  • Mark Levin: Thank you, Steve Lonegan

    06/04/2014 11:50:57 AM PDT · by conservative98 · 46 replies
    Notes by Mark Levin ^ | June 4, 2014 | Mark Levin
Steve Lonegan is a wonderful family man and patriot. He would have been a superb member of the House. But the DC RINOs, led by John Boehner, were opposed to him. You see, he would have been an independent conservative and they cannot stand that in the Capitol Building. So, the RINOs put up a candidate against Lonegan who they can control, and will control, and who loaned his campaign millions to use in an endless series of attack ads. This is the new modus operandi of the RINOs in all the races across the country. During the course of...

While examples of the old media using their power to push for ever more restrictive gun laws are so common as to be the norm, this segment by CBS is a particularly clear example: Newtown families have high hopes for N.J. gun ammo bill Exactly one family was said to be present lobbying for the bill; the father cites a theory with little to no evidence to support its premise.  An emotional father who lost a son is pushing for more gun restrictions that are virtually irrelevant to mass shootings;  the mass shootings are a tiny segment of homicides...
  • Chamber Splits GOP Primary in New Jersey

The Daily Caller ^ | Neil Munro
Steve Lonegan, a libertarian-leaning former mayor, is running slightly behind self-funded insurance executive Tom MacArthur in a sharp-elbowed New Jersey GOP primary race for a House seat. The two candidates clashed repeatedly during a May 21 radio show, when MacArthur portrayed Lonegan as a big spender, and Lonegan portrayed MacArthur as a crony capitalist tool of the Chamber of Commerce. Lonegan said that MacArthur won the chamber’s support by agreeing to back the “comprehensive immigration reform” plan, which would increase levels of immigration. “You have to answer ‘yes’ to that question to get that endorsement,” Lonegan said.

NORTHEAST and SOUTH There are numerous important House Primary Races! And places where we can WIN! PLEASE contribute! And if you can't contribute money ... the least we can do is go to their pages and give them a "like" or a tweet. All of these candidates are involved in primaries that are close (or could be close) against generally more moderate or liberal Republicans. All of these districts are winnable in November. • Common Hunting Rifles to be Banned by New Jersey Law

The gun ban that has gone to Governor Christie for signature has been described as a "gun magazine restriction",  but it bans numerous common sport and hunting rifles.   The ban has no exemption for rifles with fixed magazines, including most common .22 rimfire rifles that are used for sport and small game hunting, and almost never used in crime.  Assembly Bill 2006 bans rifles that meet this definition: (4)   A semi-automatic rifle with a fixed magazine capacity exceeding [15] 10 rounds. The bracket and underline show the existing and proposed law.  There are no exemptions for grandfathering.   Anyone...

New Jersey --(Ammoland.com)- As you may already know, the New Jersey Second Amendment Society (NJ2AS) is engaged in litigation against the State of New Jersey Division of State Police in an effort to receive a copy of the “New Jersey State Police Firearms Applicant Investigation Guide” (I know, try saying THAT three times fast). Three years ago we began a quest to obtain a copy. It started out simply enough. We wrote to the then head of the NJSP Firearms Unit and asked for a copy. We were denied. For those of you who may be scratching your head and asking,...

A Washington, D.C.-based secular organization has filed a lawsuit against the words "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. The American Humanist Association announced Monday that a New Jersey school district will be the latest entity sued over the two words. David Niose, attorney for the American Humanist Association's Appignani Humanist Legal Center, said in a statement that he believes the pledge's words are religiously coercive. "Public schools should not engage in an exercise that tells students that patriotism is tied to a belief in God," said Niose. "Such a daily exercise portrays atheist and humanist children as second-class citizens,...

We are all miserably accustomed to being informed that our rights must be curtailed because the Founders “couldn’t have imagined” the way in which they would eventually be exercised. “Well, sure it made sense to have an armed population back when the people only had muskets,” this argument tends to go. “But now that four-year-old children can buy semi-automatic nuclear death-rays with their Happy Meals, it’s just anachronistic.”

An Ocean County resident's 3-year-old pet bobcat has been missing since March 25, leaving neighbors on edge. Virginia Fine told NBC 10 Philadelphia her "sweet" and "super affectionate" 38-pound domesticated bobcat, Rocky, escaped through her home’s back door while playing with her dog. Rocky is up-to-date on all his shots and declawed, she told the news station. She also said he "has no aggression at all." But residents who live near her home in Stafford Township are still on edge.

  • New Sheriff in Town: Rich Pezzullo for Senate in New Jersey

My friend and long-time business associate Rich Pezzullo is running for the GOP nomination for the US Senate from New Jersey. He is a conservative, constitutionalist republican, in line with Tea Party ideals, and will continue to hammer home the same message started by Steve Lonegan in last year's special election. It is VERY important to highlight our candidates, even (and perhaps ESPECIALLY) in deep blue states. Even if their position may be relatively unpopular, they chip away at the leviathan. Steve Lonegan had started the game in the special election last year, and Rich is the best person to...

I will not be giving up my sport.” She said many of the firearms she hopes to use in the next level of her...

A New Jersey cheerleader who sued her parents for child support after she moved out was today pictured leaving her family's home with her mother after returning to the house this week. In an apparent sign that the family were attempting to return to normality after their embarrassment, Rachel Canning, 18, climbed into her car to head to school on Thursday while her mother Elizabeth climbed into a separate vehicle. They were followed by her father Sean and a younger sibling. Rachel returned to the Morris County home with her tail between her legs on Tuesday night after a judge...

An 18-year-old New Jersey honor student and cheerleader has been tossed from her parents’ Lincoln Park home, but demands that her mother and father continue to pay her private high school and impending college costs — as well as her mounting lawyer fees, according to her lawsuit. Rachel Canning claims she’s been out of her parents’ home since her 18th birthday, Nov. 1, after her parents vowed to cut her off “from all support both financially and emotionally.” But Sean and Elizabeth Canning say their “spoiled” college-bound daughter doesn’t live by their house rules and left the home because she...

(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis has approved the attribution a miraculous healing to the intercession of a young American nun, opening the way to her beatification. Born and raised in New Jersey, Miriam Teresa Demjanovich (1901-1927) entered the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth in 1926 and died one year later, taking her religious vows one month before her death. The miracle that opens the way for the beatification of Miriam Teresa Demjanovich involves the restoration of perfect vision to a boy who had gone legally blind because of macular degeneration. Investigative Reporter Sarah Wallace obtained the dashcam tapes, and has spoken exclusively with the 30-year old DJ who was looking at years in prison. It was quite a turnabout, all the criminal charges against Marcus Jeter have been dismissed, and two Bloomfield police officers have been indicted for falsifying reports, and one of them, for assault. While the media has made much about the so-called “Bridge-gate” in New Jersey, it would appear that the Department of Homeland Security has held up a desperately-needed salt shipment as punishment to embattled governor Chris Christie. Christie issued an executive order to alleviate the salt crisis on February 12, 2014. State officials requested a waiver to the Jones Act to allow a freighter with 40,000 tons of salt to disembark in New Jersey. By February 12th and 13th, they were denied. According to the Governor’s order: I authorize and empower the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation to take all...
