A prisoner abducted and killed an assistant warden's teenage stepdaughter after he escaped from a Louisiana prison, authorities said Friday. The inmate was later found dead after a standoff with police. Deltra Henderson, 39, walked away from his prison assignment at David Wade Correctional Center on Thursday afternoon, stole a car and kidnapped Amanda Carney, the Claiborne Parish Sheriff's Office said in a statement. The 18-year-old's body was found in a wooded area near the prison where Henderson crashed the car.

Little Rock police have identified the victim in Friday's homicide as 31-year-old Carlo Marigliano. According to the victim's family, Marigliano, was visiting Little Rock from Italy and spoke limited English and was traveling with an Italian tour group when he decided to break away and explore the city alone. The victim’s family tells KATV they are flying in from Italy and the Italian Consulate is getting involved in the investigation. Little Rock police are not releasing any suspect information.

Before Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor shot Justine Ruszczyk through the open driver's side window of his squad, a woman had approached the back of the patrol car and "slapped" it, according to a court document filed Monday. CARLISLE, Ohio – An 18-year-old Ohio cheerleader has been charged with killing and burying her newborn baby. The Dayton Daily News reported that Brooke Skylar Richardson faces charges of reckless homicide in connection to the incident. A woman has been found guilty of shooting her husband to death in a murder case witnessed by a parrot. Glenna Duram, 49, shot her husband Martin five times in front of their pet in 2015, before failing in a suicide attempt. The parrot, an African Grey named Bud, is alleged to have later repeated the words “Don’t shoot!” in the victim’s voice. Duram, of Sand Lake, Michigan, was found guilty of first-degree murder by a jury. She will be sentenced next month. The parrot was not involved in any court proceedings.

MANSFIELD, Ohio - A Texas woman who was reported missing Friday was found dead in her husband’s trunk over 1,000 miles away in Mansfield, Ohio. According to WFAA, Tamara Harris, 33, was found dead in the trunk of car belonging to her husband, 35-year-old Dequalan Harris. A lawyer for Cosmo DiNardo, the man linked to the search for four missing men in Pennsylvania, said Thursday that his client had admitted to killing them and had told authorities where to find the bodies. The attorney, Paul Lang, said his DiNardo, 20, confessed to "the four murders" and was prepared to plead guilty to four counts of first-degree murder.
