I have not done much homework on Palin. I am not ready to conclude that she is a Reagan style conservative capable of obtaining the presidency. Not yet. I'm hopeful, but I think she has a long way to go.

Re Savage - I wonder if it is that he has distain for those he considers intellectual light weights. The guy is clearly impressed with himself, and is justifiably proud of his own acedemic background and accomplishments. That would tend to explain his opinions of Reagan and Palin.

Some of you may get ticked (deal) but I went back to the initial post by jmax. I agree with most of what he said about Savage. The only difference is that I choose to still listen and he chooses not to. Fine by me. Sometimes I bail if he is in a mood I just don't enjoy listening to.

I don't understand why someone posting a negative opinion of Savage automatically devolves into an instant flame war.

BTW, jmax, how did you like Psychological Nudity? I have not purchased the book, but enjoy short story compilations. Some of my favs are "Essays by E B White", and the Norton Anthology of Short Fiction.

I’m 100% sure that Savage did NOT have dinner with Mitt Romney. Savage called Romney a fraud on his show about a month ago. Here are some more people we can rule out:

Mike Schmuckabee
Sarah Palin
Bobby Jindal
Newt Gingrich
