OBAMA: In times of economic scarcity, ahm, generally, ahh, the politicians in this country, right now, ahh, want to look for scapegoats, want to organize around race, as opposed to around principle, and around values, ahh, and I think that's a mistake, and I think that can be countered, but it's gonna require the kinds of grassroots mobilization, ahh, and, and the kinds of work at a local level that I think, ahh, I talk about a lot in, in those chapters on Chicago. INTERVIEWER: Wonderful man there, Reverend Wright? OBAMA: Right! [ED: WRIGHT ?!?] And... INTERVIEWER: Yeah... OBAMA:...

Washington, DC -- Barack Obama is so out of step with mainstream America that he favors overturning a ban on partial-birth abortions that polls show more than 70 percent of Americans support. That's the message of a new Internet ad distributed by the Family Research Council.

Here is video of an emotionally overwhelmed Obama supporter following an Obama rally who says she knows she will not have to worry about paying her mortgage or car payment again once Obama is President - "If I help him, he'll help me." Hope. Change. . . . . . . (Watch Video)

Obama's misuse of tax exempt resources prompted IRS investigation of the United Church of Christ The United Church of Christ's Web site reports that Barack Obama's delivery of a campaign speech at its annual synod--a blatant misuse of the church's tax exempt resources--prompted the Internal Revenue Service to investigate the church. That is, Barack Hussein Obama's knowing, deliberate, premeditated, and willful misuse of his church's resources to support his Presidential campaign put the church's tax exemption at risk.Obama's General Synod speech prompts IRS to investigate UCC's tax-exempt status Written by J. Bennett Guess February 26, 2008 The Internal Revenue Service...

Telling a friend that the love of his life is a phony and dangerous is not likely to get him to change his mind. But it may cost you a friend. It is much the same story with true believers in Barack Obama. They have made up their minds and not only don't want to be confused by the facts, they resent being told the facts. An e-mail from a reader mentioned trying to tell his sister why he was voting against Obama but, when he tried to argue some facts, she cut him short: "You don't like him and...

If Joe the Plumber were Jawad the Suspected Terrorist, civil-liberties activists would stampede the halls of Congress on his behalf. Liberal columnists would hyperventilate over the outrageous invasions of his privacy by Ohio state and local employees. The ACLU would demand the Big Brother snoopers’ heads. And Democratic leaders would convene immediate hearings and parade him around the Beltway as the new poster boy/victim of unlawful domestic spying. But because peaceful American citizen Joe Wurzelbacher is an outspoken enemy of socialism, rather than an enemy of America, the defenders of privacy have responded to his plight with an impenetrable cone...

Palin told WMAL-AM that her criticism of Obama's associations, like those with 1960s radical Bill Ayers and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, should not be considered negative attacks. Rather, for reporters or columnists to suggest that it is going negative may constitute an attack that threatens a candidate's free speech rights under the Constitution, Palin said. "If [the media] convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations," Palin told host Chris Plante, "then I don't know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and...

The inauthentic man faces a difficult balancing act, for he is not only avoiding the truth, he has forgotten where he put the truth. Barack Obama has gifts, but also some significant flaws that should be considered as we head into the final days of this election. Calm or arrogant? He has mastered the appearance of calm, but in the final weeks of the campaign an edgy, even disdainful arrogance has crept into his tone. Consider the Nixonian response to Joe the plumber, unleashing the campaign, Democratic government and the media machine on a solitary citizen who asked a question...

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read " Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed. Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference--just imagine the coincidence. When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in...

"Since coming to Washington, I've believed that the right approach begins with the proposal put forward by Senator Lieberman and Senator McCain," Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., said at Committee On Environment and Public Works hearing on January 30, 2007, "a proposal they've been pushing for years, and I thank them again for their leadership on this issue. The Lieberman-McCain Bill establishes limits for greenhouse gas emissions well into the 21st century. To remain below these limits, the bill encourages the market to determine how best to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, rewarding cost effective approaches using a system of tradable allowances."...

Dear Newsmax Reader: Dick Morris was on Fox News' Hannity & Colmes tonight. Dick told Sean Hannity bluntly: we can win this and the group that can do it is the National Republican Trust PAC — also known as GOPtrust.com. You have been supporting this group, and today we broke our previous record in less than 24 hours — we now have surpassed $5 million! We here at the National Republican Trust are humbled by the incredible generosity the American people have shown us. We will not let you down. We are unafraid to tell the truth about Barack Obama....

Will the innovations never cease? Yesterday I described several, eh, unique capabilities pioneered by the Obama campaign in the area of campaign contributions. Among them, failure to do even basic credit-card validation; accepting untraceable prepaid credit cards; and sharing donor lists with suspect groups like ACORN. Heck, Barack's campaign wouldn't even share those lists with Hillary! Anyhow, an anonymous tipster mentioned that checking out the source code of the Obama donation website.

“Well I, I, I, I continue to, I continue to, uh, uh, support a ban on concealed carry laws.”I did not know that.Really, I didn’t know that Barack Obama wants to outlaw CCWs (concealed weapons permits). I thought that I’d followed this campaign closer than most, but this one got right by me. For the record, I myself hold a State of Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License, having subjected myself to a background check, paid the fee (and renewal fees) and demonstrated proficiency and responsibility with personal firearms. Hell, there was a time some years ago when I was...

This is really intended for Republicans who did not follow the primaries on the Democrats’ side this year (because, well, we guess you took a nice long Atlantis cruise to Mars, in which case, color us jealous). The same pattern that unfolded during our primaries is happening again, because the media has just one tattered old used playbook (written by David Axelrod, of course), and they have not deviated from it yet. What the media and Obama campaign did, in concert, to Hillary Clinton before every major primary is what they are doing to McCain/Palin now. Here are the top...

As the dynamic race between the McCain-Palin ticket and the Obama-Biden ticket hurtles toward Election Day, many respected private analysts have predicted that there is a very strong possibility that McCain-Palin will win an Electoral College victory despite the fact that Obama-Biden will win the popular vote nationwide. The Founders’ vision was of a body of electors that would protect the Republic from masters of the political arts who would not best serve the nation. If the Electoral College defeats the popular vote, then in this case, it is doing its job. In six weeks, America will elect a new...

NEWS Corporation chairman Rupert Murdoch has warned that Barack Obama could worsen the world financial crisis if he is elected US president next week and implements protectionist policies. In an interview with The Weekend Australian before delivering the first of six Boyer lectures on ABC radio tomorrow afternoon, Murdoch said the Democrats' policies would result in "a real setback for globalisation" if implemented. ...he did not know whether Senator Obama would implement all of the protectionist measures espoused by the party... With the US election five days away, Murdoch criticised Senator Obama's tax policies as "crazy", particularly his plan to...

Ohio Secretary of State Linked to ACORN, Project Vote The national development director for Project Vote, an affiliated organization of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, has been linked to embattled Ohio Secretary of State, Democrat Jennifer Brunner. Karyn Gillette of Project Vote was a campaign consultant for the Brunner campaign, according to information found in a post made by Rick Brunner on April 11, 2006 on the secretary of state’s own blog. “Our candidate had gone earlier in the day to have some meetings and work out of Karyn Gillette's office, but when your correspondent...

A look at all we expected to forget and all we expected to overlook this year. For 232 years character and integrity have played an integral role in presidential politics. For 232 years, Americans have elected Presidents not based upon the proposition that asks what your country can do for you, but rather the proposition that you "ask what you can do for your country". In this election we have been told over and over again that we should ignore and not ask any questions concerning ...

This is from my own research and I have not seen this printed anywhere before. The website of the Chicago Democratic Socialists of America has an archive of their newsletters. Their Newsletter "New Ground 69 March - April, 2000". In this newsletter they give their "Recommendations for the March Primary Election". My emphesis in Bold. For Congressman of the 1st Congressional District, the Executive Committee was faced with two very good candidates. As we are not making endorsements but merely recommendations, we felt no conflict in recommending both Bobby Rush and Barak Obama. Bobby Rush is the incumbent Congressman. He...

Obama’s Logan Act Violations: Kenya 06, World Tour 08! "ORACLE IN CHIEF"? Obama calls one of his top advisers, radical Marxist professor Dr. Cornel West, a "genius" and his "oracle." Look what West has to say about America! There's a summary and photo of them together here: http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1107/Obama_in_Harlem.htmlWest is a top advisor to Obama on race issues: he's a member, with Harvard professor Charles Ogletree, of Obama's "Black Advisory Council." While many political experts are busy with their Election Day predictions, there’s only one prediction I’m making: Whether enraged (If Obama loses) or gloating (if Obama wins), the Left will make reinstating the Fairness Doctrine a top-shelf priority in the next Congress. You remember the Fairness Doctrine: the policy that required broadcasters to present competing sides of controversial issues. It was resurrected recently by congressional Democrats after studies showed 90 percent of talk radio programming is conservative. Of course, there isn’t a city in America where one cannot access a liberal radio or TV station. And given its dominance of...

I know that many of you are sick and tired of all this political BS but if you read just one more thing between now and next month's election, I urge you to read the following editorial. I don't know who 'Michael Masters' is or what he does, but he does write cogently and well. Arizona Senator John McCain has pulled within approximately 4 points against his Democratic rival Senator Barack Obama in the latest national poll put forth by a Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby Poll on October 29, 2008. In short, the race is a statistical dead heat. However, what's very interesting to note about the polling data are numerous crucial points. First and foremost, McCain is slowly, but surely, chipping away at Obama's once commanding lead, as witnessed by recent polling data that started late last week. Thus, a trend is setting in on a national scale that is favoring the Arizona Senator. Moreover, the accuracy...

PIERRE, S.D. -- My son and I are on ground where one of my heroes -- the legendary Joe Foss, U.S. Marine, America's leading ace in aerial combat, Medal of Honor recipient, mentor and friend -- once stood beside me. We're hunting -- exercising our Second Amendment right "to keep and bear Arms." We will be back home in time to vote in hopes that this right of the people won't be infringed. But I wonder. Last week in Ohio, the Obama campaign suggested that Americans need a "second Bill of Rights." The idea -- not a new one for...

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama speaks at a rally in Lancaster, Pa., on Sept. 4. He strongly denied that he had any intention of taking away anyone's shotguns, rifles or handguns. (Associated Press) The nation's gun owners have the presidential election in their sights. Some are up at arms about the prospect of future gun legislation should Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama win the White House. Others are beefing up their personal arsenals, skittish that firearms could become scarce or too expensive in the near future. "If the economy is down, and gun sales are up, it shows...

There may actually be some good news in the well respected Pew Research Center’s report that regarding the current election, “liberal Democrats...[are] engaging in far more activism than other partisan and ideological groups.” However, I’ll let the good news wait for later. For now, let’s look at the findings, which are both troubling and confounding — unless you are a liberal, in which case you find them joyous, without caring a whit about reasons. With the most liberal candidate in history running on the Democratic ticket, you’d think the percentage of liberals and conservatives who have given “quite a lot”...

Rush asked yesterday on Greta Van Susteren's show on Fox, "How many young people even know what socialism is?" I am living in France with two other Americans, both of whom voted for Obama. The election has come up a few times, and also the subject of socialism. I said, "I'm not voting for Obama because I don't want to see my country become socialist." One of my American friends, 22 years old, said, "What's wrong with socialism? I don't think it's a bad idea." I was speechless for a second. But then those little warning bells that tell me,...

By now I'm sure you've probably heard the news. An effigy of Obama hanged was discovered and immediately removed by police at Northern Kentucky University. This is a big deal folks. Someone made fun of Obama and now all hell is breaking loose. You can't poke fun at The One without getting the police involved. And yes, I am choosing my words carefully. Because when an effigy of Sarah Palin hanging from...

WAYNE COUNTY - The individual right to keep and bear arms, and whether that right deserves restrictions, has caught John McCain and Barack Obama paradoxically fighting for gun control laws in the past. Today, they are cheerleaders of the Second Amendment, according to public statements. Wayne County gun owners and the national gun lobbies, however, have mixed feelings - and some fears - on the day when either the Democrat or the Republican takes the White House. Will they take my guns, some of my guns, or no guns? Peter Snyder, a life-long Republican and hunter from Lake Ariel, does...

America waits with bated breath while Washington struggles to bring the U.S. economy back from the brink of disaster. But many of those same politicians caused the crisis, and if left to their own devices will do so again. Despite the mass media news blackout, a series of books, talk radio and the blogosphere have managed to expose Barack Obama's connections to his radical mentors -- Weather Underground bombers William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis and others. David Horowitz and his Discover the Networks.org have also contributed a wealth of information and have noted Obama's...

Warrenton gun shop owner Steve Clark said buyers fear restrictions on weapons that have been restricted before. (By John Mcdonnell -- The Washington Post) Buy Photo Americans have cut back on buying cars, furniture and clothes in a tough economy, but there's one consumer item that's still enjoying healthy sales: guns. Purchases of firearms and ammunition have risen 8 to 10 percent this year, according to state and federal data. Several variables drive sales, but many dealers, buyers and experts attribute the increase in part to concerns about the economy and fears that if Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois wins...

A Newsmax investigation of Obama/Biden campaign contributors, undertaken in conjunction with a private investigative firm headed by a former CIA operations officer, has identified 118 donors who appear to lack U.S. citizenship. Some of these “red flag” donors work for foreign governments; others have made public statements declaring that they are citizens of Cameroun, Nigeria, Pakistan, Canada, and other countries. A Newsmax sampling of about 3,400 donors also found hundreds more who showed “yellow flags” such as not having used a Social Security number or a known U.S. address. Most U.S.-born citizens are issued Social Security numbers at birth or...

With only days before the most crucial election in American history, all indicators lean toward a massive democrat victory on November 4th. Not only will the United States most likely elect the first African-American to our nation’s highest office; we will also elect a radical socialist to the presidency. A man who despises our nation as it is and will seek to reform and alter the very fabric of our Republic. If the democrats manage to obtain an overwhelming majority in both houses of congress, and fill the White House with Obama and Biden, our nation will rapidly begin a...

Chicago based political consultant, David Axelrod is chief strategist and media adviser for Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign. He has known Obama since 1992 and helped Obama win his 2004 Senate race. He is the ideas man of the campaign-the man behind Obama. Axelrod reportedly told the Washington Post; "I thought that if I could help Barack Obama get to Washington, then I would have accomplished something great in my life." The obvious question here is-great by what standard? Many key figures in Obama's political life come from the far left. Does David Axelrod comform to this pattern? Axelrod was...

Last night’s well-edited, technically proficient, dreary prime-time Barack Obama infomercial probably could be expanded into a five disc DVD set, complete with bonus interviews featuring more downtrodden Americans, detailed liner notes, transcripts of old law lectures, his personal revisions to the Constitution, and “never-before” seen footage of Mr. Obama healing the sick, raising the dead, feeding the hungry and personally redistributing wealth door-to-door. “Self indulgent” is far too mild a phrase to describe Obama’s thirty minute excursion into his super-ego – as I continue to hear Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain” playing in my head – so I’ll just say...

The agency also checked Wurzelbacher in its computer systems to determine whether he was receiving welfare assistance or owed unemployment compensation taxes, she wrote.
