President Barack Obama’s past continues to haunt him. A friend e-mailed me this revealing post by Bishop E.W. Jackson Sr., pastor of The Exodus Faith Ministries in Chesapeake, Virginia. Bishop Jackson wrote it last June, but I have not seen it circulated or mentioned before now. Now, someone found it and put it on their own blog. Like so many of us, Bishop Jackson describes himself as once a leftist Democrat; an African-American who grew up in a black urban community in Pennsylvania, and a man who is disturbed about what he calls “a strain of anti-Semitism in the black...

Last year around this time, the left was predicting an omnipotent presidency that would usher in a new way of "being" on the planet. It has turned out to be a wilting and amateurish one, full of commonplace follies and tired initiatives. The party-crasher story is emblematic of Obama's already diminished presidency. The most recent report about the party crashers adds a new layer to the farce: the party crashers can actually claim plausible and encouraging interactions with a "Pentagon official." ABC casts the story in terms favorable to the White House: "E-Mails Show Salahis Never Got White House State...

Senior Official: More Hasan Ties to People Under Investigation by FBI Alleged Shooter Had "Unexplained Connections" to Others Besides Jihadist Cleric Awlaki By MARTHA RADDATZ, BRIAN ROSS, MARY-ROSE ABRAHAM, and REHAB EL-BURI Nov. 10, 2009 A senior government official tells ABC News that investigators have found that alleged Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan had "more unexplained connections to people being tracked by the FBI" than just radical cleric Anwar al Awlaki. The official declined to name the individuals but Congressional sources said their names and countries of origin were likely to emerge soon. Nidal Malik Hasan, left, is seen...

The mystery of the Mountain Meadows skull has apparently been solved. The skull, which had been found in a box marked “Mountain Meadows” in an Idaho pawn shop in February, had what was thought to be a bullet hole in it. There was speculation that the skull was that of a victim of the Mountain Meadows massacre, a September 1857 event in which about 120 men, women and children, mostly emigrants from Arkansas, were killed in Utah. According to Phil Bolinger and Jake Fancher, it has been determined that the skull is that of a Vietnamese female. Bolinger and Fancher...

Jabir Herbert Muhammad — son of Nation of Islam founder Elijah Muhammad and former manager of boxing great Muhammad Ali — died Monday afternoon at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center.Mr. Muhammad, 79, had undergone open-heart surgery last week, said Joseph Morris, a Muhammad family attorney. Mr. Muhammad had been in the news last year because of a lawsuit he filed against convicted political fund-raiser Tony Rezko to stay in his South Side mansion, a home built by the late Elijah Muhammad. In an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times last year, Mr. Muhammad said Rezko had “embezzled” him out...

Nation Of Islam's Lois Farrakhan on the radio [WPAT AM] August 17 2008 [around 5:39 PM]: "If Obama loses fair and square OK, but if not... there will be some consequences..." 1) Will Farrakhan ever say that it was fair and square? 2) What does he mean by consequences, Is he calling for a violent bloody riot (again)? While his past/present hatred is really troubling, even though he became more sophisticated in his language, yet, I am glad that through his tremendous efforts to hide his venom he is still so transparent when he always talks about "them" &...

In a rare public appearance, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan urged black Americans on Tuesday night to separate from mainstream culture to establish and support their own community. Nearly eight months after delivering what was thought to be his farewell speech, a smiling Farrakhan strode onstage at the Atlanta Civic Center to an applauding and cheering audience of nearly 5,000. He warned the crowd not to be distracted by the successes of recent decades. "We have to come out of the thinking of a slave and come into the thinking and acting of free men and women," Farrakhan said....

WASHINGTON -- The film features grainy footage and dramatic music, presenting itself as a stark look at the way fundamentalist Muslims in America and Europe crush dissent by their more moderate co-religionists. But the very production of "Islam vs. Islamists: Voices From the Muslim Center" has highlighted sharply different views about the state of Islam in the United States and showcased how intensely sensitive that subject remains. PBS, which commissioned the project, is delaying airing the film after protests that it is anti-Muslim. Now its creators are launching a public campaign against PBS to get it shown. Tuesday the Russians could watch justice at work: Sergey Mavrodi, founding father of the biggest economic “bubble” MMM in the modern history of Russia had to face the sentence. 16 June, 1993 Sergey Mavrodi founded a so-called commercial company MMM, which turned out to become an extraordinary huge financial pyramid. According to the case papers, Mavrodi under the name of MMM issued 991 thousand shares with face-value of 1000 rubles, but the real amount of shares sold to the population was three of four times bigger. A great role in this story played Russian mass media: MMM produced several TV...

Nation of Islam - An Empty Legacy  By Adrian Morgan   Part Four of Four  Louis Farrakhan has made no public comments about who will succeed him as head of the Nation of Islam. His tenure as leader of the group has been marked by injudicious comments and actions. He reinstated the Fruit of Islam, the bow-tie wearing "soldiers" of NoI. The Fruit of Islam were initially charged to act as security during Jesse Jackson's 1984 presidential campaign. Farrakhan warned the Democratic Party that if Jesse Jackson's demands were not listened to, he would "lead an army of black men...

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov 7 (Reuters) - Voters elected a black Democrat as the first Muslim in Congress on Tuesday after a race in which he advocated quick U.S. withdrawal from Iraq and made little mention of his faith. Keith Ellison, a 43-year-old lawyer and state representative, defeated two rivals, television networks said, to succeed retiring Democrat Martin Sabo in a seat that has been held by Democrats since 1963. Ellison, who converted to Islam as a 19-year-old college student in his native Detroit, won with the help of Muslims among a coalition of liberal, anti-war voters. He advocates an immediate U.S....

Norfolk-based sailor uses Web to channel opposition to war By LOUIS HANSEN, The Virginian-Pilot © November 5, 2006 NORFOLK - Jonathan Hutto graduated from Howard University with a degree in political science and a résumé of social activism. He worked for the American Civil Liberties Union and Amnesty International after college. He whipped up grass-roots protests against police departments and college administrators. One day in 2003, broke and seeking direction, Hutto enlisted in the Navy. The Navy couldn't have known it then, but they know it now: They had signed up a sailor strongly opposed to the Iraq war. Seething at what they consider racist slurs against African-Americans displaced by Hurricane Katrina, activists here Friday took verbal aim at gubernatorial candidate Kinky Friedman and west Houston residents who last week urged city officials to send evacuees back home. "The nerve of the white man to talk about shipping anyone anywhere," Houston activist Quanell X told a small group of reporters and the public Friday at a Texas Southern University news conference. "This is disgraceful." His comments came as local and New Orleans activists gathered in Houston to craft a response to the comments, which they said smeared the estimated...

Fellow Americans, there comes a time every mans life when we must give up ourselves before we are worthy to recieve. There comes a time in this war on terror when in order to protect liberty, we have to give it up in the mean time for safty. That's right folks. Today, Americans have forsaken the creator for the creation and have decided that they would value our "civil liberties" than protecting western civilization and rich white people from the tender mercies of radical Islamic terrorists. Selfish liberals insist and whine that Bush has no right to spy on Americans...

LET FREEDOM RING!

Bush’s giant Right Wing Noise Machine (RWNM) loves to preach about the Bush economic miracle. In fact, the RWNM’s current thinking is Bush doesn’t spend enough time talking about his economic triumphs. If only he did, then everyone would fall in line and believe in the great Bush economic miracle. There is one problem with this argument: it’s a lie. Any way you look at the Bush economy, it comes up short. Today, I want to compare Bush’s job creation record with other economic recoveries. As usual, Bush comes up way short. The national Bureau of Economic Research has identified...

After reading all of the crap that people have been saying regarding Adult Private Social Clubs, I felt that I had to post an article and give my opinion. I am sick and tired of all the religous groups that are saying that there are drugs, prostitution, minors, non-consenting people, and just immoral people at these clubs! First of all, who do these people think they are to decide what is morally right or wrong for me? I believe that I have a good set of morals. Whatever did happen to Kweisi Mfume? You remember Kweisi, that one-time Baltimore youth hell-raiser who sired five children out of wedlock – but who reformed himself enough to get elected to Congress and then president of the NAACP. He is currently running for the Democratic nomination for U.S. senator from Maryland. So what did Kweisi do on Saturday, Oct. 15? Well, he enlisted as one of the speakers at Louis Farrakhan's "Millions More Movement" event – the 10th anniversary of the (alleged) "Million Man March," which never reached anywhere near that number, then or on the 15th. The Washington Post...

"A decree of death has been passed on America. The judgment of God has been rendered and she must be destroyed..."Louis Farrakhan - 1997 Louis Farrakhan is at it again. With the “Millions More Movement” he has catapulted himself back into the media spotlight in a manner that must make Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton green with envy. One thing that doesn’t get a lot of mention, although most Americans are certainly aware of it, is the fact that Farrakhan isn’t just another “Liberal Black Leader Wannabe.” Farrakhan is the leader of the American Islamic movement, The Nation of Islam....

I’ve never purported to be any sort of leader for black America. The current crop of “leadership” is rife with crackpots like Farrakhan (who also happens to be an anti-semite), and hustlers and shakedown artists like Sharpton/Jackson. Sharpton never saw a camera he didn’t like. He regularly inserts race into issues they have no place being, and he is strongly in the “blame whitey first” camp even when it has no actual ground to stand on. Yeah, he was lively in the Democratic debates, but it was also disgusting to have him up there. Jackson was once a shining star...

The Anti-Defamation League strongly condemned Saturday's Millions More March organized by Nation of Islam chief Louis Farrakhan, calling the event a "sideshow of racists." A roster of speakers distributed by the organizers of the Millions More Movement to publicize a kick-off event includes several "noted racists and anti-Semites on the extremist fringe," the ADL said, complaining that the event was "tainted with bigotry." "All along, Louis Farrakhan and his minions have suggested that this march will be different, that it will embrace diversity in a show of solidarity and strength," said Abraham Foxman, ADL National Director. "Now we see what...

This time, a decade later, the people came not just to make a statement, but to look for a little inspiration and guidance. WASHINGTON (AP) - Railing against the delayed relief for victims of Hurricane Katrina, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan said Saturday that the federal government should be charged with "criminal neglect of the people of New Orleans." "For five days, the government did not act. Lives were lost," Farrakhan said at the 10th anniversary of the Million Man March. "We charge America with criminal neglect." A crowd of thousands cheered as dozens of prominent speakers - academics, activists, artists and media pundits - spoke, recited poetry and sang songs in the 12-hour program on the National Mall. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005 11:50 p.m. EDT Bill Clinton Endorsed Farrakhan March When Nation of Islam chief Louis Farrakhan brings his Millions More Movement to Washington, D.C. this weekend, he's likely to elaborate on recent claims that New Orleans' levees were bombed during Hurricane Katrina, and reiterate his complaint that the Red Cross is "too white." The question is, will he still have ex-President Bill Clinton's blessing when he does? In May, before Katrina sent Farrakhan into conspiracy overdrive, Clinton endorsed the Millions More March, telling New York City's Amsterdam News, "I think this is a very positive idea." Speaking...

WASHINGTON - Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan says he wants this weekend's gathering on the National Mall to be the start of a long-range movement to empower minorities, not just a one-day event. Dubbed the Millions More Movement, Saturday's event marks the 10th anniversary of the Million Man March. "We're tired of begging others to do for us what we have the capacity to pool our resources — intellectually and financially — to do for ourselves," Farrakhan said Thursday at the National Press Club. "We will make demands from our government, but we know those demands will fall on...

Keith Brockington missed the inspiring pep rallies in advance of the march, the caravan of buses from all over the...

The Brady Campaign is trying to scare the wits out of tourists planning a visit to Florida. This courtesy of the Scotsman.com: "IT IS Britain's most popular transatlantic holiday destination, attracting more than 1.5 million visitors a year with its sun-drenched beaches, theme parks and wildlife. But Florida's £30 billion tourism industry is under threat from a campaign launched by a gun-control group which warns visitors they could be killed. A series of alarming adverts, to be placed in British newspapers, warns potential tourists about a new law allowing gun owners to shoot anyone they believe threatens their safety."
