Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Jarod Newlove, 25, of Renton, Wash., died of wounds suffered from an incident in Afghanistan’s Logar province July 23. Coalition forces recovered his body yesterday after an extensive search, officials said. He was assigned to Navy Reserve Force Command.
