A Miriam Cahn painting at Paris’s Palais de Tokyo that incited outrage in France after many claimed it represented pedophilia can stay on view, France’s Council of State said on Friday. The council’s ruling affirmed a prior decision that a lower court had made in March. The legal matter continued, however, after several children’s rights groups appealed it, forcing a higher court to look once more at the case. Cahn’s painting, titled XXXX abstraction !, appears in her current survey at the Palais de Tokyo, one of the largest solo presentations of her work to date. Her paintings are widely...

In a town hall meeting on Monday, CEO Bob Chapek said the entertainment behemoth would put together a task force to ensure that more LGBTQ-awareness content is available for children. On Friday, reports emerged that Disney was reinstating a kissing scene between two women in the upcoming 'Toy Story' spinoff 'Lightyear' - after Pixar employees accused the parent company of cutting gay characters from films.

President Joe Biden said on the fifth anniversary of a mass shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando that he will sign a bill naming the site as a national memorial. The deadliest attack on the LGBTQ community in U.S. history left 49 people dead and 53 people wounded as “Latin Night” was being celebrated at the club. Biden said in a statement Saturday that he has “stayed in touch with families of the victims and with the survivors who have turned their pain into purpose" and described the club as “hallowed ground.” The president emphasized that the country must...

An engaged couple in Missouri say they’re shocked and saddened after a restaurant in St. Charles County refused to host their rehearsal dinner upon learning they were in a same-sex relationship. Kendall Brown told KMOV she had reached out to Madison’s Café in O’Fallon about booking dinner ahead of her wedding to Mindy Rackley on June 15, but claims she was told the restaurant couldn’t “condone” the brides-to-be’s nuptials.
  • Trump’s Plan to Decriminalize Homosexuality Is an Old Racist Tactic

The Trump administration is set to launch a global campaign to decriminalize homosexuality in dozens of nations where anti-gay laws are still on the books, NBC News reported Monday. While on its surface, the move looks like an atypically benevolent decision by the Trump administration, the details of the campaign belie a different story. Rather than actually being about helping queer people around the world, the campaign looks more like another instance of the right using queer people as a pawn to amass power and enact its own agenda. It almost goes without saying but the Trump administration does not...

There’s a language fight brewing with the LGBT lobby over the new trilateral agreement, and — what a surprise — it looks like far-left Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is behind it. The Hill reports that a group of 38 GOP lawmakers has sent a letter to President Trump over proposed trade deal language meant to prevent sex discrimination. The problem is that the language equates “sexual orientation and gender identity” (SOGI) with sex. “A trade agreement is no place for the adoption of social policy,” congressmen explained in a the letter dated November 16. “It is especially inappropriate and...

A Massachusetts bill that recommended teaching children as young as 12 about oral and anal sex failed in the state House last week amid growing public outrage. The College Fix reports state Senate Bill 2128 passed the state Senate but died in the House last week when the legislative session ended. The bill seemed harmless enough at first. It would have required public schools to provide “comprehensive” sex education that is medically accurate and age-appropriate. This included “the benefits of abstinence and delaying sexual activity” and “the effective use of contraceptives and barrier methods.” However, Andrew Beckwith, president of the...

he Supreme Court has turned away appeals from five states seeking to prohibit same-sex marriages, paving the way for an immediate expansion of gay and lesbian unions. The justices on Monday did not comment in rejecting appeals from Indiana, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. The court's order immediately ends delays on marriage in those states. Couples in six other states should be able to get married in short order. That would make same-sex marriage legal in 30 states and the District of Columbia. But the justices have left unresolved for now the question of same-sex marriage nationwide.

A New Jersey waitress who raked in thousands in donations after claiming a couple didn’t tip her because she’s gay was fired from her job on Saturday. Dayna Morales, 22, was finally canned from Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater — nearly a month after she made national headlines over what’s likely a hoax. (snip) “She exaggerated every story,” former coworker Julie Howat told The Post. “I knew [the receipt] was fake. When the articles came out, everyone at my job laughed.”

As reported at the Gateway Pundit, moments after the DOMA ruling in the Prop 8 case, Sandy Steir promised "to keep pushing until gay marriage is legal in all states..." "[Steir]: "...we thank the Justices for letting us get married in California. But that's not enough. It's gotta go nationwide. And we can't wait for that day."" Now my take: While the polls may show a shift concerning same-sex marriage, only a few states have legalized same-sex marriage. The questions now are: 1.) How many of the members of Congress still around from the June 7, 2006 Senate vote (concerning...

There are seven distinct ways the court could rule: If the merits are reached (meaning that the court decides the case meets the constitutional requirements to be adjudicated and a ruling released): The Nationwide Solutions: 1) The court could rule that Proposition 8 is constitutional. This would allow states to confine marriage to a union between a man and a woman. 2) The court could rule that it is a violation of the equal protections act of the 14th amendment to prevent same-sex couples from marrying. This would essentially legalize same-sex marriage in all 50 states. The 8 state solution:...
  • Chick-fil-A Vandal Manny Castro Probed by Police

A gay Los Angeles artist who's admitted to vandalizing a local Chick-fil-A eatery is being investigated by the police. Artist Manny Castro was so perturbed by CEO Dan Cathy's comment about gay marriage, he decided to take matters into his own hands. Castro Thursday scrawled the words "Tastes Like Hate" in huge lettering on the side of the Torrance restaurant. To his credit, the artist came forward to identify himself as the unknown vandal, but he should at least be forced to pay restitution for the cleanup. Why should the owner foot the bill? This week's Chick-fil-A hoopla has shown...

Is JC Penney trying to become GayC Penney, or is it just a smart marketer? Last year, the company announced that Ellen DeGeneres, who is openly gay, would be its latest spokesperson. On Mother’s Day, it featured a lesbian couple in one of its ads. And now, just in time for Father’s Day, the retail chain has issued another print ad, this one with real-life couple Todd Koch and Cooper Smith, and their two young children. The copy reads: “What makes Dad so cool? He’s the swim coach, tent maker, best friend, bike fixer and hug giver — all rolled...

ORLANDO, Fla. — Beginning on Tuesday, more than 150,000 people will be in Orlando for the annual Gay Days event. Eyewitness News learned that event organizers are expecting record crowds, and hotels are already booked solid. Gay Days started 20 years ago as a celebration of gay pride at Orlando's most famous theme park, but now it is an economic powerhouse that pumps significant money into local businesses. The Parliament House Resort and Night Club has been planning for the event since November. "We couldn't do it if we didn't start that early," said Drew Sizemore with the Parliament House...

SAO PAULO (AP) -- The city council of South America's biggest city has adopted legislation calling for a Heterosexual Pride Day to be celebrated on the third Sunday of each December. Sao Paulo Mayor Gilberto Kassab must sign the legislation for it to become law and has said only that he is studying it. His office declined Wednesday to say whether he supports the proposal.
