Today is Teary Solidarity Day in the UK. Flowers, candles, and teddy bears are accumulating in their appointed places. Photos of slain children are being displayed on television and in the newspapers, and weepy citizens are lamenting their tragic loss. New hashtags proliferate on social media. On March 8 Paul Weston was scheduled to speak at a hotel in Montreal at the invitation of ACT for Canada. “Anti-fascist” extremists promised a demonstration and threatened to boycott the establishment if the event took place, so the hotel caved in and cancelled it at the last minute.
