In the speeches I have given over the years supporting the pro-life cause, I have often pointed out that the calculated disregard for innocent life first aimed at babes in the womb would eventually claim the lives of the elderly, the infirm and anyone else judged to represent what the Nazis called "life unworthy of life." Once "quality of life" replaces the God ordained right to life as the criterion that assures the safety of the innocent, no one can live free of fear except those who are certain the shifting winds of popular esteem will never shift against them....

I just read a succinctly brilliant piece by Tom Sowell on the insidious delusion involved in the false promise of "universal health care." As he so often does, he captures the essential heart of the matter in a few pithy observations. "If everything that is wrong with the world becomes a reason to turn more power over to some political savior, then freedom is going to erode away, while we are mindlessly repeating the catchwords of the hour…" "Ultimately, our choice is to give up Utopian quests or give up our freedom….If you think government should "do something" about anything...

[AIPNEWS Editor's note: The following are notes compiled by AIP of North Carolina's Helen Moore. Her quotes of Dr. Keyes are not verbatim quotes. However, we think this information should be read and digested by every American. The future of liberty in this country hangs in the balance. Access to the Alan Keyes' webinars referenced here can be found at his LoyaltoLiberty.com site.] ----------- The Healthcare Reform which the current administration is trying to ram through is really a very serious matter. This is an issue we all should be very informed about and be sure to communicate our thoughts...

I haven't heard anything about it in awhile, but I thought that I heard that after a debate between Keyes and Obama, Keyes asked Obama if he had a birth certificate. Obama replied that it wouldn't be an issue, because he doesn't need to be a natural born citizen to be a senator. The audio was removed from the internet also. Does anyone remember this?

According to an AP story, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Health Director with the Hawaii State Department of Health, has issued a new statement seeking to "stem a recent surge in the number of inquiries about Obama's birthplace." "I…have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen….I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issue in October 2008, over eight months ago." AP asserts that "Fukino issued a similar press release Oct. 31." However, in his statement in October Fukino said "I…have personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obama's original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures." The original statement said nothing about the content of the birth record. The new statement therefore goes significantly farther than the original statement in October, though both the AP story and Fukino himself give the deceptive impression that it does not. Given this evident obfuscation, why should I or anyone else simply take Fukino's words at face value?

Well, surely this will settle finally once and for all that Barack Hussein Obama was really, actually and factually born in the United States and, therefore, is fully qualified according to the U.S. Constitution to be the president that he has been since he took the oath of office on Jan. 20 and a second time shortly after, just to make sure. Not! In yet another quite possibly futile attempt to silence the zombie birther controversy that won't die,

Researching the Obama birth certificate conspiracy has yielded many theories and wild speculations. Despite the likelihood that most of them are without merit, the one haunting theme i: what is Obama hiding? The forged birth certificate that appeared on Obama’s campaign site has spawned new curiosities, theories and demands to know where in the world is Barack Obama’s birth certificate. Is it in Kenya, Hawaii, Chicago, and Indonesia? We believe the Certification of Live Birth is authentic, but that is not that part where it gets tricky with parsing of words and comparing apples to oranges. The document provided by...

Though now scrubbed from the Boston Globe website where it was originally posted, what appears to be a .pdf copy of the incident report (#9005127) filed by the officer involved in the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Gates is available online. Before being swept up in the indignant frenzy being whipped up over this supposed outrage, it's worth perusing.

Alex Koppelman is a must-read on the subject of Lou Dobbs, and his decision to trust the incredibly strange, discredited conspiracy theories of people like Orly Taitz over the word of the government of Hawaii. When he brought Keyes and Taitz on his show, he mentioned that he’d asked Taitz, off-air, whether the release of a long form birth certificate would satisfy her. “She said no,” Dobbs told his audience, and then directed the question to her again. “Both parents have to be citizens in order to satisfy the requirements of natural-born citizen,” Taitz responded. In other words, for the...

"Could we," I said, "somehow contrive one of those lies that come into being in case of need, of which we were just now speaking, some one noble lie to persuade, in the best case, even the rulers, but if not them, the rest of the city? ... I'll attempt to persuade first the rulers and the soldiers, then the rest of the city, that the rearing and education we gave them were like dreams, they only thought they were undergoing all that was happening to them, while, in truth, at that time, they were under the earth within, being...

Alan Keyes just sent out Twitter message-will be on Lou Dobbs Radio at 2:30 PM (don't know the time zone) this afternoon to talk about Obama's eligibility. I think this is pretty big. MSM starting to pick up on this.

In what ultimately could prove to be a turning point in the legal challenges to Barack Obama's eligibility to be president, a federal judge in California has planned a hearing on the merits of a federal court case raising those questions. According to attorney Orly Taitz, who is working on multiple cases alleging Obama is a "usurper" because he doesn't meet the constitutional requirement that only a "natural born citizen" can be president, U.S. District Judge David O. Carter ruled in a hearing today that her case will move forward. (READ MORE AT LINK)

In light of the comments and responses to my WND piece on Sarah Palin's resignation, I think some further observations and reflections are in order. First it's important to remind everyone that I have never accepted the notion that Palin somehow represents adherence to the moral principles of republican, constitutional government. In a WND article right after McCain selected her as his running mate (Gov. Sarah Palin: Unequally yoked), I gave the reasons why. Later, when Charles Gibson asked her about Roe v. Wade she declared "I think that states should be able to decide that issue." In reaction, I...

For we may well be guided by those fundamental principles of justice which I laid down at the outset: first, that no harm be done to anyone; second, that the common interests be conserved. When these are modified under changed circumstances, moral duty also undergoes a change, and it does not always remain the same. For a given promise or agreement may turn out in such a way that its performance will prove detrimental either to the one to whom the promise has been made or to the one who has made it. – Cicero, De Officiis I. x. In...

UPI Photo/Roger L. Wollenberg/File A judge in California has scheduled a July 13 hearing in a case challenging Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president in which the plaintiffs’ attorney, Orly Taitz, says the commander-in-chief is in default.Taitz told WND if her motion is granted she will immediately request access to Obama’s birth records and other documentation that could determine his eligibility to occupy the Oval Office. The announcement came from U.S. District Judge David O. Carter, who said: “Before the court is a motion by plaintiffs for reconsideration of order to show cause or in the alternative to certify...

St. Charles County Council chairman Joe Brazil says he may introduce a council resolution that asks for the county prosecutor or the state of Missouri to examine whether President Barack Obama is eligible to hold his office. Brazil said Wednesday that he found "absolutely credible'' the assertions of California dentist and lawyer Orly Taitz, who contends that Obama is not a U.S. citizen and therefore ineligible to be president. Brazil was among 40 people who showed up at the Vision Library in St. Charles to listen to Taitz, who spent almost two hours Wednesday outlining her allegations that Obama was...

Hundreds protest taxesKeyes urges residents upset about government's path to spill some TEA at party By Craig Peters Last Modified: Sunday, July 5, 2009 at 1:02 a.m. Several hundred people filed into Boiling Springs Community Park Saturday for a Fourth of July TEA Party and picnic. Michael Brady, one of the event's lead organizers, took the stage in period attire of founding father Thomas Paine. Brady told attendees the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) party movement across the country is a "protest against the overreaching of our government." "I'm not calling anyone to arms … yet," Brady said. He received cheers...

This weekend I'm heading for Boiling Springs, S.C., to join one of the many TEA party events that will be taking place around the country July 4. I received inquiries and interest from people involved in several of the events that are taking place; so why Boiling Springs? Because organizers there did not try to discourage me from presenting what I believe to be the true and essential message about the crisis the United States now faces. I believe it's a crisis that goes beyond Obama and his determination to drive America over the cliff of socialist self-destruction. It goes...

JEFFERSON CITY — Two Missouri state representatives today attended meetings conducted by Orly Taitz in which the California dentist questioned the validity of the presidency of Barack Obama. Taitz alleges that Obama’s birth certificate is illegitimate, and even if it’s not, she says, he can’t be president because his father was Kenyan. She pushed her conspiracy theories and asked for money today at events in St. Charles and Jefferson City. Taitz said the Supreme Court is complicit in “illegal activity” for blocking her attempts to remove Obama from the presidency. Rep. Cynthia Davis, R- O’Fallon, who has gotten a bit...

People who really care about the moral crisis of our country should look with suspicion on those who seek to prove the sincerity of their moral leadership by anguishing over the personal transgressions of individual politicians like Mark Sanford, while ignoring the promotion of evil on a massive public scale through legal assertion of so-called "abortion rights" and legalized marriage for homosexuals. From obvious political motives, such people show more concern about the personal sins of individual politicians than they do about the immoral policies that are destroying our way of life. Gov. Mark Sanford, prey to the weakness that...

Once again the Obama faction insults the historical heritage of the United States, and once again present day so-called Republicans (unworthy of the name) not only let them get away with it, they cravenly join in. The Senate has now joined the House of Representatives in a vote purporting to apologize for slavery. Apparently, the current generation of sorry politicos is too ignorant, too stupidly self-righteous or too blatantly manipulative to remember the little episode in American history called the Civil War. As far as they are concerned Lincoln spoke in vain at Gettysburg when he honored the sacrifice of...

Now I can safely cheer up. Senator John Thune (R-SD) has introduced a bill he calls the "Government Ownership Exit Plan Act of 2009." At the site he has established to promote public support for the bill, he explains its purpose. "The government has taken unprecedented actions over the past 15 months to stabilize the economy, including taking direct ownership stakes in private companies. This creates a dangerous conflict of interest between the federal government and the private sector. The government shouldn't be an owner of companies it regulates in the private marketplace." The bill aims to prevent further government...

Exclusive: Alan Keyes warns how current path is incompatible with limited government Apparently the mayor of Shreveport, La., Cedric Glover, believes that when a police officer stops someone for whatever reason, that citizen's rights are suspended. He said so in a telephone conversation with a concerned citizen. In normal times, this kind of statement could be dismissed as fodder for a comedy bit on "The Tonight Show." Unhappily, given the rapid pace of the Obama faction's socialist transformation of America, the mayor may simply have articulated the understanding of rights characteristic of societies that have already undergone the transformation. I...

Birth of an Obsession With her strong will, busy travel schedule and breathless blogging, Laguna Niguel dentist Orly Taitz has become the most controversial figure in the effort to prove that President Barack Obama is foreign-born Before she addressed the chief justice of the Supreme Court of the United States on March 13, Dr. Orly Taitz thought about his son and her sons and nearly started to cry. This was after she had woken up at 3 a.m., headed to Kinko’s in Laguna Niguel, photocopied hundreds of pages, gotten on Interstate 5 heading south, answered questions on her cell phone...

By now many people not sold out to the Obama faction (including people carried along by deceitful media hype who voted for him) have realized its baneful intention to abandon our national heritage, our Constitutional republic, our free enterprise economy, indeed our entire way of life as a free people. People who not long ago shunned and even ridiculed people like me for clearly speaking out about this intention are now decrying the surrender to socialism and accepting descriptive terms like "neo-communist" that suggest the Obama faction's ultimate goal: the establishment of a better-dressed, more astutely implemented version of Soviet-style...

EXTRA! EXTRA! Breaking News From Rush Limbaugh's Radio Program! I just heard Rush say: "Obama has one thing in common with God. Do you know what it is? GOD DOES NOT HAVE A BIRTH CERTIFICATE EITHER." (emphasis added) He said again, "Neither Obama or God have a birth certificate." Is this not a first from the self-annointed talk-radio "leader"? Is this the first time Rush opened up this topic? By the way, Mr. Limbaugh, the real problem is what does his actual, long-form b.c. LOOK LIKE. Could the relentless pressure from people like patriot Dr. Alan Keyes be influencing others...

NEW YORK (ABP) -- A former Southern Baptist Convention officer who on June 2 called the death of abortion provider George Tiller an answer to prayer said later in the day he is also praying "imprecatory prayer" against President Obama. Wiley Drake, pastor of First Southern Baptist Church in Buena Park, Calif., and former running mate of American Independent Party presidential candidate Alan Keyes, said June 2 on Fox News Radio he didn't understand why people were upset with his comments quoted by Associated Baptist Press from a webcast of his daily radio talk show. "Imprecatory prayer is agreeing with...

Loyal to Liberty The tragic irony intensifies. Barack Obama's election supposedly represented an historic breakthrough in the struggle for justice and human rights in America. The success of that struggle depended on respect for the principles of the American Declaration of Independence, the Constitutional sovereignty of the American people, and Constitutionally secured civil rights of all individuals in the United States. Yet every day brings reports of some new travesty signaling hostility to those principles, the abandonment of the Constitution, and the end of respect for those rights. Along with securing their persons and property against abuses of government power,...

Of George Tiller's soul, God is now the judge; though I have no doubt that from a human perspective his enthusiastic practice of child murder for profit will forever deserve our unequivocal condemnation. This of course implies no approval of the apparently deranged act that took his life. The aim of all authentic pro-life people is to restore respect for innocent human life. We rightly condemn and lament an action that harms the good we seek to achieve.

In every important respect Obama's victory in the 2008 presidential election was a victory for racism. First there was the racist claim that his skin color made his election somehow significant for black Americans with whom he otherwise shares no common moral or historical heritage. Second, his stubborn advocacy of the parent's right to murder her child made it a victory in principle for the racist notion that "inferior" physical development leaves people with no rights that must be respected by their supposed betters. Third, the US Constitution has been openly set aside on account of fears that racist violence...

A friend recently forwarded me a link to Anne Coulter's latest column with the following comment: "Anne's Coulter's latest column is entitled: "Notre Dame Holds First Alan Keyes Fundraiser" Here is a multiple choice test: Anne Coulter uses Alan Keyes' name to a. piggyback off of Dr. Keyes' fame and courage in order to get people to read her column (Dr. Keyes is never even mentioned in the body of the article) b. give herself credibility by creating the appearance of being on the same side of the abortion issue as Dr. Keyes c. to distract readers from realizing that...

The 20th century could well be called the century of Holocaust. I think it had something to do with the powerful assertion of godless self-sufficiency that characterized its most deadly and infamous ideologies. The communists, the fascists, the Nazis all have this in common: that they fancy themselves creators of new worlds of human possibility, willing servants of a fantasy in which the future, wrought by human hands, will advance beyond God's limited vision of human nature to birth before the universe the superman, the everlasting Reich, the workers' paradise, the endlessly perfected revolution of hope, change and unimpeded progress....

NOTRE DAME HOLDS FIRST ALAN KEYES FUNDRAISERMay 20, 2009How about for next year's graduation ceremony Notre Dame have an abortionist perform an abortion live on stage? They could have a partial-birth abortion for the advanced degrees. According to liberals, the right to kill babies was enshrined by the Founding Fathers in our Constitution -- and other constitutional rights are celebrated in public. The right to bear arms is honored in 21-gun salutes, turkey shoots, Civil War re-enactments, firearms demonstrations and, occasionally, at Phil Spector's house. The right to petition the government for redress of grievances is celebrated at political rallies,...

This video is well worth watching! It was taken by well-known pro-life activist and blogger Jill Stanek from a CBR Truth Truck (driven by AIP of Florida Vice-Chairman Carl Bibeau). What you'll see is mile after mile of pro-lifers lining all of the approaches to Notre Dame University yesterday as the supposedly Catholic Institution of Higher Learning proved itself to be nothing of the sort. If the modern conservative movement has a patron saint, it’s Oscar Mayer. I recently attended a conference to address media bias. Present were representatives of several DC-based conservative groups. Some were hesitant about a counterattack on the mainstream media. Why bite the hand that bashes you? How can we expect them to work with us, if we begin by assailing them, they plaintively inquired? For a minute, I thought I’d wandered into the recovery room for male pups who’ve been clear-cut. Conservatives working with the liberal media? Swell idea! It would be like the Chief Rabbi of Berlin working with...

Letter to Fr. David Tyson, Superior to Fr. Jenkins From Dr. Alan Keyes …no man is with us, see, God is witness betwixt me and thee. (Genesis 31:50) But Peter and John answered and said unto them, whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. (Acts 4:19) Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?
