A Republican president can often enact a more liberal agenda than a Democrat could because many Republicans in Congress are more loyal to party than to principle. Over the past few generations, congressional Democrats could customarily be relied upon to promote a liberal agenda while their Republican counterparts developed the reputation of being stalwart opponents of our nation's slide into big government and internationalism. The record shows, however, that during the past 50 years, congressional Republicans have exhibited such opposition only when....

A small town in Indiana and a brief filed saying that Roe v. This is, of course, by White House design for the public understanding of Judge Roberts. Bush has exhibited his recurrent traits and examining G.W. Bush right now is the only way to know what really is in the heart of Judge Roberts. Roberts is deliberately without much record. He is deliberately congenial and with friends all around. He...

Many argue that communism will never be possible because of "human nature". The essence of this false argument is the belief that a communist society would consist of an all-powerful central government that would tell everybody what to do--and would therefore undermine the creative initiative of individuals and the search for happiness. • This argument is based on two false assumptions: (1) It assumes that a communist society will look like the former Soviet Union, or the current China, North Korea, etc (ie: corrupt police states with a feudal-style ruling class) (2) It assumes that people will only work in...

Initial reports claim he may have a punctured lung. Replete with esoteric symbols, conspiracy research certainly warrants semiotic examination. Although fraught with historical flaws and theological distortions, The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown acknowledges the value of semiotics in studying the conspiratorial world. In fact, the novel’s central character is a semiotician specializing in symbology. Evidently, Brown recognized the potential of semiotics in analyzing the coded messages of cabals occupying history’s darker corners. September 11th is one such corner that is worth semiotic analysis. Numerous researchers like Michael Ruppert and Dennis Cuddy have done an excellent job compiling the evidence of government complicity in 9-11. Recapitulating their arguments...

More precisely, she didn't know that a decades-old unenforced rule was suddenly being enforced against friendly tourists long accustomed to entering the country without a visa at all. I'm not sure I understand why awards are necessary, and having won and lost my share in the past, I'm certain those who are nominated aren't quite sure either. Award ceremonies themselves are excruciating affairs where you try to act as normal as possible while your stomach flips in circles and your mind tries to rectify the banality of it all: Does this define me? I was watching TV late night and I seen a Kerry in a democratic fundraser. BAr BARa strisand was throwing money at that and well as all the other jewish and librial pukes that were in the building. Still, it is not mr and mrs Kerry. But, Mrs Hintz Kerry. Sorta like Hillary Rodham Clinton. But after seeing all this. I just can't bring my self to see another movie knowing that my ticket purchase can go to the DNC in some way.

  • Last night I snuck in to F911 (didn't want to give Moore $10) (and all I got was this lousy ZOT!!!)

Thought half of it was BS -- vague implications with no follow through. But the stuff about corporate links to the war, the Afgan pipeline, connections with the Saudis really caught me off guard. I got home and searched for info to debunk everything and only found info that supported Moore's claims. Also, I live in NYC and the "keep them afraid and people will do anything" hit a bit too close to home. Anyone else see it? Anyone else have questions and doubts? I'm not some DUer planting seeds, I'm just wondering how others are incorporating some of F911's...

I Just saw the Movoie Fahrenheit 911. Man, was I blown away. I am a lifelong Republican and a solid Bush supporter. Did Mr. Moore ever open my eyes! Who knew Bush was so corrupt and incompetent! Good job, Mr Moore for getting the truth out. I feel like my wisdom has doubled after seeing this great movie. Mr. Kerry, chalk up one new vote.

In case you don't know, "Freepers" are fans of a certain far-out-right-wing-nut website and they go on sites like this and "freep" books with one-star reviews without reading them. They're group-thinkers and dittoheads. They go on polling sites and "freep" them as well, and the ones who are technically inclined attempt to infiltrate some websites and shut them down. They're rotten, horrible people.
