Its pretty simple. Assuming McCain wins the states he is currently in the lead or tied in according to RCP averages of state polls, then theses are the states he would have to carry to defeat Obama: State Obama (D) McCain (R) RCP Average RCP Status 2004 2000 Florida (27) 48.5 46.0 Obama +2.5 Toss Up Bush +5.0 Bush +0.1 Virginia (13) 50.0 45.8 Obama +4.2 Toss Up Bush +8.2 Bush +8.1 Ohio (20) 48.3 44.7 Obama +3.6 Toss Up Bush +2.1 Bush +3.5 Colorado (9) 50.5 45.0 Obama +5.5 Leaning Bush +4.7 Bush +8.4 This would make it a...

Isaiah 37:16,17,20 O LORD of Hosts, God of Israel, that Dwellest Between the Cherubims, Thou art the God, even Thou Alone, of All the Kingdoms of the Earth: Incline Thine Ear, O LORD, and Hear; Open Thine Eyes, O LORD, and See: And Hear All the Words of Sennacherib, Which hath Sent to Reproach the Living God. Now therefore, O LORD our God, Save us from his Hand, That All the Kingdoms of the Earth May Know that Thou art the LORD, Even Thou Only.

CORAL GABLES (CBS4) ― Just one day before voters will decide on their next president, an invigorated John McCain rocked the house at a post-midnight rally on the University of Miami Campus in Coral Gables, in a speech aimed heavily at Miami's Hispanic community, with a promise that he would continue to fight and win the presidency on Tuesday. "We gotta have all of our rallies at this time of night, I'm telling you," he said to thunderous applause from the crowd that gathered under the banner "Estamos Unidos", Spanish for "We're United". Many had been waiting at the BankUnited...

Sarah Palin was pretty fired-up over the newly unearthed Obama comments, saying to a crowd at Marietta College that her ticket would not let that happen to the coal industry. “Instead, we’ll make clean coal a reality and to help power the American economy with clean coal technology, we’re going to be looking to the hard-working people of Ohio and West Virginia and Pennsylvania.” With a wink and a smile she said “You betcha. Drill baby drill, and mine baby mine.”

They were hammering Clare McCaskill (D-MO) defending Obama's comments - she was talking out of both sides of her mouth. Totally funny - the next guest they had on for the economy totally debunked McCaskill on taxes. She said that under Obama plan the tax rate will be no higher than Regan's. The guest said that Reagan's rate was 28% - with Obama it's 43-45% (I can't remember the exact number)

PHILADELPHIA - Hillary Rodham Clinton is on her way to becoming the biggest loser of this election. If he wins tomorrow, Barack Obama will certainly be his party's standard-bearer in 2012 - icing Clinton out of the White House for at least eight years. And she'll be nearly 70 in 2016 - a young sprout compared to John McCain but probably too old to carry the flag for the newly recast party of youth and hope. Until then, Clinton will be exiled to the Senate to serve out her second term, more like a sentence than a term for the...

At an event at a Boca Raton synagogue, Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) said that the United States should let Russia invade Georgia. Beginning at the 3:50 mark in the following YouTube video, which was recorded by Pamela Geller of the blog Atlas Shrugs, Nadler says: We have not been willing to put our priorities properly. We have not been willing to say ... "Hey Russia, we won't expand NATO into the Ukraine and Georgia, right next to your borders, if you cooperate with us on Iran." ... I think Iran and Israel are a hell of a lot more important...

VIDEO HERE. Barack Obama stated his intention to bankrupt the coal industry in an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle. That would throw countless people out of work, devastate the economy of many coal producing states, and send electricity prices skyrocketing for everyone. Sarah Palin opposes Barack's bankrupt plan and pledges to fight with everything she has for working Americans! Please ask everyone you know to vote for her Tuesday November 4th!!!

McCain up now in live midnight Florida rally!!!

ABC News' Matt Jaffe reports: Just 48 hours before Election Day, Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden's rally Sunday at Florida State University was disrupted by a raucous group of Republican opponents just outside the event's gates. About 30 supporters of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin blared sirens and chanted so loudly that they even got Biden's attention. "Maybe those McCain folks can hear this, they’d be interested back there," Biden said over the din of the protesters just a hundred yards away. "They can hear this, I’ll say it loudly as I can. I thought...

Campaigning in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday, Barack Obama said: "On the day of the Iowa caucus, my faith in the American people was vindicated, and what you started here in Iowa has swept the nation." At a rally in Ohio yesterday, McCain responded to Obama's statement: "We learn more and more about Senator Obama. He said the other day that his primary victory ‘vindicated’ his faith in America,” McCain said to boos from more than 3,000 supporters at his rally in Northern Virginia today. “My country has never had to prove anything to me, my friends. I have always...

What is it about San Francisco that makes Barack Obama say things that offend Pennsylvania voters? During his infamous San Fran fundraiser back in April, Obama said that folks in Pennsylvania bitterly clung to their guns, religion, and xenophobia because they were economically depressed. Now, Newsbusters digs up an audio recording of Obama telling the San Francisco Gate that his environmental policies will "bankrupt" the coal industry: So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's...

Sarah Palin, smiling radiantly and standing several feet above the crowd in Raleigh, NC, said “You want me to sign that?” An apt question—I was surrounded by excited Palin supporters, all yelling frantically and holding out pink t-shirts and Palin photos for her autograph. The lady next to me shouted “For my daughter, Sarah!” In my pocket I had found a piece of sloppily folded script left over from the phone campaigning I had done just prior to the event. I held it toward Governor Palin, upward and through the barrier of angry looking Secret Service men. “Yes!” was my...

Columbus, Ohio — John McCain supporters in Ohio still think he can win the state, but they are very worried about the state’s problems with voter fraud, and they are surprised the story isn’t getting more national attention. “We don’t know whether it’s been stolen already or not,” one told me at a McCain rally in Columbus on Friday. “Because of ACORN,” his companion added. The supporter, an older gentleman named Lindy Miller, told me that in his hometown, ACORN was caught registering Alzheimer’s patients at a nursing home. Actually, it wasn’t ACORN that registered 95-year-old Mildred Meddock and let...

Chillicothe, Ohio — “I am Middle America,” Eric Rinehart tells me as we stand in front of the Ross County Courthouse after Sarah Palin’s appearance here in this city of 21,000, sometimes called a bellwether city in a bellwether state. “Central Ohio, NRA member, former Marine out of Lima Company, paid for my own college, live on the west end of town.” With characteristics like that, Rinehart might just be a bellwether voter in a bellwether city in a bellwether state. A former city councilman here in Chillicothe, Rinehart doesn’t pretend to love John McCain. After McCain wrapped up the...

The Minnesota U.S. Senate race remains a tossup on the final weekend of the campaign, with the outcome likely to be decided by who can snatch away the most voters from third-party contender Dean Barkley. A new Star Tribune Minnesota Poll shows DFLer Al Franken clinging to a slim lead over Republican Sen. Norm Coleman among likely voters, 42 percent to 38 percent. That's within the poll's 4.1 percentage point margin of sampling error. Independence Party candidate Barkley, who held steady at 18 percent in the two previous Minnesota Polls, slipped three points to 15 percent. The fluid nature of...

WASHINGTON – Counting down to Election Day, Barack Obama appears within reach of becoming the nation's first black president as the epic campaign draws to a close against a backdrop of economic crisis and lingering war. John McCain, the battle-scarred warrior, holds out hope for a Truman-beats-Dewey-style upset. Whoever wins, the country's 44th president will immediately confront some of the most difficult economic challenges since the Great Depression. In that effort, he'll almost surely be working with a stronger Democratic majority in Congress, as well as among governors and state legislatures nationwide. GOP incumbents at every level are endangered just...

Forty-one years ago, John McCain lay in a North Vietnamese prison, body broken and fighting for life, after his Navy jet was shot down days earlier. McCain, now 72, "didn't think about it much" this past week. Not at all, in fact, until NBC newscaster Tom Brokaw mentioned it in an interview; those nearly six years he spent as a prisoner of war are "kind of a chapter of my life that's over."

It's been an incredibly long campaign season. Two years ago, candidates began the process of trying to earn your vote. Others joined in later, only to fade from the limelight as others moved to the forefront. I can still remember the pundits telling us this election would be between Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton. Not only are they not the choice before us, they aren't even on the ticket. Over the years I've seen several Presidents come and go, some good, some not so good. My teen years came just as the Vietnam War was ending, and President Richard Nixon...

Go ahead, drink it in. What happens in Vegas, well, sometimes doesn't stay in Vegas. This is a genuine photo of an Obama campaign office in Las Vegas. I couldn't have planned this shot better myself, and I'm a guy who knows his way around photoshopping for fun and vengeance. Especially funny is how tragically true it is. You can't see in my crop, but he's got a Lexus and a Benz parked out front ... wonder what bracket those folks are in? What's his new definition of rich again? 100k? It's dropping so fast I have a touch of...

A former top deputy to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan tells Newsmax that Barack Obama’s ties to the black nationalist movement in Chicago run deep, and that for many years the two men have had “an open line between them” to discuss policy and strategy, either directly or through intermediaries. “Remember that for years, if you were a politician in Chicago, you had to have some type of relationship with Louis Farrakhan. You had to. If you didn’t, you would be ostracized out of black Chicago,” said Dr. Vibert White Jr., who spent most of his adult life as...

I just finished a nice chat with an Obama supporter looking to get out the vote. He asked me who I was voting for - and looking like he was ready to come up with a compelling argument why I should vote for Obama. I told him that is between me and the voting booth. He was taken aback. I've heard of how they can be confrontational and I wasn't going to play their game. I thanked him for coming. If you do get an Obama supporter coming to your door or calling your phone, treat them with kindness and...

LIMA, OH — The muzzle is off. Joe Biden stopped by a local burger joint for late night take-out, but wound up taking 12 minutes of questions from national reporters who haven’t been able to talk to the Delaware Senator since a flight to Kalispell, MT on September 7th. So did the gaffe-prone VP nominee feel pressure from the campaign not to talk to the press? “If I’m muzzled, I don’t know,” Biden said. “I’ve done 200 interviews. I’ve been doing, you know, half a dozen to a dozen satellite feeds everyday. I’m doing shows, I mean, so, no one...

LAND O' LAKES, Fla. -- A nudist community on Florida's west coast wants to be allowed a clothing-optional polling site. The Caliente Resorts, located in Pasco County north of Tampa, has approached election officials about the idea. There are more than 350 potential voters who live at the nudist resort full time, MyFOX Tampa Bay reported. Another 200 people work there, many of whom also work with little or no clothing. Nothing in state law would prohibit it, but the supervisor of elections says he is opposed to creating any new precincts before redistricting in 2010.

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - A professor has confessed on a national blog to stealing Republican presidential campaign signs in southern Minnesota. Philip Busse wrote about the thefts on Huffington Post, a liberal news Web site and blog in a post dated Thursday. He is a visiting professor in the theater department at St. Olaf College in Northfield. In the article titled "Confessions of a Lawn Sign Stealer," Busse admits to stealing seven McCain/Palin lawn signs along Hwy. 19 near St. Olaf. In an e-mail to the Northfield News, Busse expressed remorse, saying it was "immature and impetuous." He says he is...

To: Interested Parties From: Rick Davis, Campaign Manager Date: October 31, 2008 RE: The Final Push The State of the Campaign All the major polls have shown a tightening in the race and a significant narrowing of the numbers. In John McCain's typical pattern, he is closing strong and surprising the pundits. We believe this race is winnable, and if the trajectory continues, we will surpass the 270 Electoral votes needed on Election Night. National Polls: Major polls last week showed John McCain trailing by double-digit margins - but by the middle of this week, we were within the margin...

Has the Associated Press had a change of heart, or are they just covering their bases in the final days of the election? Regardless, the Associated Press, has finally reported a story that should be particularly disturbing to all Americans. The President of the United States has, by definition, two primary roles as both the Commander in Chief and as the nations Chief Enforcement Officer. The role of the executive branch is to assure the enforcement of the laws passed by the legislative branch and signed by the President. So my question this morning is simple: How is Barack Obama...

America is at a moment of national crisis that will determine its future. Will it continue to lead the world’s economies or will it be overtaken? Will the world become safer or more dangerous? Will our military remain the strongest in the world? Will our children and grandchildren’s future be brighter than ours? I believe our answer is a resounding “Yes!” But we must elect a president who is prepared to do more than just offer eloquent words. At a time of economic crisis and international conflict, America can’t afford to take a gamble on what the Star Tribune describes...

- - In the final stretch of the campaign, John McCain is trying to hold on to Florida's Hispanic voters, while Barack Obama is focused on getting Democrats to the polls. The ghosts of elections past emerged in Florida on Friday as Al Gore stumped for Barack Obama and John McCain's campaign vowed to match George W. Bush's record ad-spending and absentee-ballot success. In the final weekend before Election Day, Florida remains in play as one of the most pivotal states in the nation for the presidential race. Both campaigns have focused their battleground strategy on trying to avoid the...

WASHINGTON (AP) — Barack Obama's aunt, a Kenyan woman who has been quietly living in public housing in Boston, is in the United States illegally after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago, The Associated Press has learned. ABC News Reporter Jake Tapper's Political Punch Blog has a report on Sen. Barack Obama's push-back on John McCain's description of his tax policies, Tapper begins with a quote from Obama in Florida, here is the whole report: "The reason that we want to do this, change our tax code, is not because I have anything against the rich," Obama said in Sarasota, Fla., yesterday. "I love rich people! I want all of you to be rich. Go for it. That's the American dream, that's the American way, that's terrific.
