The clearest sign that the "blue model" of governance is failing can be found in statistics compiled by United Van Lines, the nation's largest moving company.  They report that outbound residents in New York outnumber inbound residents by 2-1 – a higher percentage of any state except New Jersey and Illinois. Overall. the East Coast is seeing an exodus of citizens, with 59% of moves in that region outbound. Albany Times Union: The 2016 National Movers Study by Fenton, Mo.- based United also found that almost 59 percent of the moves within the eastern United States were outbound. Where were...

The borough is considered deep blue, but there are red zones too. Consider Dyker Heights. It is no secret that the vast majority of Brooklyn residents, 79% to be exact, voted for Hillary Clinton on November 8. It’s a large borough, though, and out past the rapidly gentrifying brownstone neighborhoods and downtown glass high-rises that have become Brooklyn’s national representation, things can look different. While they may be in the minority in the city, some neighborhoods at the southern and eastern edges of Brooklyn have quite a bit in common with Trump’s electorate.

Being on the hook is not going to be pretty when interest rates are raised back up, and debts come due. At a personal level, it will mean more stress and juggling to make ends meet. For the larger economy, it will mean cities and states unable to meet obligations or balance their budgets – ending in bankruptcy, and bailouts. Meanwhile, millions of people are relying on that money to keep coming in order to survive. Something is going to go very wrong. Relying upon government to function and send you money is not a secure plan. The mathematics are...

The unanimous Supreme Court decision in the New Jersey Caetano case is now being used against New York State's ban on stun guns. In the Caetano PER CURIAM decision (pdf), the Court held that: The Court has held that “the Second Amendment extends, prima facie, to all instruments that constitute bearable arms, even those that were not in existence at the time of the founding,” District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U. S. 570, 582 (2008), and that this “Second Amendment right is fully applicable to the States,” McDonald v.Chicago, 561 U. S. 742, 750 (2010). A few days...

Anyone seeking to understand the psyche of Donald Trump might want to visit a nearly century-old packaging company just off Route 19 in Paterson. There sits Levine Industries, an operation owned by three generations of the same family — most recently by Ted Levine, a 68-year-old businessman who has a few similarities to the billionaire real estate mogul who is now the front runner for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. He doesn't look like Trump. But his personality? "We are going to have the best product that ever existed," Levine exclaimed Friday while discussing an innovative alternative to the hazardous...

An array of figures from Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s inner circle—including a confidante so close the governor called him “my father’s third son”—got slapped with a sweeping 14-count federal indictment today, which alleges they colluded in a pair of schemes to solicit bribes for state assistance and to rig economic development contracts for companies that gave to Cuomo’s campaigns.

A first date went terribly wrong when a man was gunned down outside a bar after he jokingly said he voted for President-elect Donald Trump. Shaunita Walker told WSB-TV that she and Mitchell Mormon Jr. were outside Church Bar on Edgewood Avenue in Atlanta at about 3 a.m. Saturday when her new date got into an argument with another man who pulled a gun. Walker, 25, said the alleged shooter uttered something disrespectful to her as she went back into the bar, angering Mormon, 32, who confronted the man and began arguing with him. Walker said Mormon jokingly told the...

As they navel-gaze, wondering why one of the biggest election machines in the country’s history lost to an under-funded, untutored, political outsider who was continually slammed by the media, Democrats should focus on -- Mrs. Perleman. Mrs. Perleman, who owns and operates a successful skin care salon, voted for Donald Trump. She does not broadcast that decision because she lives in Manhattan and like so many others, has been shamed into hiding her choice. She is especially cautious since many of her clients are female and distraught that Hillary Clinton lost. (Respecting her discretion, this is not her real name.)...

Thirteen cases of mumps have now been confirmed at the State University of New York at New Paltz, an increase of four since last week.At least eight members of the school's intercollegiate swim team, along with one athletics staff member, are among the sick. Swim practices and workouts were suspended as a precaution at the onset of the initial outbreak. 2 Mumps Cases Confirmed on SUNY Campuses; Outbreak Expands It's not clear if the additional four cases are connected to the mumps spread on the swim team, which county health officials first learned of a month ago. Last week, college health...

New York City's red state finally got its revenge. Staten Island voters overwhelmingly backed Donald Trump on Tuesday, bucking not only Hillary Clinton, but the other four Democrat-heavy boroughs. "Of course it's vindication," said retired NYPD detective John Sellenthin as he gladly posed next to the "Trump/Pence" sign in front of his cozy Castleton Corners home. "The media, the Establishment, the liberals all wanted Hillary Clinton. And I said, 'Of course I'm doing the opposite!'" This victory was particularly sweet because the professionals on the other side of the Harbor were so sure it wasn't going to happen. But the...

First time ever that I signed up as stb 56 yr old female, naturalized citizen originally from Canada to work the polls. I was flanked by two "experienced" Democrats who had worked the polls for an eternity, native U.S. citizens.

They will never believe it. my Transcript from the video: Alan Schulkin - Commisioner Board of Elections -NYC. There's lots of voter fraud going on out there. They put people in busses and move them around to certain neighborhoods. They drive them from polling site to polling site to vote.... The buses frequent all kinds of minority neighborhoods: Black, Hispanic, and Chinese. We can't ask for ID. It is against the law to ask for identification to vote in NY. Doesn't matter anyway,...

People ask me all the time: How do I find out if my town is targeted? Frankly there is no list put out by the federal government and its paid resettlement contractors. They are very secretive about the selection process. We heard recently that there are 47 new sites and we have only so far identified those listed below. But, this article from Watertown, NY is a prime example of how you get a hint that something is up! Usually a local newspaper writes a puffy piece like this one about how great it would be for Watertown to revitalize...

BRENTWOOD, N.Y. — Four dead teenagers. Two weeks. One town. And a ruthless gang, the authorities say, was most likely responsible for the toll. Again. On Sept. 13, Nisa Mickens, 15, and her best friend, Kayla Cuevas, 16, were murdered, their battered bodies found near an elementary school here. A week later and just two miles away, the skeletal remains of two more teenagers — identified as Oscar Acosta, 19, and Miguel Garcia-Moran, 15 — were found in the woods near a psychiatric hospital. Oscar had been missing since May, Miguel since February. Their deaths have been ruled homicides.

Background: We live in one of the surrounding towns of the "City of Evil" Ithaca, NY. If you go to the store, any store, you go to Ithaca. (about 5 miles away). I bought my wife a couple of Trump for president T-shirts. When I gave them to her she said, "What are you trying to get me killed?" She loves the shirts. Today she wore one for the first time. She went to the fitness center, the post office, Walmart, etc. When she got back she was all excited. She said that I wouldn't believe all the feedback she...
