There's a good chance that some link to a motive can be found for every murder. Hillary Clinton and Co. said that a video was responsible for Benghazi. Satirical cartoons were responsible for the Charlie Hebdo terrorist acts. Where did Robert Lewis Dear hear about the "baby parts" if (1) he lived off the grid with no electricity and (2) since very few news outlets reported on the Planned Parenthood videos? "Craig Stephens Hicks, an atheist who killed three Muslims in North Carolina in February, was supposedly a big fan of Rachel Maddow and Bill Nye the Science Guy. It...

Dear (Elmhurst College) President Braskamp: I am sorry to have to write to you at such a busy time of year. However, it has become necessary to contact you in light of a series of disturbing and unwanted communications I have received from a member of your faculty. These unwanted communications, which are being sent to my work email address, are coming from the work email address of Professor Richard Greenleaf. These communications are particularly troubling given Richard Greenleaf's past employment as a law enforcement officer and his present employment as a criminal justice professor. Below is Greenleaf's latest email...

The Radiance Foundation condemns the horrific violence that happened this past weekend, and nearly every day, inside a Colorado Planned Parenthood. The daily destruction of human life for profit is inexcusable. Our hearts go out to mothers deceived into thinking violence is the answer to life that is unplanned. We also condemn the acts of an apparently deluded individual who terrorized and killed officers and civilians outside of the abortion mill. Our hearts go out to the families whose loved ones were ripped away by someone who thought violence was the answer to his confused life. Robert Dear is a...

Well, that didn't take long. Within hours of the Colorado shootings, abortion-choice advocates were placing blame squarely on the shoulders of pro-lifers. Apparently, we're guilty of "violent" rhetoric; that is, claiming that abortion intentionally kills an innocent human being and that rhetoric is fueling acts of terror against abortion providers. "Do we really think that there are no consequences to claiming that abortion is murder," writes Jessica Valentiin The Guardian. "Can we stop pretending that pro-life lies don't have an effect. We know why this [attack] happened. Clinic workers who put their lives on the line every day know why...

As of November 23, there had been 2703 shootings which resulted in 440 deaths year-to date in heavily gun-controlled Chicago. If this planet exploded tomorrow I wouldn’t shed a tear. Environmentalists say evil mankind is destroying a beautiful God-given place. Really? Mudslides, earthquakes and twisters kill millions (thousands) of people every year. Innocent planet? I judge by deeds not words. Yes, pollutants kill. But so do rockslides. If you talk to the average resident of a natural disaster location, they will be glad to tell you the planet has done as much evil as the average multinational in terms of lives taken in their local community.

These entries ranged from world problems (like war, terrorism, nuclear attacks) to practical fears (murder, death, unemployment) to uncommon phobias (zombies, clowns, ghosts). ... Also on the list was global warming, which leading Democratic candidates have said is the biggest threat facing Americans today. But the American Fears survey revealed a much different opinion on the topic, with only 30.7% of respondents saying that global warming made them either afraid or very afraid. Global warming did not even make the top twenty. Here are some things Americans are...
