The Washington Free Beacon reports that a senior Muslim Brotherhood official who, until fairly recently, was employed by the William J. Clinton Foundation, was arrested in Cairo on Tuesday and charged with inciting violence. The official, Gehad el-Haddad, had been serving as one of the Muslim Brotherhood’s top communications officials. Gehad el-Haddad served as one of the Muslim Brotherhood’s top communications officials until Egyptian security forces seized him as part of a wider crackdown on officials loyal to ousted former President Mohamed Morsi. Before emerging as a top Brotherhood official and adviser to Morsi, el-Haddad served for five years as a top official at the Clinton Foundation, a nonprofit group founded by former President Bill Clinton.

Anthony Weiner’s sexting scandal may have cooled down for now, but his wife, Huma Abedin, a longtime aide and confidante of former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, is facing a growing chorus of critics of her own. When Ms. Abedin was still a part-time employee with the State Department, she also had three consulting jobs.
