Sundance at The Conservative Tree House has written posts commenting on Ted Cruz's proselytizing as an electoral campaign strategy. Freepers have seen at least a couple of examples of this strategy recently, with threads being posted about Cruz calling on supporters to "don the full armor of God" to resist "incoming attacks" (presumably from dark forces!), or that the "Body of Christ" must be energized to gain the victory. This type of rhetoric is also heavily prominent in his campaign fund raising. One of the more epic and cringe inducing examples comes from an apparent leak by the Cruz campaign...

With Christmas fast approaching and the public's attention in other places, the pieces appear to be falling in for Democrat Governor Tom Wolf to get the 30.8 billion dollar budget he wants along with 2.2 billion dollars in tax increases over the next 18 months. It looked like the big spending deal approved by the Republican controlled Senate 43-7 was being shot down in the House last Saturday when a pension reform bill was shot down in flames. But now a group of the mostly liberal Republicans in the House, mainly from the southeastern part of Pennsylvania, have stepped up....

I'm so Politically Correct that: I will commit national suicide, I will allow any and all who want to come here I will continue to bash any one that even appears to be a patriot. I will not accept that Islam is at war with us and has been at war with the world for 1400 years. I will accept murder of children as a form of birth control. I will not allow the exchange of ideas in what was our institutes of learning. I will accept the theory that disagreeing with anyone is a form of aggression. Etc, Etc....

France's unpopular Socialist President Francois Hollande is talking tough after the latest terrorist outrage, which makes the terrorist incidents earlier this year seem small by comparison. His failure to meaningfully fight terrorism is laid bare and Hollande is now struggling in the face of regional elections on December 6th which could see National Front leader Marine Le Pen winning leadership in the northeast of the country and her niece Marion Marechal Le Pen winning leadership in the southeast. The real story of what's really happening when it comes to terrorism comes from the Obama Administration and its Secretary of Defense,...

. 2015-10-29 Presidential Election Observations by Free Republic's Patton@Bastogne Post GOP Presidential Debate (Three) on 2015-10-28 Jim Robinson's Free Republic Conservative website is the premier internet forum for political discussions. Since 1996 Free Republic's astute political observers have parsed and dissected Presidential Candidates better than anyone. Last night's GOP Presidential Debate Three (Colorado) featured several developments and suprises. Conventional MSM Pundits and George Will will predictably conclude that John Kasisch and Mike Huckabee are headed for the political exit. Dr. Krauthammer and George Will also may lament that "Yeb" Bush and Christ Christy will probably be "expelled" after Debate IV....

Paul Ryan - Wisconsin John Boehner - Ohio Dennis Hastert - Illinois And of course we have Kevin McCarthy from California and Sally McMorris-Hyphen from Washington. Only Steve Scalise is from a Republican state, and they'll protect him from removal with their runoff procedure. An insulated leadership, free from the pressures of removal from power by conservatives. They've protected themselves from another Eric Cantor event happening.

As America continues in its death spiral, Americans will not let go of their godless bent and self willed passions (Gal. 5:19-21, 1 Tim 4:1-4, 2 Tim 3:1-7, 2 Thess. 2:10-12). Whether one be a left wing progressive or a squishy moderate or even a conservative, all seek an existence here in this fallen world apart from a saving relationship to Almighty God which is found in Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12, Rom.1:18-32, 10:4). Almighty God is already allowing this nation to reap the horrific lawless consequences from our nation's unrighteous doings. It is my personal belief that Almighty God is...

"Washington is a script. Things do not happen spontaneously. We are made to think they are...I think that all of this was already arranged and agreed to before you and I heard a word of it..." That's Rush Limbaugh's description on his show yesterday about the show now playing out in Washington DC with the anointing of Paul Ryan as Speaker of the House. The supporters of Paul Ryan have their marching orders and their talking points for all us 'infidels' and 'non-believers' out there. "Who do you want instead?" they chime in. I have an answer for them. Its...

The takeaway from the House "Freedom Caucus" (Sarc) meeting with Paul Rino, uh Ryan is that with 2/3 support from those 40 or so members he is over the 218 votes needed to become Speaker of the House. Ryan, with a 58 percent Conservative Review rating (an F rating, no pun intended) looks to be on his way. I have always maintained that 95 percent of House Republicans either fake or repudiate conservatism. That means out of the 247 GOP House members, only 12.35 or five percent really mean it when it comes to conservatism. And it looks like that's...

It was 40 years ago that a Russian called out the hypocrisy and moral bankruptcy of the West in the way it confronted Communism. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn laid bare the appeasing of the Communists and a foreign policy that said some Communists were better than others like the Chinese and Romanian ones that RIchard NixOn made friends with. Now a Russian leader has come along to call out the hypocrisy and moral bankruptcy of the West in waging its "War on Terrorism". A 'war' in which some terrorists are considered friends while others are enemies. In his column last Sunday ("Mail...

The ’80s classic Back to the Future Part II isn’t just one of the greatest sequels of all time. It was also a visual feast for the eyes that gave us an (exciting) peek at what 2015 MIGHT look like. But the movie also left us wanting a few things that we hoped would be available by 2015, like Marty’s bad-ass Nike self-lacing sneakers… …the iconic AF hoverboard… …and of course, the oh-so-cool looking Pepsi Perfect bottle. Well, Pepsi finally delivered and created Pepsi Perfect!!! According to USA Today, the limited-edition Pepsi Perfect (which is Pepsi made with REAL sugar)...

Since the heydey of Pope John Paul II's pontificate, there has been a significant phenomenon in the US of politically and/or culturally conservative people converting to Catholicism. With the current pope's politically liberal rhetoric, will we see fewer of these conversions? Also, it's interesting that talking about global warming has proved to be a pretty effective way to get the media to stop focusing on pedophile-coverup scandals. You don't suppose that's part of the strategy, do you?

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Clayton County police are investigating threats against officers made by a woman in videos posted on the Internet. Police say the woman who made the Internet threats lives a mile-and-a-half from a Clayton County police station. The videos are filled with profanity and hate for white people. The woman in the video, who goes by the name Eye Empress Sekhmet, calls for a war on not only white people, but she advocates shooting police officers. "I say let's have a take a gun day, and start walking up on these untrained and stealing their weapons," Empress...

As El Rushbo put it yesterday 'all guns' were 'trained on Trump' last night from the media onslaught to the candidates blasting him on the stage. It was reminiscent of Clint Eastwood in "The Gauntlet" driving the bus through a torrent of bullets and emerging bloodied but still the hero and the winner. The media in its virtual entirety had an agenda driven by its talking points before and after the debate, talking points coming obviously from one source, the Republican Establishment. The spin was all about Carly Fiorina and how good she was going into the debate and how...

For millions of Americans Donald Trump is a voice of reality in politics in the midst of voices of fantasy and illusion in political speech. Look at the latest stunning development in British politics, the election of a straightforward leftist Jeremy Corbyn as leader of the Labour Party. In his "Daily Mail" column last Sunday, Peter Hitchens tells the story of Corbyn which sounds so much like that of Donald Trump. "If (like me) you have attended any of Mr. Corbyn's overflowing campaign meetings, you will have seen the hunger-among the under-30s and over-50s especially-for principled, grown-up politics instead of...

Donald Trump is at it again. He recently criticized Carly Fiorina — who’s rising in the polls in Iowa — because of her looks. He wondered out loud — when surrounded by yes-men — how anyone could ever vote for her. “Just look at that face,” he said, adding that she’s a woman and he’s not supposed to talk about it, but “come on.” He later pretended he was talking about her “demeanor,” but no sane person accepts that explanation. No, Donald, you were criticizing yet another woman because you think she’s ugly. That’s all there is to it. And...

I get it. You want a person who values and cherishes the constitution with the same ferocity and protective instincts you carry.I get it. I understand the frustration and anxiety from years of watching our constitutional republic disregarded and torn to shreds through DC policy, judicial fiat and legislative usurpation.I get it. I understand the intense core belief that we are a constitutional republic and not a democracy. It should not be too much to ask for a valiant advocate to hear the calling and stand steadfast for the principles inherent within our nation. I really do understand, and...

Our governing system no longer serves its intended purpose, to secure the blessings of liberty. Any casual read of the Constitution reveals our government’s wholesale departure from it. Congress gaffs off or assigns its duties to craft legislation, determine spending, ratify treaties, oversee the executive branch, and regulate the judicial branch. Not being content with rewriting statutes, Scotus increasingly elevates itself above God; its Obergefell v. Hodges ruling is only the latest outrage among many. Executive branch agencies reflect the will of one man, Obama, and not congressional statutes. In response, there is a small but growing minority of Americans...
