How appropriate that on the day John ``Liveshot'' Kerry admitted that his presidential campaign is on the ropes, local Democrats gathered for the 70th birthday of Liveshot's mentor, the equally clueless presidential candidate from 1988, M. Stanley Dukakis. My invitation to the Duke's Park Plaza soiree was lost in the mail, but I assume that the Duke made his entrance into the ballroom in an appropriate fashion. In a tank. Gigolo John, of course, was briefly Dukakis' lieutenant governor. He left no footprints, only a reserved parking space under the dome at the State House that was later claimed both...

<p>SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Sen. John Kerry's presidential bid got a key endorsement Tuesday from Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who praised him for having the "strength, experience, leadership and judgment to be an excellent president."</p>
<p>Feinstein, a Democrat, is California's senior senator and arguably the most popular politician in the voter-rich state. She is one of only two U.S. senators to endorse Kerry's presidential bid so far - the other being his Massachusetts colleague, Ted Kennedy.</p>

DERRY, N.H. (Reuters) - Maybe it was the ginger tea or the homemade brownies, but Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry ran a gamut of emotions on Wednesday, angrily denouncing President Bush as "dead wrong" on Iraq and shedding tears at a jobless woman's story.

<p>Suffice it to say that Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry has made "Iraqgate" the theme of his campaign.</p>
<p>On virtually every stump he's stood on this week, the Massachusetts Democrat has complained that President Bush sidestepped the congressionally approved path to war by bypassing the United Nations, by not building an international coalition, and simply by not doing what it was that he had promised to do (actually, one could argue that the senator is wrong on all three counts).</p>
