Carly Fiorina‘s Facebook fans may be disappointed that the former Hewlett-Packard CEO didn’t make the cut for the Republican primetime debate Thursday. But her online loyalists do have a modest consolation: They win the prize for best grammar, spelling and punctuation among the major candidates’ backers. Who fares worst? Fans of frontrunner Donald Trump, who is at the top of the polls and has also dominated social-media discussions. That’s based on analysis from automated-proofreading company Grammarly, which evaluated the supporters of the 2016 Republican presidential candidates.

“Profound,” “trusted,” “insightful,” “invaluable patriot,” “too cool to be spun.” These are just some of the over-the-top bouquets members of the so-called serious news media have thrown Jon Stewart’s way in the last few days of his run as anchor of The Daily Show. Of course this “trusted source in news” overwhelmingly skewered some of the liberal media’s favorite conservative targets. Over the years Stewart has used his Daily Show perch to mock Dick Cheney’s “torture boner,” called conservative columnist Robert Novak a “vampire demon,” and yelled “Go f*** yourself!” at Bernie Goldberg, Republican Senator Jeff Sessions and Fox News....

Somebody extremely creative made a Twitter account for Dr. Mengele and he/she is trolling abortion proponents hard!

How absolutely serendipitous it is that alleged comedian and actual White House propagandist Jon Stewart’s last broadcast of The Daily Show is today, August 6, the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan. You see, Stewart, whose influence is especially nefarious when he is revising and distorting history for his relatively young audience, committed his most outrageous such act when, in a 2009 interview with Cliff May, he agreed that U.S. President Harry S. Truman should be considered a "war criminal" for approving that horrific but necessary bombing mission. Here, for context, is the relevant eight-minute segment: CLIFF...

Auschwitz commandant outraged over Mengele video Rudolph Hoess, family man and commandant of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, has been desperately trying to restore the camp's reputation after some damaging remarks by one of its doctors, Joseph Mengele, were caught on tape and posted online. Dr. Mengele, who oversees medical services at the camp, was recorded casually speaking of a girl who was suffering complications as a result of HitlerCare. The girl, Eva Mozes Kor, complained of fever, trembling, and swollen limbs that resulted from a series of five free government-funded injections. Mengele is seen on the tape laughing off the...

Controversial Donald Trump adviser Roger Stone is at again and this time he’s provoked Geraldo Rivera into threatening physical assault against him. The Fox News host promised to kick Stone’s “racist ass” today after Stone decided to pick a fight with CNN contributor Ana Navarro, a Latina, and former CNN contributor Roland Martin, an African-American, recently tweeting that both political pundits were “quota hires”: Rivera, a former “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant, quickly jumped to the defense of Navarro and Martin and urged Trump to dump Stone, whom he described as a “thug” Stone quickly shot back, calling him “pathetic” and a...

Sen. Lindsey Graham says he's confident he can win the Republican presidential primaries in New Hampshire and his home state of South Carolina, two of the first voting states in the nomination contest. "I wouldn't be running in New Hampshire if I thought I couldn't win in New Hampshire," he said. "It will be good for the party to have my voice." Sen. John McCain, Graham's friend and colleague and a two-time New Hampshire primary winner, agrees. He joined Graham on Saturday for a full day of events, including a town hall meeting in Manchester

The renewed national scrutiny of the Confederate flag has officials again considering changing the name of Utah’s Negro Bill Canyon, though the title that some find offensive is a point of historical pride for others. Grand County Councilwoman Mary McGann said the name of the picturesque canyon in southern Utah is outdated at best. “We should evolve,” she said Wednesday.

Josh Earnest continues to make it clear this week that not only has he not watched the undercover videos of Planned Parenthood, but that in fact he is taking Planned Parenthood's word for it that they reveal noting and are simply fraudulent. In the Digitas video above, you can see clips from both Friday's and Thursdays briefings where Earnest plainly admits the White House is using the organization's talking points. Apparently the alleged criminal sale of baby body parts does not rise to the level of "merits our attention" at Obama's White House. That wasn't the only thing that...

GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump disputed claims from a female lawyer who said he called her "disgusting" when she asked to take a break to breast-pump during a 2011 deposition. Over in Williamson County, Tennessee — just north of my home — prosecutors actually filed a motion asking the court to order a defense attorney to stop calling them “the government” in open court. Yes, that’s right — in my home state, it’s apparently now a slur to call the government by its name. In its motion, prosecutors claimed: “The State has noticed in the past few years that it has become commonplace during trials for attorneys for defendants, and especially Mr. Justice, to refer to State’s attorneys as ‘the Government,’ ” [prosecutors wrote.] “The State believes that such a...

In part one of our three-day conversation with Camille Paglia, the brilliant cultural critic talked Bill Cosby, Bill Clinton and the odd, persistent return of ’90s political correctness. Today she takes on even hotter-button topics: Religion and atheism, Jon Stewart’s “Daily Show” legacy, liberals and Fox News, and presidential candidates Donald Trump and Sen. Bernie Sanders.

I always knew "The Simpsons" was a show ahead of its time. But, not even I remembered that the show had predicted the idea of President Donald Trump way back in 2000. The Simpsons predicted President Trump in 2000 That scene, as loyal Simpsons fans like myself remember, comes from an episode called "Bart to the Future" in which the show jumps ahead 30 years (to 2030) and imagines what each of the main characters will be doing. Lisa Simpson has just been elected president, following Trump's tenure in office.
