The ousted head of Germany’s refugee agency was central to an unfolding asylum application fraud scandal, but firing her won’t fix core “structural problems” in the country’s migration system, a geopolitical analyst has told RT. After serving just 18 months as head of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), Jutta Cordt was fired this week by Interior Minister Horst Seehofer, after an internal review discovered that the agency’s branch in the city of Bremen had violated legal and internal regulations for the approval of asylum applications. The decision was quietly announced on Friday, and Rainer Rothfuss, a geopolitical...

Donald Trump took to Twitter on Monday to fire off two tweets about the “tenuous” state of politics in Germany. Not for the first time, he showed his ignorance of developments in German society. Trump waded into the political crisis facing Chancellor Angela Merkel, declaring that the German people were “turning against their leadership” over immigration. “We don’t want what is happening with immigration in Europe to happen with us!” he said in a pair of tweets. “The people of Germany are turning against their leadership as migration is rocking the already tenuous Berlin coalition,” he said, adding that “crime...

VALENCIA, Spain (Reuters) - A migrant rescue boat turned away by Italy and Malta arrived at the Spanish port of Valencia on Sunday, ending a gruelling voyage which has made it a symbol of Europe's failure to agree on immigration. Spain swooped to help 629 mainly sub-Saharan Africans on board the Aquarius last week after Italy's new government, asserting its anti-immigrant credentials, refused to let it dock. Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who took office two weeks ago, took the opportunity to show a more liberal stance. But the plight of the Aquarius, run by Doctors Without Borders (MSF) with...

A Swiss centre for processing failed asylum seekers had claimed to have lost track of 60 percent of the 649 migrants awaiting deportation who they say have simply disappeared. From March of 2017 to June of this year 649 failed asylum seekers have been sent to the Embrach referral centre located in the canton of Zurich, but officials say that 309 of the failed migrants have simply disappeared and authorities have little to no idea where they may have gone, 20 minutes reports. The centre is meant to be the final step for failed asylum seekers before they find out...

But not everyone in Spain is happy about their new socialist government’s eagerness to allow masses of Muslim welfare migrants into the country. They haven’t forgotten the disaster that Muslim rule in Spain for 700 years caused. And just as Libya’s assassinated leader, Muammar Gaddafi, predicted if he were to be ousted, Europe would turn black and Muslim within 50 years.

As Chancellor Angela Merkel fights to save her government in a heated battle over immigration, an opinion poll Friday showed most Germans support the tougher line of her rebel interior minister. The survey found that 62 percent of respondents were in favor of turning back undocumented migrants at the border, in line with the stance of Interior Minister Horst Seehofer, who is openly challenging Merkel. And 86 percent want faster deportations of rejected asylum seekers, a process now often held up by bureaucratic hurdles and legal challenges, according to the Infratest dimap poll. The survey turns up the pressure on...

The 583 delegates of Die Linke (The Left) voted on Saturday in Leipzig in favor of the party executive’s motion which included its refugee policy. The party has a formal commitment for all who are looking for protection in Germany not to be turned away. The divisions within the party...

Germany is set to miss its 2020 greenhouse gas emissions target by 8 percent, according to German weekly magazine Der Spiegel. The German government set itself the goal of reducing national greenhouse gas emissions until 2020 by 40 percent compared to 1990 levels, but a draft government report estimates that the country will only be able to reduce emissions by 32 percent. Officials had previously estimated a shortfall of 5 percent to 8 percent. The document blames “unexpected economic developments and unexpected population growth” for the failure to meet the target. Increased economic activity and strong population growth generally cause...

Population transfer is under way in Europe, partly to help speculators like US financier George Soros make money by “destroying” the continent, Hungary’s Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, said on Friday. It is necessary to openly fight Soros and his “army” and to establish that they want immigration and their ideological motivation is a multicultural Europe, Orban told Kossuth Radio. “They do not like the traditions of Christian Europe and they believe that if they mix us with other peoples, then Europe will be more liveable. They want to destroy Europe because they expect large profits; that’s just the nature of...

England is in the midst of a crime wave. It is also in the midst of a cultural war that sees the country verging on fascism. British girls are being raped on an "industrial scale." In addition to being abused in various locations in Oxford, some of the girls were taken to other towns and cities such as London and Bournemouth for the same purpose." — Oxfordshire Serious Case Review."I turned up at the police station...
