Yesterday, Eric Holders Voting Section ordered Florida to stop purging foreigners from the voter rolls. Two weeks ago, Florida found 53,000 dead voters registered to vote. Florida has also found non-citizens on the voter rolls and Secretary of State Ken Detzner has started the process of removing them. Not so fast, says Eric Holders DOJ. In a letter to Detzner, the DOJ says to stop removing foreigners from the rolls. The Voting Section makes a dubious argument under Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act, a law the Obama administration has refused to enforce because of ideological opposition. The...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Okay, let's see. Bill Clinton said that Mitt Romney is a great businessman. So we have to stop criticizing Romney and Bain Capital, as Clinton heads off to supposedly help Obama in Wisconsin. And then Deval Patrick, "I like these Bain guys. These Bain guys really helped us out here in Massachusetts. They got a great record. I like Romney." It's Friday, folks. JOHNNY DONOVAN: And now, from sunny South Florida, it's Open Line Friday! RUSH: Yes siree, Bob, great to have you with us, my friends, El Rushbo in person, live, behind the Golden EIB Microphone...

Todays employment report is very discouraging. Analysts had expected employers to create around 150,000 net jobs a bit more than needed to keep up with population growth. We got fewer than half that many: just 69,000 net new jobs. Updates also showed we created almost 50,000 fewer jobs than originally reported in May and April. Job growth was weak almost across the board. Most sectors showed little to no improvement, with the main exceptions being healthcare (+33,000), transportation and warehousing (+36,000). Manufacturing edged up slightly (+12,000), as did wholesale trade (+16,000). Government employment fell (-13,000), as did construction (-28,000)....

Thou shall have no other gods before Obama. For Obama is a jealous god who demands total obeisance. In 2008, Americans voted to deify a unique man of history. Obama is much more than the first president to be raised by a transsexual nanny in Indonesia. He's also the very first commander-in-chief to thank his drug dealer in his high school yearbook, instead of his mom.

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Let's go to the audio sound bites. They are in panic mode at MSNBC. They are in panic mode at CNN. They're in panic mode at the Daily Kos. They're in panic mode at the New York Times and the Washington Post. They are in panic. I don't know where they thought this was headed. I don't know what in the world they thought was going to happen. Could somebody tell me, what has happened in the last six months to suggest that anything other than this was on tap? We've had three-and-a-half years of Obamaism. We...

Have pro-Israel liberalsat least some of the intelligent onesfinally had enough of President Obama's incompetence and dithering with respect to Israel and the Middle East? Apparently. First, there was the extraordinary column by well-known journalist Ari Shavit, a man of the left, in Israel's newspaper of the left, Haaretz, last Thursday. Here are the highlights (but by all means read the whole thing here):

The Obama campaign has been running the below ad all over the internet. When I saw it, something about it caught my eye. Upon closer inspection, I discovered what it was. The Y-axis distance from 0 to -200,000 jobs is 15 pixels, but the distance from 0 to +200,000 is 20 pixels. What the Obama campaign has done in a very subtle way is to visually and fraudulently inflate their job creation record by a third. And they thought we were too stupid to notice. Chocolate rations have been increased from thirty grams to twenty grams. --- The...

Some of Barack Obama's best friends are Jews. He says so himself. (Who knew?) The Poles, not so much. Mr. Obama is afflicted with golden tongue disease (croesus tungitus, but not in medical dictionaries), which is common to those with an eloquent tongue, particularly if the tongue is forked and bleeds around the edges. The tongue is sometimes off and running before the brain is fully engaged. In the president's case, the disease is probably terminal. The president and his croesus tungitus have had a rough week. First he offended the Polish government with a reference to "Polish death camps"...

In remarks today in Minnesota, President Obama said he hoped people would buy a "thingamajig": (Video at link) "I assume there are some folks here who could use $3,000 a year," Obama said. "Let's get that done right now. That means they're -- you know, if you got $3,000 a year extra, that helps you pay down your credit cards. That helps you go out and buy some things that your family needs. Which is good for business. Maybe somebody will be replacing some thingamajig for their furnace."

Lech Walesa was once a trade-union activist. He was often arrested for speaking his mind against Communist oppression behind the Iron Curtain in Poland and for defying the Soviet Union. He was an electrician who, with no higher education, led one of the most profound freedom movements of the 20th century Solidarity. He became president of Poland and swept in reforms, pushing the Soviet Union out of his homeland and moving the country toward a free-market economy and individual liberty. And President Obama doesnt want him to set foot in the White House.

WARSAW, Poland (AP) President Barack Obama has written a letter to the Polish president expressing "regret" for an inadvertent verbal gaffe that caused a storm of controversy in Poland this week. Obama on Tuesday used the expression "a Polish death camp" while honoring a Polish World War II resistance hero rather than wording that would have made clear that he meant a death camp that Nazi Germany operated on Polish soil during its wartime occupation of Poland.

Reading the unemployment numbers for May (can you imagine what the real ones would be?), your lefty-liberal friends should be ashamed of themselves at least those that arent committed, Cloward-Piven style, to the fall of the U.S. You know, those who wish to bankrupt our country so that it can be rebuilt as a glorious socialism like, say, Czechoslovakia circa 1962. But what we have may be worse than ClowardPiven. Its accidental Cloward-Piven. Cloward-Piven out of ineptitude. I dont need to see Obamas hidden college grades. I know hes a failure. I dont need to read The Amateur. I...

Republicans are scoffing at Democrats attempts to explain why President Barack Obamas failed green-tech investments are unimportant but Mitt Romneys few failures at Bain Capital, an otherwise wildly successful private equity firm, are a scandal. Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter tried out the new tactic during a May 30 appearance on MSNBCs Daily Rundown, when she was asked about the presidents support for Solyndra. The presidents not picking winners and losers, hes making strategic investment to promote clean energy, she said. Mitt Romneys role at Bain Capital was to make profits for his investors and for himself. There...

Gun rights advocates recently discovered that the gun control group Mayors Against Illegal Guns has burrowed its "gun violence prevention coordinators" (read "anti-gun lobbyists") into city payrolls from Augusta, Maine to Seattle, Washington, at taxpayer expense. MAIG is the brainchild of New York City's zealous anti-gun billionaire mayor, Michael Bloomberg, who formed the group at a 2006 gun control summit held in Gracie Mansion and co-hosted by Boston Mayor Thomas Menino. MAIG touts an agenda of "commonsense reforms" that gun rights advocates see as being somewhere on the far side of repealing the Second Amendment. With a membership that started...

With indications that the Dow will open more than 170 points lower, the NYSE has invoked Rule 48. Specifically, the NYSE and NYSE MKT cash equities exchanges will invoke Rule 48 for this morning's opening. Mandatory opening indications are therefore not required. Overview of Rule 48:. Rule 48 provides the Exchange with the ability to suspend the requirement to disseminate price indications and obtain Floor Official approval prior to the opening when extremely high market-wide volatility could cause Floor-wide delays in opening of securities on the Exchange. Rule 48 is intended to be invoked only in those situations where the...

Hm. The White House usually emails a daily schedule for the president and vice president, which they send out in the morning. They sent one out yesterday, to tout the hanging of former President Bushs official portrait. Fridays usually include a video wrap-up of the week just completed. But so far today, nada. If and when the White House gets around to emailing the official schedule out, it will note that on the day that we learned unemployment has ticked back up to 8.2% and previous jobs numbers have been revised negatively, President Obama is not focused on the economy...

President Obama wrote a letter to the president of Poland in which he expressed regret for his words during the Medal of Freedom ceremony in which he referred to World War II-era Polish death camp instead of a Nazi death camp in Germany-occupied Poland. In referring to a Polish death camp rather than a Nazi death camp in German-occupied Poland, I inadvertently used a phrase that has caused many Poles anguish over the years and that Poland has rightly campaigned to eliminate from public discourse around the world, President Obama wrote. I regret the error and agree that this moment...

According to the Wall Street Journal, Polish officials requested that Walesa accept the Medal of Freedom on behalf of Jan Karski, a member of the Polish Underground during World War II who was being honored posthumously this week. The request makes sense. Walesa and Karski shared a burning desire to rid Poland of tyrannical subjugation. But President Obama said no.

In his talks with President Obama in March, David Cameron reportedly gained assurances from the White House that Washington would stop pressing for negotiations between London and Buenos Aires over the sovereignty of the Falklands. If such an assurance was given, it was surely worthless. As Mercosur Press (South Atlantic News Agency) has just reported, the State Department is once again calling for UK-Argentina negotiations, ahead of next weeks Organisation of American States summit in Bolivia:

Former President Bill Clinton suggested in a television interview Thursday that he believes President Obama's re-election campaign should stop trashing Mitt Romney's work in the private equity industry. In an interview with CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight," Clinton, a top Obama surrogate who is set to raise cash with the president next week, directly contradicted Democrats who have attacked Romney's business record, suggesting it does qualify him for president. "I think he had a good business career," Clinton told guest host Harvey Weinstein, a movie mogul who is one of Obama's top fundraisers. "There's no question that in terms of getting...

TALLAHASSEE, Fla Federal authorities are demanding that Florida halt its push to remove ineligible voters from the voter rolls. In a move that comes just months before the state could play a pivotal role in the 2012 presidential election, the U.S. Department of Justice contends that the state is violating federal law in its effort to identify and remove ineligible voters. The state's effort has already come under fire from local election supervisors who belong to both political parties, as well as Democratic members of Congress and voting rights groups. Chris Cate, a spokesman for the Florida Department of...

Flying to Minnesota under the banner of "official business" - an event at a Honeywell factory in a Minneapolis suburb - Obama will quickly turn to politics, lunching with three separate sets of donors at the downtown...

Top administration officials cut backroom deals with the nations top drug companies to win support for President Obamas health care overhaul, threatening them with steeper taxes if they resisted and promising a better financial deal for the industry if they acquiesced, according to internal documents released Thursday by House Republicans. Problems in the job market were long in the making and will not be solved overnight. The economy lost jobs for 25 straight months beginning in February 2008, and over 8 million jobs were lost as a result of the Great Recession. We are still fighting back from the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Today we learned that the economy has added private sector jobs for 27 straight months, for a total of 4.3 million payroll jobs over that period. The economy is growing but it is not growing fast enough. BLSs establishment survey shows that private businesses...

The CIA has begun an internal investigation into whether a process designed to screen books by former employees and protect national security secrets is being used in part to censor agency critics, U.S. officials said. The investigation coincides with the publication of a flurry of books from CIA veterans, and it is largely aimed at determining whether some redactions have been politically motivated. Among the publications expected to get particular scrutiny is a memoir by the former head of the CIAs clandestine service, Jose A. Rodriguez Jr., who used his book, Hard Measures: How Aggressive CIA Actions After 9/11 Saved...

Obamas Polish Death Camp Comment Infuriates Polish Americans By Pete Winn May 31, 2012 (CNSNews.com) President Obama not only angered the people of Poland with a comment he made on Tuesday referring to Polish death camps -- he also infuriated Polish Americans, many of whom live in Obamas home town of Chicago. The Polish-American Congress, based in Chicago, has sent a letter to Obama saying as much and demanding an apology. Our community in the United States and abroad was deeply hurt by your reference to the Polish death camps, Polish-American Congress President Frank J. Spula wrote. This is...

The book will make you shudder. It is Edward Klein's The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House, a devastating picture of a president so far in over his head as to make your own head spin. HOUSTON A Canadian company seeking to build a pipeline to transport crude oil from Canada to Gulf Coast refineries has submitted a new application for the southern segment of the project that avoids sensitive wetlands in Texas. TransCanada submitted its new application in April, after the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency raised concerns about the effect the original plan would have on wetlands along the Texas Gulf Coast and called for a more rigorous review process. Under the new plan, the company will drill under the wetlands rather than run across them, eliminating the need for EPA involvement, said Vicki...

No matter what propaganda we see from the elite media or from Barack Obama supporters, the American people will not be fooled. The May report by The Conference Board showed consumer confidence at its lowest point in the last five months. Businesses are already building in the increased costs of doing business in America if Obama wins a second term. They have already been regulated to death, but the threats that come with four years, particularly if Republicans do not control both the House and Senate, have virtually every entity that employs people - from the largest to the smallest...

Apparently, as with so many other things, some people who hold the Presidency have class and some dont. To all appearances, former President George W. Bush is the former, and current President Barack Obama is the latter, at least if this afternoons unveiling of former President Bushs Presidential portrait is any guide. This event which is, at least in theory, supposed to be free of partisan sniping, got an earful of just that when President Obama gave his introductory remarks welcoming Bush: President Obama on Thursday twisted the knife hed stuck in his predecessors legacy, reminding former President George...

The number is one of the best high-frequency predictors of the economy and the market, so this is big. If this stays tame, it will do a lot to assure that things aren't deteriorating too badly. UPDATE: The number is 383K, a miss from an upwardly revised.

During an interview with CNNs Suzanne Malveaux, Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) discussed everything from the Trayvon Martin shooting, to gay marriage, to his upcoming retirement. And while none of these are surprising for this congressman to talk about, the eye-opening moment occurred when he said (with a straight face) that president Obama has helped turn around the mess of the economy. ‘Axelrod is endeavoring not to panic.” So reads a sentence in John Heilemann’s exhaustive article on Barack Obama’s campaign in this week’s New York magazine.Heilemann is a fine reporter and was co-author with Time’s Mark Halperin of a best-selling book on the 2008 presidential campaign. While his sympathies are undoubtedly with Obama, he does a fine job of summarizing the arguments and tactics of both sides. And he’s capable of directing snark at both candidates. Samples: Romney “seems to suffer a hybrid of affluenza and Tourette’s.” “A cynic might say that the liberation Obama feels is the freedom from, you...

A hearing has been scheduled in a Florida court to allow attorneys representing the White House to support their claim that the term natural born citizen in the U.S. Constitution means something other than the offspring of two American citizens. Judge Terry Lewis in Leon County has set a hearing for June 18 to consider arguments from both sides of a challenge to Obamas name on the 2012 state election ballot. Lewis is credited with making crucial rulings in the contested 2000 presidential election, when ultimately a Florida vote recount was halted by the U.S. Supreme Court and George W....

It's Barack Obama's house now, but his predecessor and political foil, George W. Bush, stole the show at the White House on Thursday with his wisecracks and grin. Legislation to ban sex-selective abortions failed to pass today despite it being supported by the majority of the House. The final vote was 246-168. The reason it failed was that this particular proposal required a two-thirds majority to pass; therefore the bill fell 30 votes short. This is just one more sign of how morally bankrupt some in this nation have become. There are many of us out here who are as disgusted by the wickedness that permeates every fiber of the Democrat Party. However, just like in Nazi Germany and other moments of darkness in world history - enough...
