Al-Alam and Iran's Expanding Media Influence April 17, 2007 Iran Analytical Report Iran’s assertiveness goes well beyond military posturing and defiance of the West. The Islamic Republic is trying to win Muslim hearts and minds through its well-financed, expanding array of media outlets targeting the Middle East, Caucasus, and Central Asia. Tehran is attempting to counter the ‘global media stranglehold’ of the West and present its own view of world events. To the detriment of others, this retaliation seems to be making an impact. • 60 MIN II Special On Iranian TV

I just saw a 60 Min II special on a U.S. based Iranian TV Station based in California that is broadcasting into Iran. They helped organize the 9/11 U.S. support (candlelight vigil) two nights running in which the Iranians were beaten for their support. They make fun of the Mullahs and are also helping to organize and support the resistance in Iran, but they need our help. They get no government funding (go figure the one place it would be useful) and are a donation and subscription based group. So I plan to donate and hope you’ all will to.
