WASHINGTON — So that’s how you land an exclusive interview with President Obama. Employees of Amazon, which scored a coup by securing a rare one-on-one interview with the president for its journalism outlet Tuesday, donated more than $116,000 to Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign, according to data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics. That’s more than four times as much as the roughly $25,000 that the Internet giant’s workers gave to Republican challenger Mitt Romney. Obama and Amazon also have a business relationship. Not only does Amazon peddle Obama’s books, but its Amazon Web Services helped build the high-tech data...

John King reported this morning that a reporter from CNN was able to interview a lead suspect in the Benghazi terror attack for two hours: The FBI has reportedly not been able to track-down the suspect, but CNN had no problem talking to him for two hours. "It is interesting," says King. "The FBI has put some photos up on its website of people of interest, but they haven't arrested anybody. And I'll tell you this: We've been working on a project here at CNN for a special due out later ... And Arwa Damon, our great correspondent, went back...

There is a bit of a hubbub in the interwebs about an interview conducted by Lauren Green, religion correspondent for Fox News Channel, with Reza Aslan, author of a new book on Jesus titled Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth. Our friend Joe Carter, over at GetReligion, has the basic story. Green launched the interview (available here in full) with a question about why a Muslim should want to write a book about Jesus. A reasonable question, and not a hostile one on its face–but by the end of the interview Green has returned to it in...

LAKE MARY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) - FOX 35's Valerie Boey had an opportunity to interview one of the four alternate jurors in the George Zimmerman murder trial. "I supported the verdict," said Juror E54. "I agree with it." As a condition of the interview, E54 asked that we not reveal his face or use his name. He expressed disappointment that he was not one of the six people who ultimately had a chance to discuss all of the evidence in the case and decide on a verdict. ‘I’m Gay and I Oppose Same-Sex Marriage” is the title of an article Doug Mainwaring wrote earlier this year. A tea-party activist in Maryland, he found out the hard way — through the eyes of his kids — that children really do flourish with both a mother and a father active in their daily lives. “To be fully formed, children need to be free to generously receive from and express affection to parents of both genders. Genderless marriages deny this fullness,” he wrote. Mainwaring talks with National Review Online’s Kathryn Jean Lopez about last week’s Supreme Court decisions and the...

You aced the interview, your résumé sings, but in the end, you didn't get the job. Chances are, you'll never know why. It is a painful conundrum of the job search process: Rejected candidates want to understand why they didn't get hired, but employers, fearing discrimination complaints, keep silent. And those who do speak up offer little more than platitudes. Without specifics, candidates are left to repeat the same mistakes, while hiring managers complain they're swamped with applicants who miss the mark. "You don't know how to adjust going forward," says technology professional Lisa Roberson. When she wasn't selected for...

Almost every day, the website Reddit has someone either on television, the radio, or garnered their fame from the internet answer questions. These are called "AMAs," or "Ask Me Anything," and are considered interviews and the people asking questions are actual users of the site. Several days ago, noted liar and obese man Michael Moore participated in an AMA. Though Reddit is well known to have a liberal bias in most of its "subreddits," Moore did not have an easy time answering questions. Dozens of Redditors voiced their disapproval by openly mocking the supposed "documentary" film-maker... In another instance, Moore...

“Hi,” she says, striding into the room with a smooth gait and a low, sure voice. “I’m Chelsea!” The handshake is confident, the eyes firmly fixed. With the ease of her father and the directness of her mother, Chelsea Clinton is stepping out into the world. At 33, she wears her political royalty in triplicate: There are her famous parents, of course, but also her mother-in-law, former Pennsylvania congresswoman Marjorie Margolies. After several years in the private sector (with McKinsey & Company, then with a hedge fund), Clinton has emerged onto the civic stage in her own right, graceful and...

The following is a transcript of an interview between an atheist American journalist and then-Cardinal Bergolio. It is clear why the interview was never broadcast. In it, Cardinal Bergoglio makes mincemeat of the typical leftist interview techniques of so many people in the broadcast media. CAMERA ON / BEGIN TRANSCRIPT REPORTER: Welcome Cardinal. BERGOGLIO: Thank you. Happy to speak with you. REPORTER: Well, let me get into it directly. Last conclave, you were almost elected Pope. Can this happen again? BERGOGLIO: What? That I will almost be the Pope, again? REPORTER: No. Will you be the next Pope? BERGOGLIO: Friend,...

This week on Uncommon Knowledge, US senator Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) discusses his first two months in office and his vision for the Republican Party. (36:13) “I think the biggest divide is not even a divide between Republicans and Democrats; it's a divide between the people. And [between] the entrenched elites in Washington that are growing their own power. And I think there is an incredible desire to get back to commonsense conservative principles.”

President Obama will give a live interview to CBS before it airs the Super Bowl on Sunday. At 4:30 pm, Obama will field questions from CBS´s Scott Pelley, continuing a long-standing tradition of providing interviews to the network airing the NFL championship, usually the most-watched television event of the year. Last year, Obama spoke with Matt Lauer before NBC broadcast the big game. Pelley told The New Orleans Times-Picayune that he will talk pigskin with the president, but also has a range of "serious questions" to tackle.
