What happens when you put a Muslim imam, a Christian priest, a rabbi and a Buddhist monk in a room with 10 atheists? Turkish television station Kanal T hopes the answer is a ratings success as it prepares to launch a gameshow where spiritual guides from the four faiths will seek to convert a group of non-believers. The prize for converts will be a pilgrimage to a holy site of their chosen religion -- Mecca for Muslims, the Vatican for Christians, Jerusalem for Jews and Tibet for Buddhists. ...secular Turkey are not amused by the twist on the popular reality...

So I'm clickin' around YouTube tonight looking for some funny stuff and I happen to find these game show bloopers, some of which are hilarious. But check out the very last one and then scan the comments from people that didn't "get" it. It made me go from laughing at the video to feeling sad for the state of moral values these days and the way things have changed.

A Dutch reality television show in which a terminally ill woman is to select one of three contestants to receive her kidneys when she dies is to air this week despite criticism that it pushes the boundaries of the format too far.The government has called for De Grote Donorshow (The Big Donor show) to be dropped because it is "unethical" and "wretched" but the broadcaster BNN said it would go ahead to highlight the difficulties of searching for kidney donors. In the show, due to be broadcast on Friday, a woman identified only as Lisa, 37, will select a recipient...

I have great faith in my fellow freepers. Back in the 1960's (1966-68 I think), there was a show on television in the mornings. There were people on a beach - I remember caves and waterfalls, etc. They had to run around and find giant puzzle pieces. The participants were wearing bathing suits. It was some type of game show and there were other games besides the puzzle. I can't remember the name. Someone told me I'm crazy but it was a REAL SHOW. Anybody remember?

Television's iron man continues to forge on. Bob Barker will start his 35th season as the host of "The Price Is Right" on Sept. 18. Johnny Carson once held the record for continuous tenure with the same show: 29 years. Barker broke it in 2002. And Merv Griffin's game-show classics "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune" are years behind "Price," the longest-running game show in TV history. Barker's approach, like the show's set, has remained essentially unchanged since he arrived Sept. 4, 1972 to host what was then called "The New Price Is Right": wholesome, playful and family friendly. He's weathered...

The video game industry's 2006 E3Expo trade show in Los Angeles is getting a makeover--banned are the swarms of sexy, semi-clad "booth babes" that in years past took the unveiling of new games and technology to titillating new levels. Rules prohibiting the use of scantily clad young women to peddle video games are nothing new, but the handbook for this year's show in May outlines tough new penalties, including a $5,000 fine on the spot for the booth owner if the "booth babe" is semi-clad. "What's new in 2006 is an update and clarification of the enforcement policies; as we...

Police chiefs have been criticised by human rights campaigners after they used a televised TV game show sting to lure wanted criminals into custody. Hampshire Police teamed up with Channel 5 to set up a fake game show fronted by Neil and Christine Hamilton. They wrote to 150 wanted criminals who had evaded arrest, inviting them to appear on the Great Big Giveaway Show. Upon arriving at the fake TV studio in Portsmouth the guests were greeted by the Hamiltons and told they had won a cash prize. They were then led into a room where they had their make-up done and were...

Reality Show to Feature 1000 Men Competing to Impregnate Woman without Sex LONDON, July 23, 2004 (LifeSitenews.com) - A proposed television reality show has pushed the boundaries of offence by offering a program in which a thousand men compete for the chance to impregnate a woman by IVF. It is unlikely that the production company, Brighter Pictures, will find a market in the UK; a spokesman for the BBC has already said, "It is absolutely not for the BBC." In its coverage of the intended program, called Make Me A Mum, The Daily Mail has called the idea "sick" and...

I saw a commercial for next Friday's edition of 20/20 last night. The ad consisted of something that just left me stunned and unable to form any words, save one. The ad is plugging a story helmed by Barbara Walters. This is the gist of it: Five couples are vying to adopt a single baby. Of course, only one will be able to, and four others will be heartbroken. Who will the mother choose? This was followed by a shot of the four couples standing behind Walters and the mother, holding her baby, and Walters saying something along the lines...

PALMDALE - The producers of "Fear Factor" and "Big Brother" filmed the pilot episode of a new game show Thursday at Palmdale's Los Angeles County Raceway. "Even the Odds" will be hosted by former "Saved By the Bell" star Mario Lopez, who was on site for the shoot, which involved a stunt with cars. The production company, Endemol USA, selected the raceway, at 6850 East Ave. T, because it is sanctioned by the National Hot Rod Association, said Lisa Higgins of Endemol. It was the only place the required stunt could be performed. "You can't do it on the street,"...

Last night on FOX Entertainment's top rated 'Joe Millionaire' regular guy Evan Mariott made his plucky dates pick grapes at his vinyard, shovel the horse stables, fire his train engine with coal -- and the gals must be certainly be getting wise to the fact by now that the lovable lummox is not quite the 'Prince Charming' tycoon he claims to be.Unless, as radio and television pundits are speculating he actually is a mutilmillionaire and heir to J.W. Marriott's International Hotel Fortune at that.Mary Hart of Entertainment Tonight decided to get to the bottom of these rumours by asking Evan...

Television: Banned by the Taliban, a popular program blending comedy, social commentary and education returns, offering hope amid misery.

More than 700 people applaud wildly. Those who can whistle do. For after more than six years in the dark, Afghanistan's longest-running, even if limping, variety and quiz show is back on the airwaves, drawing standing-room-only crowds to the theater where it is taped and attracting people to the country's few remaining televisions like moths to light bulbs.
