Democratic Nebraska Senate candidate Dave Domina is out with a new political ad that features a bedridden coma patient decked out in one of the campaign’s T-shirts. The ad had raised questions about the ethics of using a coma patient to give the politician a boost in the polls. It happened in Omaha, Nebraska early on Tuesday morning.  Barb Haley was home alone, with her dog, Dozer.   Her husband was traveling for work.   She awoke to go to the restroom when Dozer ran out of the bedroom, barking.    Barb found the garage door open and drawers that appeared as if someone had rifled through them.   When she heard a crash, she retrieved her husband's pistol from the nightstand. University of Nebraska Medical Center Chancellor Jeffrey Gold said during a Thursday press conference that the Nebraska Medical will treat a patient with Ebola virus. The patient is Dr. Rick Sacra, a missionary who was serving in Liberia, according to SIM, a North Carolina-based charity. He is expected to arrive Friday morning at the med center's Nebraska Biocontainment Patient Care Unit, Gold said. Bryce Dion, a 38-year-old crew member for the series Cops was shot and killed by police in Omaha Tuesday night during the filming of an episode. A 32-year-old robbery suspect was also killed in the incident. Dion was accompanying police responding to an armed robbery at a Wendy’s restaurant. Twelve states filed a lawsuit against the Obama administration on Friday seeking to block an Environmental Protection Agency proposal to regulate coal-fired power plants in an effort to stem climate change. The plaintiffs are led by West Virginia and include states that are home to some of the largest producers of coal and consumers of coal-fired electricity.
