Townhall.com’s gold partner Freedom Alliance is sponsoring the 2007 Hannity Freedom Concerts all across America this summer. Greg Stamps, a native Texan and a longtime member of the Townhall.com team, represented Townhall at the August 14 concert and sat down with Freedom Alliance president Tom Kilgannon at the Texas event. They discussed all aspects of the concert, but the description of the scholarship fund stood out most to me when Greg recalled the interview. After interviewing Tom, here is Greg's brief description of the fund: He told me that Freedom Alliance will provide $500K+ this year for 115-120 scholarships for Gold Star...

ORIGINAL THREAD Sometimes you try really hard to make things happen and they go nowhere. Other times, things just kind of fall into place. Thursday night in San Diego (actually Chula Vista, a little closer to our enemy south of the border) things just fell into place. It will be a night to remember. I hadn't gotten tickets to the Freedom Concert earlier because I was not certain whether I would be in town. When I got back from Seattle, where I saw a good Mariners' game and visited our daughter, I put out the word looking for a...

FReeper Doug From Upland just phoned in this report from San Diego: He and others are on location in the arena where Sean Hannity will be appearing to a huge crowd of Americans this evening. Some of those to appear with tonight Sean are Lt. Col. Oliver North, former Senator Fred Thompson and Presidential Candidate Duncan Hunter. Doug said he spent half an hour with Hannity's producer discussing Hillary's seamy underbelly and had the chance to speak with Sean himself, who said Hi to Freepers as he's often done before. Sean said to Doug, "We're on the same side here,...

Sean said Fred Thompson will be on at the top of the 2nd hour, and Duncan Hunter will be on the 3rd hour. They are at the San Diego Freedom Concert.

It wasn't quite a rock star's reception, but 12,000 talk radio fans on hand for the Republican's first public visit to Georgia as a possible presidential candidate treated Fred Thompson as a contender. "Run, Fred Run!" many yelled as they gave the actor and former U.S. senator a standing ovation Tuesday night at Sean Hannity's "Freedom Concert" at the Gwinnett Arena. TV and movie actor Fred Thompson, who's also gotten stage time on the floor of the U.S. Senate, meets and greets folks at the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday. Soon afterward, he was a surprise speaker at Sean...

"Run, Fred Run!" many yelled as they gave the actor and former U.S. senator a standing ovation Tuesday night at Sean Hannity's "Freedom Concert" at the Gwinnett Arena. Thompson didn't say whether he would run, but he told one group of Gwinnett businessmen to "keep your powder dry," prior to the concert. "I think we may be able to do something good for this country," Thompson said. Thompson...

Fred is scheduled to appear at Hannity's Freedom Concert tonight. I think that would be a fantastic place to announce his candidacy. Any thoughts?

Actor, former U.S. Senator and unannounced GOP presidential candidate Fred Thompson plans to attend a rally in Duluth Tuesday night. State Sen. David Shafer (R-Duluth), a Thompson supporter, Monday morning confirmed that the former "Law and Order" star is scheduled to attend a "Freedom Concert," hosted by FOX News commentator Sean Hannity at Gwinnett Center. Charlie Daniels went down to Chula Vista, lookin' for a show to play CHULA VISTA – The Sean Hannity Freedom Concert filled Coors Amphitheatre on Wednesday night with country music, patriotic appeals and political commentary that covered the entire spectrum. Everything from the right to the far right. “The liberals don't hold rallies like this, do they?” one of the featured guests, radio talk show host Mark Levin, asked the audience of 13,000. “We raise the flag. They burn the flag.” Welcome to the conservative Woodstock. Since 2003, Hannity, a Fox News Channel and radio commentator, has hosted an...

It's fitting that Sean Hannity's fourth annual Freedom Concert tomorrow will be held once again at Six Flags Great Adventure amusement park in Jackson, N.J. Hannity has had a great adventure of his own the past few years. His afternoon radio show on WABC (770 AM) is syndicated to more than 500 stations, and his 12 million-15 million weekly listeners put him behind only Rush Limbaugh. But numbers are only part of the story. Between the radio and his evening "Hannity and Colmes" on the Fox News Channel, the 44-year-old Hannity has risen above a crowded pack to become one...

Remember the dead -- and the livingMichelle Malkin (archive) May 23, 2003 | Print | SendMemorial Day has never just been about remembering the dead. In issuing the first Memorial Day order on May 5, 1868, Civil War General John Logan called on the nation to decorate the graves of soldiers and sailors who died in defense of their country -- but also to remember their surviving families: "Let us, then, at the time appointed gather around their sacred remains and garland the passionless mounds above them with the choicest flowers of spring-time; let us raise above them the dear...
