What do you do when you are an assistant professor at a public university and you’ve been caught red-handed retweeting a tweet advocating murder? If you’re University of Rhode Island professor Erik Loomis, you delete your entire Twitter account ... We’re glad he won’t be advocating violence on Twitter any longer. Hopefully, he will use the freed-up time to seek help from a mental health professional. * * * Update: What exactly is Loomis hiding? Before he deleted his Twitter account, we managed to make note of a few of his angrier tweets

While much of the country mourns the horrific death of the 26 children and adults murdered at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut at the hands of an alleged mentally unstable individual who also killed his mother, the Left lost no time in shamelessly exploiting the tragedy. In fact, Democratic Congressman Jerrold Nadler (NY) used the word “exploit” in urging President Obama to take advantage of the Newtown massacre to prod Congress into passing stronger gun control legislation. The Left’s avowed goal is to use what happened to galvanize support for cutting the Second Amendment into pieces and...

Over the weekend, Houston Democrat Precinct Chair John Cobarruvias tweeted, "Can we now shoot the #NRA and everyone who defends them?" This, apparently, is part of what he calls "hard-hitting political commentary" on his blog "Bay Area Houston." Prior to the asinine tweet broaching the subject of shooting NRA members as a solution to gun violence, Cobarruvias had spent some of his "hard-hitting political commentary" mocking conservatives -- or as Cobarruvias himself put it, by "laughing and puking on GOP Tea Baggers."

Following the horrific act of violence that occurred in Newtown, Conn. on Friday, some anti-gun advocates are calling for NRA president David Keene and all other members of the NRA to be shot. To be clear, these people are calling for violence to solve what they think is the cause of many acts of violence — guns. sam tarling @sammyswordfish All NRA members should be shot!!!! I thank you, that's one of my own !! 16 Dec 12 Reply Retweet Favorite michael mayer @prisonforbush Someone should shoot this motherfucker NRA President David Keene weighs in on 2012 election – Glenn...

A professor of history turned to Twitter over the weekend to call for the death of National Rifle Association (NRA) CEO Wayne LaPierre, branding the gun rights group he heads as a terrorist organization. “[I] want Wayne LaPierre’s head on a stick,” Erik Loomis, a professor at the University of Rhode Island (URI), tweeted.

As if life in America right now isn't disturbing enough, in the wake of the Connecticut shootings, the left is in a frenzy to disarm Americans. This has been a priority on their agenda *long* before the recent spate of troubled young men going on killing sprees. I just read a comment in response to one of over 100 DUmmy threads devoted to banning guns that sent me right over the top. "The collective will has got to be there and perhaps the deaths of these beautiful babes will be the catalyst for change." Pardon? The deaths of these beautiful...

When I wrote yesterday about the liberals coming out against guns, I had no idea just how some people would react. What once would have been unthinkable to blast out into public seems to be becoming more normal via things like Twitter and Facebook. Below are a selection of Tweets that are clearly anti-Second Amendment and even calls for the murder of the National Rifle Association President David Keene, along with NRA members.

The great thing about Democracy – as I’m sure you’ll all agree – is that once the campaigns, debates and battles are over and the people have spoken, everyone can pick up the pieces and get on with productive work to advance the principles each side believes in. Clearly, such is the case in Michigan, where defeated but undaunted union advocates have already begun dusting themselves off and …Nope. LANSING — A speaker at a union protest against right-to-work legislation said if Gov. Rick Snyder signed the bill he would get “no rest†and that protesters would be at his...

12-12-12 I joined a handful of people who supported Right to Work Legislation in Lansing yesterday. While the union goons circled the AFP tent like a pack of hyenas all morning, I ventured out with my friend Wendy, and videotaped the crowds as they swelled from a few hundred at 8 AM to at least 15,000 by 11:30AM. We also spent considerable time observing the planned events that culminated in a near riot. Between 8 and 9, the union leadership directed the protestors to kick Michigan Americans for Prosperity people off the Capitol's front steps, which the AFP had reserved,...

Virginia Rep. Jim Moran's office has another statement about his son's arrest for assaulting his girlfriend in Columbia Heights earlier this month. And it turns out it was all an accident, according to Moran, despite his son's guilty plea to assault. "The situation was an accident," Moran spokeswoman Anne Hughes writes in an email, adding that both Moran and his girlfriend testified to that in court. "Patrick didn't hit or shove her."

Steven Crowder attempted to start a dialogue at a protest against the Right To Work bill in Michigan (which prohibits coercion to join a union, as you can imagine the Bolsheviks running them don't like that). As we've come to expect from the left, every "fear" and accusation of violence they have coming from conservatives is proven to be pure projection of their on proclivities whenever they get the chance to show it.See the video of Crowder getting attacked here. If you're on Twitter retweet it here.

“There will be blood,” State Representative Douglas Geiss threatened from the floor of the Michigan House of Representatives today as the body debated legislation that would make Michigan the nation’s 24th right to work state. “I really wish we had not gone here,” Geiss continued. “It is the leadership in this house that has led us here. The same leadership that tried to throw a bomb right on election day, leading to a member switching parties, and came in at the 11th hour with a gotcha bill. For that, I do not see solace, I do not see peace.”Michigan Gov....

The race to the White House can be ugly and cruel, an inconvenient truth that rears its ugly head in U.S. politics every four years. Unfortunately, there will always be those who reserve pure, unadulterated hatred for anyone they disagree with. Nothing displays that fact more clearly than the dozens of horrific death threats made against GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney via Twitter, which were uncovered Sunday night. South Carolina attorney Todd Kincannon, who is also the former executive director of the South Carolina Republican Party, took notice of the intense hatred coming from the left and directed the threatening...

As college student, Eric Holder participated in ‘armed’ takeover of former Columbia University ROTC office As a freshman at Columbia University in 1970, future Attorney General Eric Holder participated in a five-day occupation of an abandoned Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) headquarters with a group of black students later described by the university’s Black Students’ Organization as “armed,” The Daily Caller has learned. Department of Justice spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler has not responded to questions from The Daily Caller about whether Holder himself was armed — and if so, with what sort of weapon. Holder was then among the leaders...

During the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, TheBlaze took to Time Warner Cable Arena to speak with delegates about the most pressing issues of our time. Most of those interviewed were good sports, answering questions about the trajectory of the country under Obama, the Affordable Care Act and even Socialism. One of our conversations took an unexpected turn, however, when we asked New York delegate Julia Rodriguez about her views on the direction of the country. Rodriguez promptly shouted that she would, in fact, like to “kill” Mitt Romney.

The CEO of Breitbart News and Andrew Breitbart's life-long friend Larry Solov said, "From day one, Andrew understood intuitively that the Occupy Movement was being orchestrated by sinister forces to wage class warfare in an attempt to divide Americans. He was not the kind of person to sit back and allow that to happen, nor would he allow the media to obscure their hateful agenda." If you want to know why Andrew Breitbart wanted the film “Occupy Unmasked” made, look no further than this email:

Tampa police find 'suspicious' bricks, pipes on rooftop just days before Republican conventionTAMARA LUSH, Associated PressAugust 21, 2012 TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa police said Tuesday that they confiscated pipes, bricks and other "suspicious" items from the rooftop of a downtown building located about a mile from where next week's Republican National Convention will be held. Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor said she believes the items were put there by protesters for use during RNC demonstrations. She added that some RNC-related graffiti was also found at the building, but wouldn't elaborate. "It is disconcerting but it's not surprising," she said. "This...

God willing, the last few weeks could go down as a turning point in the struggle against the intolerant, aggressive — and often very hateful — Homosexual Lobby in America. First, as many of you know because you participated in it, Americans rallied by the hundreds of thousands behind Chick-fil-A in what I’m calling the first national repudiation of pro-”gay” political correctness in a long time. Then, those of us whose news was not filtered by the liberal media [see this report by Media Research Center] learned of the anti-Christian (politically motivated) “hate crime” at the Family Research Council —...
