I asked for comments from veterans who may be able to tell me if my premise here is wrong. But, I am personally troubled by the willingness of the media to ignore what is possibly a most horrible and disgusting part of Hilary's Benghazi debacle.

Our country just went through a spectacle indicative of our government's operational dysfunction. Politics comes before the safety of our State Department personnel and the truth. There are a lot of takeaways from this event that have a lasting effect. Overview: This committee exists and these hearings were being held because 1) Our State Department personnel were left under-protected in the neighboring country to one where our embassy had just been assaulted and four of our fellow countrymen died. The latest batch of Hillary Clinton's private emails includes one that shows Clinton made an effort to help evacuate the acting Libyan prime minister from Benghazi amid a crumbling security situation. The email shows Clinton received a request for supplies to help the acting prime minister leave Benghazi and transition into Tripoli, the nation's capital. Clinton seemingly greenlighted his request, and asked her aide Huma Abedin if the U.S. government could ship the requested supplies to a Libyan port.

The New York Times' Maureen Dowd captured the moment last weekend when she referred to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as "the midwife to chaos" in Libya.
