Obama Officially Endorses Abortion-Funding Health Care Bill Washington, DC -- With a new statement released today from the White House, President Barack Obama finally officially put his imprimatur on the House health care bill that contains massive abortion funding. Obama has previously been criticized for saying he wanted no abortion funding but lobbying for the bill. http://www.lifenews.com/nat5626.html

Think the bluedog's will be feeling some heat? This from a CNN poll of all places: Of course CNN spins away with this headline: CNN Poll: Public wants Congress to keep working on health care Puhlease.... ...only a quarter say those bills should be passed pretty much as is, with a third suggesting that Congress should make major changes. The poll also indicates that one in four say lawmakers should start from scratch and 15 percent want Congress to stop all work on health care reform. (Excerpt) Read more at floppingaces.net

In honor of those mourning the victims, Obama said he has ordered all flags at the White House and other federal buildings to be flown at half staff until Veteran's Day, Nov. 11.

"What? No, sorry bro, I don't have $5 I can send you. Things are pretty rough right now with the economy and stuff. Plus US Presidents don't make all that much money anyway." "Oh, that's ok, I understand. Can you hold on just a minute, I have to go to the bathroom, it will only take about 45 minutes."

Michelle Obama is to be the first presidential wife to appear on a reality TV series. The First Lady will make a guest appearance on 'Iron Chef America' which features British cook Nigella Lawson as a judge. The episode of the popular series, which pits well-known chefs against each others, has been filmed at the White House and will be aired in the New Year. Many of the ingredients for the meals prepared in the show were chosen from the recently planted White House vegetable garden.

One would think (hope) that by now President Obama couldn't reach any new lows with yet another display of crass, pathological narcissism. Yes, this post is almost a day late (a lifetime in blog years). I read about President Facetime's "shout out" yesterday but didn't have the stomach to watch it. In fact, after the news about Ft. Hood broke I didn't have much of a stomach for anything. Viewing the video today, I was stunned at how remarkably clueless Barack Obama is. His complete lack of understanding of what an appropriate presidential response under those circumstances should have been...

In the wake of yesterday's mass murder/terror attack at Ft Hood, speculation continues as to the motive, given the government's unwillingness to classify the act as terror related. While it seems obvious that terror was the plan, and that the terror was based on Islamic religious beliefs, it's also possible that there was another, entirely unrelated cause - this may be the first ever incident of terrorism associated with disappointment in Obama's broken campaign promises.

When Barack Obama became president on Jan 20, the nation's unemployment rate was 7.2%. Using "crisis" and fear to pass their ridiculous "stimulus" plan (which was designed to stimulate Obama's parties' favorite constituents) the Obama administration promised that if the stimulus bill was passed, then unemployment rate would not go above 8%. By February, the unemployment rate had exceeded the Obama administration's unemployment projection for the entire year.

Green groups and activists for the developing world on Thursday accused rich nations of tiptoeing away from vows to seal a binding, far-reaching UN treaty on climate change in Copenhagen next month. Their bitter response came after European Union (EU) negotiators in Barcelona spelt out the likelihood that the much-trumpeted pact would be concluded in 2010, not at the December 7-18 meeting as planned. The talks, launched under a two-year "road map" in Bali, call for a global accord to curb emissions of heat-trapping carbon gases beyond 2012 and channel funds to poor countries most threatened by drought, floods, storms...

Policy-wise, Barack Obama arguably came into his presidency unqualified. His foreign policy naiveté and spread-the-wealth-around fiscal policy mentality has thus far been a disaster. Unemployment continues to rise, North Korea and Iran continue to be pests, Hugo Chavez is emboldened, eco-radicals are taking over the legislative agenda, and Nancy Pelosi is dictating how health care will work in America. A number of friends in the military have told me that as Commander-in-Chief they must respect the office but they do not respect the person. So is Obama giving the office the respect it deserves by at least conducting himself like...

Attorney General Buddy Caldwell has served a search warrant at the ACORN office at 2609 Canal Street, according to Tammi Arender Herring, a spokeswoman with the office. Investigators in khaki pants and polo shirts loaded several dozen computers and other electronic items into an SUV. They are also carrying records out of the building on handcarts. The large office building sits at the corner of Dorgenois and Canal. ACORN staffers were given no notice that a search would be conducted today, Herring said. "They have been extremely cooperative," she said. Early last month, Caldwell's office issued subpoenas for records from...

In a fast-breaking development comes word that agents of the Attorney’s General office in Louisiana have raided ACORN’s offices in New Orleans. ACORN’s New Orleans was, for decades, the headquarters of the national community organizing association. News of the raid comes from Marcel Reid and her colleagues at ACORN 8, an association of former ACORN leaders and board members. Many of the individuals involved with ACORN 8 were fired from ACORN for demanding a forensic audit following an embezzlement scandal involving Dale Rathke, brother of ACORN co-founder Wade Rathke. Check back her for more details, as well as a statement...

In at best a very tacky action, and at worse an incredibly disrespectful action the commander in chief gave a minute long shout-out and pumped his conference before addressing the tragic deaths of our servicemen and women down at Fort Hood. The President should have discussed our soldiers than praised his advisors for their stupid conference.

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama said Friday the entire nation is grieving for those slain at Fort Hood, and he urged people not to jump to conclusions while law enforcement officers investigate the shootings. Obama met Friday morning with FBI Director Robert Mueller and other federal leaders to get an update on what they've learned. Thirteen people were killed and 30 others injured in the shooting rampage at the Texas Army post on Thursday. The suspected shooter is an Army psychiatrist; his motive remains unclear. "We don't know all the answers yet. And I would caution against jumping to...

Obama's Frightening Insensitivity Following ShootingA bad week for Democrats compounded by an awful moment for Barack Obama. By ROBERT A. GEORGE Updated 9:18 AM CST, Fri, Nov 6, 2009 President Obama didn't wait long after Tuesday's devastating elections to give critics another reason to question his leadership, but this time the subject matter was more grim than a pair of governorships. After news broke out of the shooting at the Fort Hood Army post in Texas, the nation watched in horror as the toll of dead and injured climbed. The White House was notified immediately and by late afternoon, word...

There's not much that union supporters and I can agree upon. But here is one incident where I can wholeheartedly support the aggrieved members of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) who have found themselves victims of their own union. The SEIU wanted to renegotiate a contract with officials of Sonoma County, California for its in-home healthcare workers supported by county funds. SEIU representatives met with and crafted a new contract with the assistance of County officials. This was all done behind closed doors without the general knowledge of or the assistance of the workers themselves. But that isn't the...

Yesterday President Obama shocked many people with his light-hearted attempt at humor and "shout-outs" in remarks made directly after the Ft. Hood terrorist attack. The callous disconnect with other people's suffering shouldn't surprise anyone who's been watching him - date nights in NYC, an endless stream of grand parties at the White House, and attacks on small business, all during a deep recession. This is the "compassion" of a liberal in action. Don't kid yourself. This man has nothing but contempt for us all. Even NBC Chicago has taken note:

President Obama said Friday he met with FBI chief Robert Mueller and other federal agencies to discuss what may have caused Nidal Malik Hasan to turn on his comrades in Thursday's shooting rampage at Fort Hood that left 13 people dead and 28 wounded. In the wake of the deadliest mass shooting at a U.S. base, President Obama on Friday cautioned against jumping to conclusions on the motive of the suspect. "We don't know all the answers yet and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts," Obama said on the White House lawn.

We don't look at either of these gubernatorial races . . . as something that portends a lot for our legislative efforts," insisted White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on Tuesday, as New Jersey and Virginia voters gave Democrats a thumping. Unfortunately for the White House, its opinion no longer counts. On Jan. 20, Barack Obama began a race against time. The White House knew its liberal agenda would prove unpopular in many parts of the country represented by Democrats. So long as the president looked strong, those Blue Dogs and freshmen and swing-state senators would stick. Show them any...

5 minutes ago WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama will attend a memorial service for those killed at Thursday's mass shooting at Fort Hood, Texas. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs on Friday said a service will be scheduled at the convenience of the families who lost loved ones during one of the largest mass shooting on a military base. Gibbs says a service has not yet been scheduled and it would be planned around the families' schedules, not the president's.

Michele Bachmann and the Republicans’ “House Call” that drew thousands had the effect that I was expecting; Obama is planning on going to Walter Reed to avoid protesters on Friday, and then twist some arms and create some tingles on Saturday, Chicago style, before the House vote that will establish 118 new government agencies to take away what is left of our freedom. He is probably expecting the protesters to be gone by Saturday’s vote. Now why would the Tea Party Patriots do that? Good luck with that Mr. pResident. If you do get this POS bill passed, 2010 is...

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand says the purpose of cap and trade is to enrich investment banks..."Attack with what comes up, with what God sends," underscores the need to exploit opportunities to destroy an enemy, and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) has provided such an opportunity to demolish Barack Obama's cap and trade agenda. It allows our side to totally reverse the focus of cap and trade from protection of the environment, polar ice caps, polar bears, and so on to enrichment of investment banks and similar entities at the expense of the working American. Gillibrand's letter to the Wall Street Journal says...

Borrowing from a myriad of myths, Obama has ridden the myth phenomenon into the White House. There is an underlying problem with myths, they are most often based on falsehoods, exaggerations, and innuendos. Can a presidency based on myths survive four years? Perhaps we can draw a conclusion if we examine his personal myths with perspicuity. The Ubermenschen Myth, Obama’s myth designers borrowed heavily from Nietzsche’s concept of Ubermenschen symbolism. In the novel, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, written in 1833, by Friedrich Nietzshce, features Zarathustra the protagonist, who offers his gift to mankind, the idea of Ubermenschen. A literal translation of...

U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal, now a Republican candidate for governor, this morning declared himself in sympathy with those questioning whether President Barack Obama was born in the U.S.A. The occasion was an online chat the congressman had with supporters this morning. And the question came from Tom Crawford of Capitol Impact. Do you believe that Barack Obama is a native-born American citizen who is eligible to serve as president? I am asking because your comments on this issue have been a little ambiguous. I would appreciate your clearing this up. At 9:17 a.m., Deal tapped out this: I am joining...

10.2% in October! Remember that Obama claimed the stimulus bill would save or create millions of jobs. It didn't. Remember that the Obama Administration said that the stimulus bill would keep unemployment from rising above 8% and that the bill was too important to take the time to read it? Remember that after a slight dip in unemployment in August Obama claimed that he had "rescued our economy from catastrophe?" Well now reality is starting to set in. As Obama's chief White House economist testified before Congress last month the stimulus that was to be the cornerstone of Obama's economic...

Health Care Bill Includes Monthly Abortion Premium: House Minority Leader Boehner By James TillmanNovember 6, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - According to House Republican Leader John Boehner, the government-run health care bill being considered in Congress would include "a monthly abortion premium ... [to] be charged of all enrollees in the government-run plan."On his blog Boehner states that this premium "will be paid into a U.S. Treasury account - and these federal funds will be used to pay for the abortion services."He continues: "Section 213 [of the bill] describes the process in which the Health Benefits Commissioner is to assess...

The White House’s stimulus program is a joke. Indeed, the Obama administration would be better served if it handed out money on the side of the street, than it is by its current job creation program. Consider the current numbers: Reports to be released Friday on the government Web site Recovery.gov are expected to show that the $150 billion in grants and loans made so far under the economic stimulus package have created or saved about 650,000 jobs, White House officials said Friday morning. Now, some simple math: Cost: $150,000,000,000 “Created or saved” jobs: 650,000 Cost per “created or saved”...

In what some see as tongue-in-cheek rhetoric and others see as downright deception, the Obama administration has declared that the $787 billion stimulus bill saved or created some 650,000 jobs by the end of last month. In what has almost become a running joke and sure fodder for a potential Saturday Night Live TV skit, the ruling czar-laced regime continues to tout imagined “air jobs” recreated in the face of the fact that the economy has lost 1.3 million jobs since the president was elected. Yet, Obama’s starry-eyed disciplines go on to say that government and private forecasters estimate that...

WASHINGTON (AFP) – The US unemployment rate jumped to 10.2 percent in October as 190,000 jobs were shed, the government said Friday in data highlighting ongoing struggles of an economy emerging from recession. The Labor Department report, seen as one of the best indicators of economic momentum, showed a rise in the jobless rate, up from 9.8 percent in September, to the highest since 1983. But the number of jobs lost narrowed to the lowest level in over a year. The jobless rate shot above the key 10 percent barrier for the first time since June 1983, even though the...

As a talk-radio host officially banned in Britain for "fostering hatred," Michael Savage has unearthed a greater story from the ooze -- revealed in the very title of his new book, "Banned in Britain: Beating the Liberal Blacklist." Indeed, Mr. Savage contends that some nefarious "trans-Atlantic occlusion" was afoot in the decision to place him on a list of undesirables that included terrorists and murderers. And the book is just the beginning. "A petition will be circulated in Congress next week by concerned lawmakers. They will demand that the U.S. State Department act on my behalf as an American citizen...

Even before the polls opened on Tuesday, pundits and spinners were managing election-night expectations. The pros of politics and journalism can read the polls as well as the rest of us. Better, in fact. They knew Republican candidates in Virginia and in New Jersey had better-than-even chances to win their races. One African-American talk-show host, and an unabashed supporter of the president, emphatically warned victories by Robert McDonnnell in Virginia and Chris Christie in New Jersey should not be interpreted as referendums on Barack Obama. Virginia, he pointed out, historically elects a governor from the party not occupying the White...

WASHINGTON -- Sure, Election Day 2009 will scare moderate Democrats and make passage of Obamacare more difficult. Sure, it makes it easier for resurgent Republicans to raise money and recruit candidates for 2010. But the most important effect of Tuesday's elections is historical. It demolishes the great realignment myth of 2008.In the aftermath of last year's Obama sweep, we heard endlessly about its fundamental, revolutionary, transformational nature. How it was ushering in an FDR-like realignment for the 21st century in which new demographics -- most prominently, rising minorities and the young -- would bury the GOP far into the future....

The House Ethics Committee is trying to figure out how to clear seven crooked Black Democrats. Blacks you must remember are untouchables in Democrat-think. These Black crooks aren’t going down easy. The economic for October predictions were 175,000 non-farm jobs lost, and an unemployment rate at or just below 10%. Just based on initial unemployment filings, I think you’d have had to count on people continuing to drop out of the system to get numbers that low. So what actually happened? As of this morning, the Bureau of Labor Statistics tells us that we lost 190,000 non-farm jobs, and that the unemployment rate has risen to 10.2%. So let’s have a gander at where that puts us on the “OMG Christine Romer and Jared Bernstein Are Teh Suck” chart: That’s pretty...

Yow. The BLS employment report is out and it's not good. [snip] Our government, by choosing to protect the oligarchs and banksters instead of allowing the market to force the bad debt out into the open where it defaults has chosen to saddle our nation's citizens with unconscionable and unsustainable debt loads, both at a government and personal level. This was a critical error and, as I expected and predicted, it is now being reflected directly into the employment situation.

(SNIP) But instead of a somber chief executive offering reassuring words and expressions of sympathy and compassion, viewers saw a wildly disconnected and, inappropriately light president making introductory remarks. At the event, a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Department of Interior's Bureau of Indian affairs, the president thanked various staffers and offered a "shout-out" to "Dr. Joe Medicine Crow -- that Congressional Medal of Honor winner." Three minutes in, the president spoke about the shooting, in measured and appropriate terms. Who is advising him?

Twelve soldiers were murdered in cold blood at Fort Hood, Texas. Thirty others were wounded. Our Commander in Chief calls a press conference and begins it with a long thanks to the Department of the Interior and Native Americans who just concluded a conference and then gives a good natured ''shout out'' to an attendee , all with a studied nonchalance, before he even mentions the outrage on our military base. SINGAPORE (Reuters) – Barack Obama has done it again. The president's starpower has made the United States the place most people want to visit and do business with, according to an annual survey that ranks nations like retail brands. Australia came in third this year with Canada rising to second place. New Zealand and France rounded up the top five country brands in this year's index that included 102 countries.
