Democrats must drop efforts to censure a GOP representative who shouted "You lie" during President Obama's speech, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday. Democratic leaders Thursday were looking into what formal action the House could take against Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., whose outburst during Obama's address on healthcare reform to a joint session of Congress the night before, shocked the chamber, The Hill reported. "It's time for us to talk about healthcare, not Joe Wilson," said Pelosi, D-Calif. One option Democrats considered was censure. Pelosi nixed censure, as well as a call for Wilson to apologize on the floor. "I'm...

I have to admit that I'm curious to hear Barack Obama's plea for health care reform to both houses of the Congress tonight, though I really don't think we're going to hear much of anything new. Rather, I think he's going to try to present the same old soup that's just been heated up in a different bowl when it comes to his views on what he terms health insurance reform but which most Americans who have even a passing interest in the subject really know is an attempt to sneak through a nationalized health system similar to what the...

While White House spokesman Robert Gibbs today refrained from telling reporters whether President Obama in his speech Wednesday night will set a deadline for passing health care reform, sources tell ABC News that in his private meeting with Democratic congressional leaders this afternoon the key word was urgency. The president told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., that it is important for them to pass health care reform bills soon, the sources said. Both leaders told the president that despite the difficult rough and tumble of the legislative process in the last few weeks,...

Remember when Nancy Pelosi made that famous promise? "This will be the most ethical congress ever." Despite all the evidence that Rangel should be taking a "perp walk" rather than the position of Chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee. Pelosi says she is waiting for the House Ethics Committee to complete its wide-ranging investigation before she makes a decision about Rangel..Why is Pelosi supporting Charlie Rangel and ignoring the volume of evidence against him? Its not because of any long standing friendship of loyalty, its because she needs to protect her own political butt:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: "There's no way I can pass a bill in the House of Representatives without a public option."

Here is video of Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi today, meeting with liberal clergy from various faiths in San Francisco, where they talked about getting Government Health Care passed. In a news conference following the meeting, Pelosi said flatly "There's no way I can pass a bill in the House of Representatives without a public option." She also said Obama is not "back-peddling" on his support of a "Public Option." . . . . (Watch Video)

Here is video of the "Political Grapevine" in which one of the stories was about the House of Representatives restoring patriotic music to their telephone waiting system. The music had been changed to a "smooth jazz" by the House Chief Administrative Officer, who reports to Nancy Pelosi. But they got so much negative feedback, they abruptly restored the patriotic music. The part about this story starts at 56 seconds left (if you want to skip the other). (Watch Video)

I have reached the very same boiling point that most conservatives around me have reached. The nazis were not fond of individual rights, small limited/representative government, or life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Take a look at the National socialist party platform, 1920 and you will see the obvious. Many of you will be incapable of doing the following: blind yourself all references to 'the jews' as you read this and it indeed does look very similar to what we see from one of america's prominent ideologies today. It doesn't sound like conservatives. How many times do you see...

Health Insurance: Driven by focus groups, the administration and Congress rail against insurance companies to get ObamaCare passed. So why have they been protecting the insurance companies from real competition? In a recent stop in North Carolina, President Obama told the crowd that our existing health care system "works well for the insurance industry, but it doesn't always work well for you." This shift from discussing what's in his plan to fighting the insurance bogeyman is no accident. In June, Joel Benenson, the president's chief pollster, told the Economic Club of Canada, where health care is a public scandal, that the...

She was baptized Nancy D'Alesandro in 1940. Who would have guessed that a beautiful ( before plastic surgery) little Italian girl from Baltimore, who had First Communion in 1947 and would later be a Confirmed Catholic - Defender Of The Faith - in 1951 would become the most powerful congressional Democrat and potentially two heartbeats away from being President Of The United States? Nancy Pelosi is California's 8th District Representative, and this modern Joan Of Arc has staunchly defended the downtrodden from the man-boy lovers of NAMBLA to the partial birth aborters to homosexuals desiring to sanctify their sodomy through...

Cap-And-Trade: The administration likes to defend bad policies with analogies to the post office. New studies from a business group and the administration itself confirm that cap-and-trade belongs in the dead-letter bin.Along with Energy Secretary Steven Chu, Rep. Ed Markey likens the cost of the Waxman-Markey cap-and trade bill to "about a postage stamp a day," based on estimates made by the Congressional Budget Office and the EPA. But as we and others have shown, they arrive at this magical number in part by ignoring the hit on gross domestic product and employment that will occur. As Garret Vaughan, economist...

Some comments were made by Barack Obama, and some were made by Nancy Pelosi. Can you tell which is which? “You can still keep your doctor; you can still keep your health plan” “I will only use public financing of my presidential campaign.” “National healthcare will save money.” “This stimulus program will create new jobs and save existing jobs.” “This will be the most transparent administration ever, and we will post new legislation for at least three days before enactment.” “If you are old and need a hip replacement, just take a pain pill.” Any white cop who arrests a...

I see that the mainstream media is in full "support the Democratic Party and all it stands for" mode lately, with USA Today publishing an opinion/editorial piece by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer that basically accuses anybody who demonstrates againsts health care...I mean, health insurance reform of being "un-American." More precisely, what the ultra-liberal San Francisco Democrat said (with Renfield-like assistant Steny Hoyer by her side, leering menacingly) was that "Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American...'' Excuse me, but maybe things wouldn't be coming apart at the seams if even one single member of...

Security Breaches: Scooter Libby went to prison for the "outing" of a desk-jockey CIA agent. He forgot conversations. Pelosi forgets briefings. And the outing of our entire intelligence apparatus by Democrats is OK. Remember the thrilling days of yesteryear and the alleged outing of the already known CIA officer Valerie Plame? We were told then that the Vanity Fair cover girl's 15 minutes of fame jeopardized our national security even if everybody already knew who she was. "Scooter" Libby went to prison because his memory of events and who said what to whom regarding Plame differed from the recollections of...

IBD Exclusive Series: Government-Run Healthcare: A Prescription For Failure Discourse: At a town hall last week in Dallas, an elderly "mob" with "manufactured" outrage questioned AARP's support for nationalized health care, asking: "Do you work for us or do we work for you?"There were no swastika-wearing grannies at Tuesday's meeting, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi might claim. Nor were they "taking their cues from talk show hosts, Internet rumor-mongers . . . and insurance rackets," as Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has said. But they were mad as hell at the perception that AARP was selling them out in the...

But not to fear, Nancy! I think I’ve found your swastika pictures! Oh wait, these aren’t ObamaCare protesters. They’re left-wingers protesting against George W. Maybe it’s these photos Nancy’s referring to: Oh wait, these aren’t ObamaCare protesters. They’re left-wingers protesting against the war in Iraq on September 24, 2005 in San Francisco. Denver Post: Pelosi's visit to the clinic — to see and tout the impact of stimulus funds — came at a time when the national debate over health care has escalated into a figurative shouting match. The shouting match became a literal reality outside the clinic Thursday, as people skeptical of more government involvement in health care traded chants and slogans with others who support sweeping reforms. When one person in the crowd shouted, "Health care can't wait," a rival responded, "We have health care now." A woman walked among the demonstrators singing "God Bless America" in a warbling voice.

The first ammendment gives each of us the right to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. The townhall meetings are a perfect place for such redress. In a concerted effort the Democrats, lead by Speaker Pelosi, are trying to intimidate any dissenters by painting them as mobs, paid schills and her latest as Nazis. I'm not a Lawyer so I don't know if this a technical violation but it certainly violates the spirit of the first ammendment.

Yesterday, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) made an accusation that town hall protesters are bringing swastikas to the political forums. However, the Speaker of the House did not give any evidence that town hall attendees are indeed doing this. Most Americans don't necessarily want to ally themselves with crazy people screaming and chasing down representatives of Congress. There's already reports that some people in the crowds are wearing things like Nazi swastikas. If Obama and the Democrats are able to portray these people as their opponents, it may end up hurting the Republicans by association.

The VIDEO of Nancy Pelosi making the charge that the town hall protesters were "carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare," has gone viral on the Web. However, what you probably don't know is where Pelosi picked up that charge. It was the same place where many Democrats and their MSM picked up the absurd charge that the protesters were paid agitators. And that source was none other than this Daily Kos THREAD that was featured in a DUmmie FUnnies EDITION that I posted on Monday. Here is the specific Kossack Swastika CHARGE: Most Americans...

We see today that all of the organs of an incumbent government are being deployed in an attempt to distort or discredit the message implicit in the grassroots protests that seem to be occurring with increasing frequency at more and more town halls — held by members of Congress — across the country. Democrat or Republican, it’s obvious that people have questions about President Barack Obama’s plans for their health care. …It's also clear what weapons the supporters of ObamaCare intend to use against those who question the efficacy or moral rightness of a program that promises a vast intrusion...

It’s good to see that Nancy Pelosi is out and about in her district so soon after leaving on a jet plane (don’t know when she’ll be back again) for more welcoming climes in the “City By The Bay.” Sadly, she can’t seem to accept that the majority of Americans outside of ‘Frisco hold the same opinion of her that most do for a really pushy panhandler, reeking of “Two-Buck Chuck” (a very popular wine in California, I’m told) and with a demanding grimace on his face to go along with his open palm. …But let’s leave the matter of...

In probably the most ham-handed move yet from Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who’s desperate to drag the carcass of health care reform across the finish line come September, the San Francisco legislator and doyen of the entitlement mentality-afflicted masses screeched at the private health insurance companies this last week, describing them as “immoral and villainous” cads who’d, to steal a line from Mr. Alice Cooper, “feed a candy cane to a diabetic” if they could get away with it. Just kidding about the candy cane thing. She actually called them grave robbing Visigoths and Huns, out to...

The Hill: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) isn't much for calling names, but defended calling health insurers "villains" this past week. Pelosi doesn't gaurantee Blue Dog provisions By Mike Soraghan Posted: 07/31/09 06:35 PM [ET] Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) indicated Friday that some of the most hard-fought provisions of the healthcare bill, including parts meant to appease conservative Democrats, could change by the time the final measure reaches the House floor. Pelosi's remarks came as the House Energy and Commerce Committee hammed out the final details of the bill, including a deal with Blue Dog Democrats and a tax to pay for the legislation. Three committees have worked intensively on the bill, and assuming passage by the Energy and Commerce Committee...

Congress: In exchange for a vague promise of cuts in the cost of health care "reform," a few fiscally conservative Democrats agree to release the bill to a September floor vote. Have the pit bulls become Chihuahuas?Apparently even a Blue Dog Democrat will stop growling if you toss him a big enough bone. Four of the seven who helped keep the House bill bottled up in the Energy and Commerce Committee — Mike Ross of Arkansas, Baron Hill of Indiana, Zack Space of Ohio and Bart Gordon of Tennessee — agreed to vote the bill out of committee in exchange...

Here is video of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi yesterday seeking to make insurance companies the bogeyman for the failure thus far of Democrats to pass their Government Health Care Plan. Pelosi says Insurance Companies are out there "carpet-bombing" the public option. At this point, Democrats led by Pelosi are in denial about the fact that Americans are against turning their health care over to a massive Government bureaucracy. Leadership: Speaker Nancy Pelosi claims she has no use for polls. For her, that's a good thing, because polls now show that voters despise her. Last week, a Public Strategies/Politico poll showed she is now trusted by fewer than one out of four voters. Pelosi unpopular? 'I don't care' By: Glenn Thrush July 27, 2009 05:08 AM EST House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is one of the most despised political figures in the country. And, frankly, she doesn’t give a damn. “No, I don’t care,” Pelosi told POLITICO last Thursday, laughing heartily as she walked beneath the Capitol dome and plunged into a crowd of tourists. WASHINGTON, DC – After shutting down a resolution to honor Michael Jackson this week, Nancy Pelosi was voted House Party Pooper. Pelosi put an end to a possible resolution that would have paid tribute to the recently deceased musician this week. The House then passed a nearly unanimous vote naming Pelosi the House Party Pooper. The Party Pooper Resolution is merely the culmination of a long string of events in Congress.
