COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa -- Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton both have rallies scheduled in the state of Iowa this week. Trump will instead hold a rally at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs Wednesday after his campaign initially set up the event in Ottumwa, but his plane was too big to land at the smaller airport. The rally is set for 2:30 p.m. Clinton is scheduled to be in Des Moines on Thursday where she'll hold a rally at Cowles Commons at 12:30 p.m. The visit coincides with the first day of early voting in Iowa.

Donald Trump now leads in polling in swing states Virginia, Florida and Iowa. All of the Iowa polls the last few weeks have shown Trump with a significant lead in the Hawkeye state. Trump is also up in Ohio, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

Ottumwa, Iowa — An Ottumwa teen accused of sexually assaulting a toddler won't do any jail time. In July, Kraigen Grooms, 19, pleaded guilty to one county of Engaging in a Lascivious Act with a Child. Wapello County Attorney Gary Oldenburger told KTVO that Grooms, aka Kraigen Simmers, was sentenced on that charge on Monday. Grooms received a 10-year suspended sentence and five years of supervised release. He will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
