At least 65 people were killed and scores were wounded Friday when a crane collapsed in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia's civil defense authority said. The accident happened as pilgrims from around the world converged on the city, Islam's holiest site, for the annual Hajj pilgrimage, which takes place this month. At least 62 people were killed when a crane crashed in Mecca's Grand Mosque on Friday, Saudi Arabia's civil defence authority said on its Twitter account. The ISIS Takfiri group has threatened to destroy the holy Kaaba in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. A member of the terrorist group posted a message on Twitter, saying that people worship a stone building instead of God and so it should be demolished. The message said if Daesh manages to conquer Makkah, it would raze the Kaaba to the ground on the order of the group's leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, al-Bawaba news reported. This is not the first time the Takfiri group talks of demolishing the holy place in Makkah.
