CNN and talk radio host Lou Dobbs, a strong proponent of U.S. border enforcement, told his radio audience a gunshot was fired into his home after a series of threatening phone calls . "Three weeks ago this morning a shot was fired into my house, my wife was standing there," he said on his nationally syndicated radio show Monday. "This follows weeks and weeks of threatening phone calls." "This shot was fired with my wife not 15 feet away." ........

WASHINGTON — “I wish that we had come back with better news from Copenhagen,” President Barack Obama said a few weeks ago after an unsuccessful trip across the ocean to try to snag the 2016 Summer Olympics for Chicago. It wasn’t the kind of happy spin that politicians typically come up with after a failure. Call it a breath of fresh air or a turnoff. Either way, the man in the Oval Office is making a habit of confessing, apologizing, revealing and regretting. Don’t mistake it: Team Obama doesn’t miss many chances to try to put its actions in a...

Here is video of Obama's Civilian Army "Organizing for America" volunteers (Obamabots) outside a Town Hall Meeting held in Ohio by Democrat Sherrod Brown. The interviewer approaches them and asks them direct questions, and that is when the fun begins. The students are told by leaders not to talk with the person, and indicted they received emails telling them to attend the event. Of course, according to Democrats, it's only the conservatives who supposedly organize in any way. . . . . (Watch Video)

Last night’s Red Eye show discussed the upcoming film, GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra. It’s no secret that the film is drastically different from the show’s patriotic history. Host Greg Gutfeld said of the film: “The characters are no longer a typical American soldier. Instead he’s part of an elite international force. MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch calls this a business decision; I call this a wussy decision.” Of course, Hollywood does not want American heroes. They would give everyone else credit for doing good in the world before allowing our heroic soldiers a title outside the realm of “murderer.”

From: Margarida Jorge To: HCAN Field PartnersRE: HCAN—Responding to Right-Wing Attacks in the Field - August 4, 2009Since early February, we’ve seen increasing numbers of militant right-wing activists attending public meetings acrossthe country targeting Members of Congress and President Obama. Now in the August recess, the “tea-bagger” protesters and right-wing activists are showing up in larger numbers with a mission to be as disruptive as possible in thehopes of rattling Members of Congress and halting health care reform through pure spectacle and obstruction.  Our response is shaped by 3 things:  Ø Our targets are Members of Congress who must vote...

Dedicate your Saturday morning to healthcare reform! This Saturday's market is especially important because it is also Founders Day in Bancroft Park. Meet for a morning of high visibility canvassing. Our goals are to collect declarations of support for the President’s three principles for healthcare reform, inform supports on how they can take action and even share their healthcare stories, and ask supporters to join the movement by volunteering with OFA.

Freepers: I need your help. As you are aware, the terrorist attack in Little Rock, Arkansas, resulting in the murder of Pvt Long, and wounding of another garnered alot of controversy by the inaction of our President, and the mediablackout compared to the Tiller shooting. Now there is another outrage. A muslim fanatic crashed the memorial service where the National Anthem, a prayer for PVT Long were just being completed. Please go to YouTube.com, (click the link in the header), and sign up if you have to. Don't let the anti-Americans and anti-semites on Youtube take up for this gross disrespect...

Here he is, your typical Obamabot. Notice the lurid stare. Manifestation of nothing short of maniacal exuberance, a clairvoyant knowledge that every time you open your wallet little government pixies threatening to tase you will jump down off your shoulder and swipe 30 to 50 percent of its contents and promptly flush it down the toilet.

SIERRA VISTA — Supporters of President Barack Obama during his general election campaign are invited to voice suggestions on how to support his policies as part of a “listening tour” event today. Organizing for America, the continuation of the Obama campaign, has been conducting similar events across the country in and effort to hold a dialogue with supporters about issues both national and local. “OFA is committed to building on and strengthening the historic grass-roots network created during the campaign and helping advance the President’s policy agenda,” spokeswoman Natalie Wyeth said in a release. “In recent weeks, the group organized...

Perhaps they just don’t want to think through the details. Then again - - maybe some of them don’t have the capacity to think through the details. I’m referring to the apparent plethora of partisan, passionate, “see-no-evil” Obama minions, who become outraged should any of the rest of us ask questions about the forty-fourth President. I continually encounter the minions both as callers on talk radio, and as mailers responding to my various editorial columns. Whereas last year during the election cycle when I would dare to ask questions of the dear leader Obama, the minions’ first line of attack...

A strong sense of civic duty, coupled with a weak economy, is leading many college students to national service as a way to earn money for school while giving back to their country. This comes at a time when President Obama has renewed a call to service for all Americans, an “all hands on deck” approach to solving many of the systemic problems our country faces. When he signs the Serve America Act into law, which was recently passed by Congress with incredible bipartisan support thanks to groups like Georgetown’s chapter of ServeNext, young people will face unprecedented opportunities to...

Students hope to host William Ayers off-campusBoston College yesterday abruptly withdrew two student groups’ invitation to former radical William Ayers to speak on campus Monday. A BC spokesman said he was unaware of the plan for the controversial figure to speak on campus until contacted by the Herald yesterday afternoon. But students last night were scrambling to hold the speech off-campus. “After meetings between administrators and students, the decision was made to rescind the invitation,” spokesman Jack Dunn said. Dunn declined to say why, adding only, “We feel the appropriate decision has been reached.” Dunn, director of public affairs, indicated...

UPDATE: Just found this! Here's the Army in Action! So it begins... Obama's National Citizen's Security Force is still being pieced together, both at the Defense Department and in Congress. This is something completely different, but equally as dangerous. Orignally called Obama 2.0, "Organizing for America" is headed by Obama's campaign manager David Plouffe. In early January, we highlighted the beginnings of the organization of "boots on the ground" designed to pressure Americans and lawmakers into accepting Obama's socialist agenda. Transition officials call it Obama 2.0 — an ambitious effort to transform the president-elect’s vast Web operation and database of...

Guess you heard that 68% of "the youth vote" went to Obama. My granddaughter called this morning to tell me she was one of them. I replied with this e-mail: The election of Obama comes down to this. Your grandmother and I, your mother and other productive wage-earning taxpayers will have their taxes increased and that means less income. Less income means we will have to cut back on basic purchases, gifts and handouts. That includes firing the Hispanic lady who cleans our house twice a month. She just lost her job. We can't afford her anymore. What is the...

I read a disturbing story that showed advancement of the "well funded" civilian security force that candidate Barak Obama promised, and President Obama appears to deliver. The bill is passing under the guise of "volunteer" work, but would be mandatory. The bill stipulates that middle-school children would be required 50 hours per year, high schoolers 100 hours per year, and so on through college. The program included uniforms that the children will wear. I ask, why not ad a spiffy arm band with, perhaps the Obama emblem for good measure. This program will also enlist adults on up to seniors....

The Obama campaign's grassroots tack got him elected. Now volunteers across the country — including Boise — are using the same strategy to get the word out about the president's proposed budget plan. Saturday, local volunteers are go door to door, canvassing their neighborhoods to tell people about the president's plans for health care and education, green jobs and more.

Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen reads word for word a speech that Obama had just read from a teleprompter, while the president apparently thanked himself for the invitation. WASHINGTON -- Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen was just a few paragraphs into an address at a St. Patrick's Day celebration at the White House when he realized something sounded way too familiar. Turns out, he was repeating the speech President Barack Obama had just given. Cowen was set to speak twice at the White House on Tuesday night because there were two different parties going on at the executive mansion. No...

NEW YORK – Jon Stewart hammered Jim Cramer and his network, CNBC, in their anticipated face-off on "The Daily Show," repeatedly chastising the "Mad Money" host for putting entertainment above journalism. "I understand that you want to make finance entertaining, but it's not a ... game," Stewart told Cramer, adding in an expletive during the show's Thursday taping. The episode was scheduled to air at 11 p.m. EDT on Comedy Central. It was perhaps the hardest lashing Stewart has given to a TV commentator since 2004 when he called Tucker Carlson and his then co-host Paul Begala "partisan hacks" on...

New unemployment statistics show a continued upturn in D.C., Maryland and Virginia, with D.C. suffering the most. In January, seasonally adjusted unemployment rates were 9.3 percent in D.C., 6.2 percent in Maryland and 6.0 percent in Virginia. The Bureau of Labor Statistics report, released Wednesday, showed a 1.1 point increase for D.C. from December 2008; 1.0 points for Virginia; and 0.8 points for Maryland. Maryland and Virginia are below January’s national unemployment rate of 7.6 percent. The report also tracked the rise in unemployment from year to year. In January 2009, that number jumped to 30,800, representing an increase of...

... Therefore, it is okay for a majority of Republicans to want Obama to fail! How can Dems and the MSM argue against that? In August 2006, a FOX News/Opinion Dynamics poll found that 51% of Democrats wanted Bush to fail, yet, strangely, the liberal MSM doesn't want to talk about that now. I guess the losers at MSNBC, CNN, NYT, WaPo - for example - want to omit that fact. Doesn't fit in with the talking points of it never being okay to dissent against Obama's policies, which is what Rush said he was talking about. Dissent - against...

t's hard not to see the continued sell-off on Wall Street and the growing fear on Main Street as a product, at least in part, of the realization that our new president's policies are designed to radically re-engineer the market-based U.S. economy, not just mitigate the recession and financial crisis. The illusion that Barack Obama will lead from the economic center has quickly come to an end. Instead of combining the best policies of past Democratic presidents -- John Kennedy on taxes, Bill Clinton on welfare reform and a balanced budget, for instance -- President Obama is returning to Jimmy...

Many conservatives are absolutely perplexed by the question of what motivates liberals to take the patently wrong political positions they do. It’s difficult to explain it without believing such obviously wrong ideas like liberals are just stupid, or they want to destroy our country, but sometimes we resort to those explanations out of pure frustration. But what is the explanation? Why do seemingly good, intelligent people take positions that cause so much harm in the face of all the facts? I’ve finally stumbled upon the answer, and it’s so stunningly simple, yet profound in its implications, that it’s absolutely mind-boggling....

Ann Coulter made the comments on Thursday night's "Larry King Live." The Huffington Post describes the exchange: Joy [Behar] read an excerpt from Ann's book which alleged that members of the media wanted to have sex with Barack Obama during the campaign. "Did you want to have sex with George Bush? What are you talking about?" Joy asked. "Does Morley Safer want to have sex with Barack Obama? "Probably! And I know Chris Matthews does," Ann responded.

(Jan. 23) - Not everyone was happy with President Barack Obama's nod to nonbelievers and non-Christians in his inaugural address. And some of the stiff criticism about Obama’s religious inclusiveness is coming from African-American Christians who maintain that no, all faiths were actually not created equal. "For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness," the new president said. "We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this earth," he also said. Nothing too controversial, proclaiming that America's strength lies in its diversity. But between those two statements, the new president...

BRINKLEY, Ark. - Wayne Loewer's truck reveals a lot about his life. A 12-gauge shotgun for duck hunting rests on the floorboard. A blue thermal lunch bag containing elk meat is shoved under the seat, left in haste that morning by his teenage son rushing to catch the school bus. Binoculars in the console help Loewer scan his 2,900 acres of rice, soybeans and corn. The dashboard radio is set to classic rock, playing the same Lynyrd Skynyrd tunes from Loewer's high school days, when Brinkley was still a thriving small town with stores and a movie theater. His muddy...

I have been reading all over the net tonight and I don’t see the Birth Certificate issue dying anytime soon. As I sit here and write this I’m listening to my Smooth Jazz and typing away. Many sites across the net will not let this issue go even though the Supreme Court has been ignoring suit after suit after suit. On the Sean Hannity site there is a thread that will not die and more and more info is dug up by the day. Its my opinion its just a matter of time before the Main Stream Media will have...

Peddlers are pushing Barack Obama everything, from now ubiquitous T-shirts and campaign buttons, to the slightly more risqué Obama-themed cigars and “Yes, We Can!” thong underwear. But the president elect in your bathtub? Proving that the power of political kitsch transcends even the lousiest of economic times, two Dallas businessmen are stimulating their own economics by peddling Obama soap. Specifically, “The Audacity of Soap,” complete with a wrapper featuring an image of the president-elect and the slogan, “This is our moment to clean up America.” With scents ranging from “sea to shining cedar” and “blue state bluebonnet,” Obama bar proprietors...

The contemplated monument shall be like him in whose honor it is to be constructed, unparalleled in the world. . . . The TV ads tout a "genuine" U.S. Inaugural Presidential Dollar showing President-elect Barack Obama depicted in "glorious full color" for just $9.95, plus shipping and handling. A coin-collecting expert says the gold-dipped, painted coins are nothing more than a trinket, and the U.S. Mint -- the only official purveyor of U.S. currency -- says buyer beware. "They are worth the face value of the coin. If the coin says 25 cents, it's worth a quarter," says Scott Travers, author of the Coin Collector's Survival Manual and a New York City coin dealer. The U.S. Mint last month issued a warning...

Craig's assertions that the transition team was unaware of Blagojevich's efforts to sell off Obama's old seat do not correspond to the transcripts of wiretapped conversations released by the FBI two weeks ago in which the governor repeatedly swears and expresses frustration in his attempts to strike a deal on the Senate seat.

A federal regulation with a “right of conscience” provision allowing medical professionals to refuse to participate in treatments they oppose morally is set to be finalized by Bush administration officials this week. But it looks like the rule will be short-lived. The Wall Street Journal reports today that members of the Obama transition team are taking a hard look at that and other regulations that could have an effect on reproductive rights issues, with an eye on reversing them once the president-elect is in office. The rule set to go into effect this week would allow health workers to opt...

Suppose you're Bashir Assad or Putin, and you watch the Blago Blowup, a month before the next president even takes office. What are you thinking right now? First, Obama looks vulnerable to blackmail. His homey network is full of people who can't stand the light of day. They know all kinds of things the leftist media suppress -- people like Auchi (the Iraqi billionaire), Rezko (the corrupt Syrian multimillionaire), Emil Jones (the Godfather of Southside), and the whole Daley Machine. That's not even counting the freaky radicals or the pols Obama has surrounded himself with. Mayor Daley's brother is one...

The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected a second challenge to the presidency of Barack Obama, announcing today it denied an application for a stay or an injunction in a case from Connecticut. The case brought by Cort Wrotnowski had been distributed for review by the court and apparently was considered during a conference of the justices Friday. It met the same fate as an earlier case brought by Leo Donofrio and essentially challenged Obama on the same issue: allegations that dual citizenship based on a father who was a British subject and a mother who was an American minor disqualified...

LEBANON, Pa. - Before heading out the door to go to Wal-Mart, Meleanie Hain fussed over her children, grabbed her coat and keys, then ran upstairs to get one more item: her loaded Glock 26, which she strapped to her hip. She never leaves home without it. Hain, 30, has caused a stir in this rural Pennsylvania Dutch community 25 miles east of Harrisburg for packing a gun everywhere she goes, including to her 5-year-old daughter's soccer games this fall. She's paid a big price for sticking to her gun. The mother of four, who often carries a baby on...

Wow. Ace of Spades highlights a photo that suggests when Obama said, "I had no contact with the governor or his office," what he really meant was "I met him and shook his hand in front of photographers at the National Governors Association meeting last Tuesday." Which, you know, kinda makes that "no contact" statement not accurate. Or, in some less generous eyes, a lie.

CAPE CANAVERAL – NASA administrator Mike Griffin is not cooperating with President-elect Barack Obama’s transition team, is obstructing its efforts to get information and has told its leader that she is “not qualified” to judge his rocket program, the Orlando Sentinel has learned. In a heated 40-minute conversation last week with Lori Garver, a former NASA associate administrator who heads the space transition team, a red-faced Griffin demanded to speak directly to Obama, according to witnesses. In addition, Griffin is scripting NASA employees and civilian contractors on what they can tell the transition team and has warned aerospace executives not...
