Michigan held its primary elections last week and it was great fun to watch. In the governor's race, the Democrats put up Larry, Moe and Curly. Curly won. One of the Democratic candidates for governor was former governor James Blanchard, who did a lousy job as governor last time and then couldn't find a job. Clinton felt sorry for him and made him ambassador to Canada. But, Blanchard wanted more out of life and so took a position as a lobbyist. <p>Jennifer Granholm wrapped up the Democratic nomination for governor Tuesday, according to exit polling.</p> <p>Propelled by voters who decided months ago to support her and never changed their mind, Granholm led her two opponents by a large margin, the Detroit Free Press/WXYZ exit poll showed.</p>

In her own words. . . A July 15, 2001, article in the Detroit News quoted Jim Blanchard (another pro-abortion candidate for governor) as questioning Granholm's position on abortion. Later in the article, Granholm is quoted saying,#147;It's a shame that Jim Blanchard is deliberately lying about my position.
