Abortion-rights advocates have sued the Ohio Department of Health, claiming it is illegally withholding records of phone calls and emails between agency employees and representatives of Ohio Right to Life. The lawsuit filed by the NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio Foundation was referred to mediation today by the Ohio Supreme Court after being filed on Dec. 24. The action asks the justices to order the health department to turn over records reflecting phone calls to two telephone numbers associated with Ohio Right to Life and emails sent to persons whose email addresses end with “ohiolife.org.”

This morning on Meet the Press, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said that the city will "explore every option" in regards to getting Initiative 71 enforced in the city. Initiative 71, which would have permitted the legal use of marijuana for recreational purposes, was passed with overwhelming support on Election Day, yet was blocked by Congress. CHICAGO, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- United Airlines and Orbitz are suing 22-year-old Aktarer Zaman to recuperate what they say is $75,000 in lost revenue. Zaman founded the website Skiplagged, which helps passengers find cheaper flights by finding tickets where the actual destination of the traveler is a layover. The strategy is called "Hidden City." "In its simplest form, a passenger purchases a ticket from city A to city B to city C but does not travel beyond city B," Orbitz, an online booking site, and United Airlines said.
