Donald Trump said again on Sunday that he is “open-minded” about climate change -- but also that “nobody really knows” the truth about the issue, which contradicts the fact that there is near-universal scientific agreement on the issue. In an interview with “Fox News Sunday,” moderator Chris Wallace pointed out to Mr. Trump that in the space of a week he bothmet with former Vice President Al Gore and appointed Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, a climate change denier who has opposed many environmental regulations, to head the Environmental Protection Agency. Where, Wallace asked, does Mr. Trump stands on climate...

On Tuesday’s NBC Today, Al Roker used an 8 a.m. ET hour weather report to mount his climate change soapbox and issue a dire warning to viewers: “Well, it has been a really hot year and it just continues. 15 consecutive months of record warmth, global temperatures....But look what happens if we project out to 2050, look at how much further you start to see that deep red of 50-plus days above 100.” The weather map on screen displayed statistics from the climate change activist group Climate Central. Roker continued with the doomsday predictions: “And by 2100, New York City...

During an end-of-the-year class party at a New Jersey elementary school, a 9-year-old boy said something about brownies and was subsequently questioned by a police officer who was called by the school to investigate an incident of racism. It was another student that accused the boy of saying something "racist," but the boy's mother said he was talking about "snacks, not skin color," according to Philly.com. "He said they were talking about brownies. Who exactly did he offend?" the mother, Stacy dos Santos, asked incredulously. When the boy's father was contacted later in the day, he was informed that the...

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.(Genesis 3:15)And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.(Revelation 12:17) We see by these texts that the Serpent of Genesis becomes a Dragon by Revelation. He is the enemy of all mankind, the original murderer and tempter, whose task is to alienate all men from God. But the Dragon/Serpent...

It’s impossible to miss the “Hillary for Prison” signs at Trump rallies. At one of the Democratic debates, the moderator asked Hillary Clinton whether she would drop out of the race if she were indicted over her private email server. “Oh for goodness – that is not going to happen,” she said. “I’m not even going to answer that question.” Based on what I know about the emails, the idea of her being indicted or going to prison is nonsensical. Nonetheless, the belief that Clinton is dishonest and untrustworthy is pervasive. A recent New York Times-CBS poll found that 40%...

Meet Curly Haugland, former chairman of the North Dakota Republican party and current Republican national committeeman. Haugland is one of just 112 delegates who will arrive unbound to this summer’s Republican convention in Cleveland, free to cast a vote for any candidate he chooses on a first ballot because North Dakota does not hold a primary or caucus. That makes him a particularly valuable asset to the still-dueling presidential campaigns. Haugland, a Bismarck businessman and a member of the powerful RNC committee that will set the rules governing this year’s convention, says voters may be in for a rude awakening...

Jeff Sessions (Ala.), counseling him on foreign affairs and helping to shape his policies.

Glenn Beck brought a fasting child on stage yesterday during his campaign speech for Ted Cruz in Utah. Beck declared to the Cruz crowd: “This is the priesthood rising.”

Cruz also basked in the praise of two big-name Mormons: former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney and conservative talk show host Glenn Beck. […] Beck, a Mormon and conservative radio talk show host, said he always vows to be the worst enemy of politicians who do not keep promises. “I don’t have any friends in Washington except these two,†he said about Cruz and Lee. He added they are the first politicians he has even endorsed. Beck said that he, like many Mormons, believe in a prophecy that the Constitution will hang by a thread in the last days....

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) called for an end of "over-policing" in black neighborhoods during the PBS Democratic presidential debate in Milwaukee, Wis., on Thursday night. "What we have to do is end over-policing in African-American neighborhoods. The reality is that both the African-American community and the white community do marijuana at about equal rates," Sanders said. "The reality is four times as many blacks get arrested for marijuana. Truth is that far more blacks get stopped for traffic violations." An undecided voter via Facebook wrote: "Wisconsin is number one in African-American male incarceration, according to a University...

According to Pergram, House Republicans are gearing up to attach a proposal to the omnibus that has been decried by Sessions and others as empowering Obama to bring in an unlimited number of refugees. Pergram writes that the omnibus may include: “some combination language which tightens up the visa waiver program and bolsters a review of Syrian and Iraqi refugees coming to the U.S.†The language “bolster a review of Syrian and Iraqi refugees,†appears to be a direct reference to the Ryan-McCaul proposal which passed the House on November 19 and was rebuked as a “show vote†that accomplished...

WASHINGTON -- Barring last minute opposition from Congress, Saudi Arabia is poised to receive a hefty $1.3 billion weapons package that includes 13,000 “smart bombs†from the United States by the end of the year. But don’t necessarily expect it to be used to fight ISIS. Critics say the payload of sophisticated weapons will instead bolster the Saudis' continuing air war against the Houthi rebels in Yemen. That campaign is drawing fire from human rights groups, who say the kingdom has been targeting civilians with American-made weapons, and may be responsible for war crimes.

Defense and intelligence officials are discussing when and how to allow commercial cloud providers to handle Level 6 classified data, said Rob Vietmeyer, an associate director for cloud computing in the office of the Department of Defense CIO. It could be over a year before such an arrangement materializes, Vietmeyer told reporters Dec. 11, but the development shows a willingness to trust the private sector with military secrets. Defense officials are banking on cloud computing to save the department billions of dollars as part of an ambitious plan to consolidate its vast amount of data centers. Allowing contractors to handle...

Following on the heels of the Swedish foreign minister, the chairman of the Dutch Socialist Party in the Netherlands justified the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists who conducted Saturday's brutal attacks in Paris that left 129 dead, blaming it on "frustration" at Israel. According to Jan Marijnissen, the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs somehow ignited the attack on French civilians at cafes, show venues, soccer stadiums and restaurants. "Their behavior eventually is connected also to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict," claimed Marijnissen in an interview with the Dutch NPO Radio1 on Monday. ...

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz says he will introduce legislation banning all Muslim Syrians from the United States in response to ISIS' hit on Paris. 'What Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are proposing is that we bring to this country tens of thousands of Syrian Muslim refugees,' Cruz told CNN last night at a campaign stop in Charleston, South Carolina. 'I have to say particularly in light of what happened in Paris, that's nothing short of lunacy,' he said. ... By days end, Republican presidential candidates and Members of Congress - including some Democrats - were lining up to demand...

Wednesday on the “Simon Conway Show,†Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson said the United States should establish a no-fly zone at the Turkish-Syrian border and shoot down any Russian plane that enters it. Carson said, “If they do come into that area—after you have given them adequate warning, after we’ve talked to Putin—you shoot them down. Absolutely.†he added, “Whatever happens next, we deal with it. But we can’t continue backing down because in the long run, that will hurt us.â€

Just throwing out an idea based on an observation. In all my years on FR, watching the duplicate threads show up, and the users insisting they searched for existing articles. I believe them. The problem lies in the default searching option in my view. Change it from keywords to title. The title search is vastly more useful and is what I use to detect duplicate articles, and I suspect the same to many of those that enjoy pointing them out. In my observation, many duplicate articles are a result of inaccurate or incomplete keyword lists that don't quite literally have...

But little did we know that Overstock's Chairman Jonathan Johnson is as vocal an opponent of the fiat system, and Wall Street's tendency to create bubble after bubble, if not more than Byrne himself. That, and that his company actually puts its money where its gold-backed money is and in preparation for the next upcoming crash, has taken unprecedented steps to prepare for what comes next. One week ago Johnson, who is also candidate for Utah governor, spoke at the United Precious Metals Association, or UPMA, which we first profiled a month ago, and which takes advantage of Utah's special...

This duck hunting protester in Australia was wading through a duck hunt in order to save hit ducks. She was then accidentally shot in the face. A duck protestor in Australia was wading through a duck hunt attempting to “save” the ducks that were shot down. A shot at a low-flying duck resulted in her accidental shooting. Back in March of 2011, these bold anti-hunters decided to interfere in a duck hunt in Australia. A 14-year-old duck hunter took a shot at a low-flying duck and shotgun pellets hit this anti-hunter in the face. Julia Symons was hit by at...
