  • 3-D Metal Printing Gaining Traction

Small metal injection molded (MIM) parts are common in firearms, but the decades-old process for lower-pressure components may be short-lived if the latest figures from 3DEO are any indication. The Los Angeles-based company, which specializes in high-volume metal 3D printing technology, experienced 600-percent growth in revenue from 2019 to 2020, with orders increasing 394 percent during the same period and staff increasing by 172 percent to meet that demand. It now has 25 engineers working on research and development. 3DEO is barely four years old, and although its products are usually taken for granted by most enthusiasts, firearm manufactures have...
  • Where are all the guns and ammo purchased under Obama?

During the last two years of the Obama administration, some unusual purchases were made. Large quantities of ammunition were purchased, as were firearms, mostly for somewhat obscure agencies or agencies with no real need for such weaponry. Estimates are that over 1 billion rounds of ammunition were ordered, which resulted in making ammunition scarce for the normal civilian market. Also significant was Obama's troublesome statement made during his campaign, as follows: We cannot continue to rely only on our military ... we've got to have a civilian security force just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded. We cannot...
  • SCOTUS Gun Case Denials Signal Conservative Justices Don’t Trust Roberts With The Second Amendment

The fact that four justices who complained that the court needed to hear Second Amendment cases passed on 10 chances to do so tells us much about the courtÂ’s 'swing vote.' The U.S. Supreme CourtÂ’s decision to pass on nearly a dozen gun-rights-related cases is breathtaking, not in the denial of hearing any, but in the seeming admission that the conservative associate justices think Chief Justice John Roberts canÂ’t be trusted to protect the Bill of Rights. The nationÂ’s top court denied writ of certiorari to 10 cases. The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the firearm industry trade association, submitted amicus curiae...

A furious, gun-toting Texas man shot another man’s car after he mistakenly drove onto his driveway — and threatened to blast the startled driver in the “-–king head,” wild video shows. Michael Alan Truelock, 50, of Honey Grove, faces up to 20 years in prison on a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the July 2019 encounter in Fannin County, where he’s due back in court next month. A newly released 45-second clip shows the heated encounter between Truelock and Charles Landers, who was looking for a place to fish as he drove along a roadway...

When it comes to who is the better shooter and why, men or women, the iconic Irving Berlin duet from Annie Get Your Gun immediately springs to mind. “Anything you can do I can do better! I can do anything better than you” is sung while Annie Oakley and Frank Butler prepare for the climactic sharpshooting contest in the classic Broadway musical. For an object as functionally gender-neutral as a gun, why is it that each of the sexes assumes they are better adept at mastering it? Any quality instructor will tell you the real weapon is not the gun....

The Supreme Court on Monday said it will not hear appeals of a slew of cases involving gun laws, dealing a blow to Second Amendment activists who seek to expand the rights of gun owners. In an order released Monday morning, the court denied petitions for appeals of 10 cases. ... Thomas, in a written dissent Monday, took issue with his colleagues on the Supreme Court rejecting the appeal of a New Jersey business owner, Thomas Rogers, who was challenging his state’s requirement that a person show “justifiable need” before being issued a handgun permit. Rogers services automatic teller machines...

A social worker and an abortionist won't do you much good when an armed intruder is breaking into your home in the night — and if Democrats had their way, you'd be rendered defenseless as well. Whether “Defund the Police” actually means dismantling police departments, as it appears to in Minneapolis, or is an attempt to gaslight conservatives while neutering law enforcement, one thing is certain: The party yelling to “defund the police” is the same one that desperately wants to disarm the citizenry, rendering them utterly defenseless.Leftists, and increasingly the Democratic mainstream, have long assured Second Amendment advocates that...

Yuma, AZ Walmart 3 June, 2020, Courtesy Dean Weingarten U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- A stop at the local Walmart on 3 June, 2020, revealed an empty gun display. No guns were inside the locked display. There were no cartridges available, other than shotgun bird shot. Walmart had been trending toward gradual elimination of guns from its inventory for years, ever since the death of the founder, Sam Walton, in 1992.Sam discouraged merchandise which was not made in the USA. Sam insisted each store carry firearms, including handguns. When Sam was not there to enforce those policies, the leftists who took over the...

To say 2020 is a strange year would be putting it mildly. We already expect some oddness because it’s an election year and while politicians can screw up plenty, giving us some hilariously odd moments, but what we got was something very different. From talk of World War III we went to Australia being on fire, then on to COVID-19, and now riots. Somewhere in between were the murder hornets, too, because why the hell not? However, it also looks like 2020 might also be the year gun control died.

Singer-songwriter Meredith Brooks is calling out Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti for the city’s permissive attitude toward crime, saying that it has forced her friends to buy guns to protect themselves and has caused residents to flee the city. Her criticism comes as L.A. is still reeling from the widespread looting stemming from violent rioting during the past week. The city’s tense situation was made worse by Mayor Garcetti’s plan to slash the LAPD budget by as much as $150 million. The mayor also called LAPD officers “killers” at a recent meeting with local black leaders. Meredith Brooks said in...

Residents armed with AR-15s and wearing bullet proof vests are taking matters into their own hands across America, coming out in force to defend businesses and stop widespread vandalism by looters. Heavily armed vigilantes wielding everything from bats to rifles have started appearing at protests in places including Philadelphia, Idaho, California and Chicago, threatening to take action if things turn violent in the absence of law enforcement. In Minneapolis, neighborhood watch groups are springing up - in support of protests over George Floyd's death but in defense of businesses and homes being destroyed by looters as night falls. In many...

A group of residents including children held rifles and other weapons as they blocked their road to 'guard it from looters'. Footage of the group, who were standing next to their cars to block the street, was posted on website LiveLeak and appears to have been filmed in Belleview, Florida. The residents were allegedly guarding their street to stop looters after stores in many parts of the country were raided during nationwide unrest caused by the death of black man George Floyd. The video of the guarding residents was filmed by a family in a passing car. They are seen...

I know many of you will say that this message is unnecessary but I still feel that it needs to be shared. The world has lost its mind and now more than ever Americans need to take advantage of our Second Amendment rights. Jeff wrote a post yesterday about gun sales being through the roof. I'd say that’s a nice start. What we have seen unfold in the past few months — and especially the last week — is beyond disturbing. Law-abiding citizens have been sandwiched between egomaniac government tyrants and lawless mobs. Lawless mobs that are being cheered on...

Do you have any other weapons in the car ma'am? LOL: Well there's this .50 cal pistol under the seat. Officer: Lady, why do you have all these guns? What are you afraid...

Phones have been ringing off the hook and the line has been wrapped around the building at Coliseum Gun Traders in Uniondale, Nassau County, ever since the coronavirus pandemic began. And now with protests and rioting after the killing of George Floyd, the store has seen another enormous spike in sales. Keeping the shelves stocked has been hard, store owner Andy Chernoff said. "We started out this week with a fair amount of merchandise. We're running out. Literally running out," Chernoff said. "Never thought I'd say that."

Police now tell us a 24-year-old man is dead after trying to blow up an ATM in the city. SkyFOX was over the scene at North Second Street and West Susquehanna Avenue on Tuesday morning. This happened around 6 a.m. outside Sidekicks Sports Bar. There, investigators were looking over the automated teller machine with a smashed screen, a mangled keyboard, dangling components but a seemingly intact safe at the bottom. FOX 29's Lauren Johnson reported that, according to police, the man was using explosives. He was seriously injured at the scene and was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Sources...

The thought just came to me. More than likely a lot of gun websites are going to be shut down as this continues to prevent the sale of guns and ammunition to people where they are not recorded on camera like you see at retail establishments. When that happens, it will be EXTREMELY difficult to find guns or ammo one might want at a "reasonable" price (although it is all too high now).

An Atlanta gun store owner says he’s hoping that “no one will get hurt” after 42 handguns were stolen from his business over the weekend during looting sparked by the death of George Floyd. Jim Hinsdale, the owner of Chuck’s Firearms in the Buckhead neighborhood, told Fox5 Atlanta on Tuesday that his store was burglarized for the first time in 50 years. "They were here to take advantage of the opportunity of police not being able to be dispatched and address the normal crime," he said, adding that 42 semi-automatic handguns and revolvers were stolen from display cases, ranging in...

OMAHA, Neb. — Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine announced Monday that there would be no charges against Jake Gardner in the shooting death of 22-year-old James Scurlock, a black man who was killed amid protests in the Old Market Saturday night. "Douglas County is a community of people I truly love. And I've been very proud of and very proud to serve as the county attorney in this this great county that we live in," he began his remarks. Kleine said the death of Scurlock was "senseless," because the situation stemmed from what was meant to be peaceful protests. Kleine...

I do own a gun, but it doesn’t get much use, and I am not up to speed on what the law allows. Here’s my question: Am I right to conclude that the right to shoot someone attacking you or your property depends on the state in which you live? For example, I have heard that in North Carolina, where I have friends who carry, an intruder must be inside the door of your home for you to have the right to shoot him; if he is taking an ax to your front door but he’s not inside your home,...
