A Google search shows over 5,000 references to The Brussels Journal and the Norway killer, Anders Breivik. Two of the most notable sources are the UK Guardian, and the German Spiegel Online. From these and others we find that Breivik's own writing contained references to material sourced from The Brussels Journal and another blog, The Gates of Vienna. From both venues the anonymous writer Fjordman is cited. The implication is that The Brussels Journal's political writings are in some way responsible for creating an intellectual ground leading to the murder of innocents. Der Spiegel's Frank Patalong labels The Brussels Journal...

Bitter criticism of Islam, a "grass-roots" profile, islamophobia: that's what "experts" immediately point to in the wake of the disaster created by a so-called "Christian extremist" (or, in contradiction, a freemason). Compared with the Oslo bombing and the Utøya killings, a small anti-christian killing in Egypt or elsewhere is explained simply as an act of an unbalanced lunatic, or as the effect of social tension caused by the "American-Zionist" masters of the universe. That is the iniquitous model of the bankable explanation presented to us. Without reducing the inexcusable aspect of his acts, let's focus on the circumstances in which...

A cryptic code sent by the Zodiac killer on November 8, 1969 to San Francisco Chronicle has baffled authorities for decades, until now. Now a 27-year-old man is claiming he cracked this code as well as the identity of the Zodiac killer, who murdered at least seven people in the late 60s. Corey Starliper of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, was intrigued by the case after watching a 2007 movie "Zodiac" about the killings. He claims to have spent nine hours working on cracking the code. "I found it exciting, that I was actually able to get into his head when nobody had...

Is this a joke? Or has the mainstreaming of Sharia really advanced this far? If Shamci Rafani is real and not a hoax, is she a "moderate" because she is only calling for the killing of adulteresses, not actually carrying it out? Doesn't this article give the lie to the oft-repeated claim that no Muslims in America support the elements of Sharia that contradict American principles and laws? Can we get a statement repudiating the stoning of adulteresses and rebuking Shamci Rafani from the "moderate" Muslim establishment? Honest Ibe Hooper? Imam Rauf? Anyone? Anyone? And didn't anyone at the Visalia...

Evil words in Islamic Republic: A senior Iranian cleric, who is known as President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's spiritual mentor, urged followers to continue suicide attacks against Israelis, including children. Ayatollah Mohammad Taghi Mesbah, considered one of the Islamic Republic's most radical clerics, issued a religious edict on his website whereby suicide attacks are not only legitimate but are a must for every Muslim. The senior cleric was responding to a question from a follower regarding the difference between "martyr's death" and "suicide." The man, who wrote anonymously, noted that "some people say that martyrdom acts are considered suicide and are forbidden

A devout Muslim tracked his step-daughter over four states to murder her for bringing dishonour on her family, according to police. Rahim Alfetlawi, 45, followed 20-year-old Jessica Mokdad to her grandmother’s home in Warren, Michigan, and shot his step-daughter in the head. Alfetlawi gave himself in to police, claiming the gun went off by accident when he pulled it out. Alfetlawi reportedly became enraged when Miss Mokdad stopped wearing the traditional Muslim headscarf.

I grew up watching old Hollywood westerns in which the Indians always stopped fighting if their chief was killed, or at least they stopped until they selected a new chief. The killing of Osama bin Laden may provide a great deal of emotional satisfaction for Americans, but it won't necessarily improve the chances of defeating al Qaeda. The killing might even invigorate al Qaeda. I was serving in Vietnam when North Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh died. His death didn't change what was happening in the war. Bin Laden's presence in an area far removed from the action indicates he...

Green River Killer Gary Ridgway is facing his 49th murder charge for the death of a woman whose skull was found by teenagers in a ravine, 28 years after she went missing. Ridgway, 61, is already serving 48 consecutive life sentences after being jailed in 2003 for a strangling spree which terrorised Seattle and its northern suburbs in the early 1980s. He once said he killed so many women he could not keep track of them all. He had previously confessed to killing Rebecca 'Becky' Marrero, a 20-year-old mother and prostitute last seen when she left a motel in 1982.

A Charles Manson follower has been ordered to remain in prison after parole board officials rejected her claim she was a changed woman. The two-member panel said the viciousness and notoriety of Patricia Krenwinkel's crimes outweighed her efforts at rehabilitation behind bars. Krenwinkel, now 63, wept and apologised during the hearing, but officials said the deaths of seven people in the 1969 Tate-LaBianca murders 'remained relevant'.

A new book about the closing days of WW2 chronicles how German civilians murdered many concentration camp survivors as they moved through their towns and villages on infamous 'death marches' back into the shrinking Reich. The violence shows how even with their nation in ruins, the Allies advancing on all fronts and the war hopeless, ordinary people were so indoctrinated with Nazi hate they were prepared to kill defenceless people in cold blood.

In a press release late last night, Wikileaks made a sick attempt to link in the public mind the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords to widespread outrage in America over its recent leaking of hundreds of thousands of US government documents. Even for Julian Assange this is surely a low point in media manipulation, and here he is clearly mimicking the far Left’s ludicrous attempts to blame the Right for the Arizona shootings. Here’s what the release, entitled “WikiLeaks: treat incitement seriously or expect more Gabrielle Gifford killing sprees” said: WikiLeaks staff and contributors have also been the target of...

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama struggled Tuesday to prevent wholesale defections by fellow Democrats that could sink the tax deal he worked out with Republicans — angry opposition that could subject millions of Americans to a big holiday-season tax increase. Many GOP lawmakers seemed ready to embrace the Obama-GOP compromise and declare victory. The question was whether enough Democrats would join them in support, especially in the House, where liberal resentment of the president's concessions on tax breaks for the wealthiest runs strong. Obama went on national TV to give a ringing defense of his compromise, declaring it the necessary...

Police have made an arrest in the crossbow slaying of a man in a library in Toronto's east end. The shooting happened at about 4:30 p.m. ET Thursday at the Main Street Library, just south of Gerrard Street East, Toronto police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck down by a crossbow projectile known as a bolt, police told CBC News. A bolt is shorter than an arrow but can be much heavier. Witnesses told CBC's Jermaine Hylton they saw two men approach the man, who was sitting on a bench, and then pepper-spray him....
