Examples of how easy it is to assume the identity of a dead person for purposes of casting a vote are growing. America has an “identity Achilles Heel” and it’s our voting process. In our nation the amount of identification required for an activity grows in direct proportion to how important an activity is thought to be – except when it comes to voting. Consider the activities judged to be more important than voting as indicated by the level of identification required. Picking up tickets at a “Will Call” window requires a photo ID and sometimes more. Opening a bank...

The year 1880 saw the publication of a book that ranks as the single most important study of Islam ever. Written in German by a young Jewish Hungarian scholar, Ignaz Goldziher, and bearing the nondescript title Muslim Studies (Muhammedanische Studien), it argued that the hadith, the vast body of sayings and actions attributed to the Islamic prophet Mohammed, lacked historical validity. Rather than provide reliable details about Mohammed’s life, the hadith, Goldziher established, emerged from debates two or three centuries later about the nature of Islam. (This is like today’s Americans debating the Constitution’s much-disputed Second Amendment, concerning the right...

The sourcing on this one is awfully thin, which raises two possibilities. One: The details are exaggerated or outright made up to try to start a firestorm among ObamaCare-hating conservatives. Two: The details are spot-on and are being deliberately leaked to see how ObamaCare-hating conservatives react. Can some parts of this thing be preserved or must the stench of The One's greatest victory be completely expunged before Congress takes another run at health care? If the law is upheld, Republicans will take to the floor to tear out its most controversial pieces, such as the individual mandate and requirements that...

It pays to be rich, powerful and a Democrat with friends in Washington. While Anna Gristina, a Connecticut mother accused of being a New York “madam” sits in a cell on Riker’s Island, Jon Corzine, the former CEO of MF Global sits at home in his New Jersey mansion. MF Global had been a publically traded securities firm with $40 billion in assets, but with liabilities even larger, filed for bankruptcy late last year, after being accused of co-mingling customer funds with its own, a flagrant violation of securities law.

In a shocking interview yesterday on the Sean Hannity Radio Show, author Ed Klein said Barack Obama’s former pastor helped Obama accept Christianity without having to renounce Islam. The Daily Caller reported: Klein also said Wright told him he “made it comfortable” for Obama to accept Christianity without having renounce his “Islamic background,” which Klein said he has on tape. -snip- Klein spoke more on this in a separate interview with NewsMax: Klein says Obama originally sought out Wright to discuss community activism. “Quickly the conversations turned from picking up garbage on the street and getting streetlights put up on...

A Clark County firefighter who was fired a year ago for misusing sick-leave privileges will get his job back. Arbitrator Michael Rappaport ordered Clark County to rehire Donald Munn in his arbitration order, even though he concluded Munn violated a policy banning the use of county computers to tell a colleague how to "call in sick on days that he had previously scheduled for vacation." That violation will only result in a written reprimand. Rappaport said the county "did not have just cause" under the union's contract to terminate Munn.

James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas exposed how easy it was for someone to walk in to a polling place and get Attorney General Eric Holder’s ballot, and now it has released another video that shows how easily non-citizens--and even dead people--can vote in North Carolina, a crucial 2012 swing state. In the video, William Romero, an apparent non-citizen, is shown to be registered to vote in North Carolina. According to jury refusal records obtained by Project Veritas, Romero was recused for being a non-citizen. Yet when a researcher from Project Veritas went into the polling station, he found that not only...

Election season has apparently spawned a slick new way for telemarketers to get around the "Do Not Call" registry — hiding a timeshare sales pitch behind a phony political poll, say critics. With telemarketers barred from robo-calling people on the "Do Not Call" registry, a new phone campaign called "Political Opinions of America" offers a three-question "poll," and then offers a reward that sounds suspiciously like a classic timeshare sales pitch. An automated voice asks the recipient to complete a quick survey with questions like: “What’s the most important thing to restore our economy?” Other questions include: “How would you...

It’s official: Elizabeth “Fauxcahontas” Warren isn’t even 3 percent Cherokee. Michael Patrick Leahy at Breitbart.com counts coup: The slender thread upon which Elizabeth Warren’s claim that she is 1/32 Cherokee rests—a purported 1894 marriage license application—has been exposed as non-existent. Based on a review of the original marriage records found in the files of the Logan County, Oklahoma Court Clerk’s office in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and the statements of ReJeania Zmek, the Court Clerk of Logan County, Oklahoma, it is likely that the ephemeral 1894 marriage license application never existed. “In modern times we keep marriage license applications,” she said. “The...

LightSquared filed for bankruptcy on Monday after failing to negotiate a last-minute deal with its lenders to avoid default. Under the Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, LightSquared has sought the company will have an opportunity to restructure itself. Why the lack of pounding home this message at Liberty U? If he could take the time to say that marriage is "the relationship between one man and one woman" he could have used this occasion to pound the message home that he will push for a constitutional amendment that says that marriage shall be between one man and one woman. Some might say that there was no need to since Romney is not going to focus on social issues like this, as this would be a distraction and all. But that argument doesn't hold water, because if he could...

The Department of Health and Human Services last week announced it had awarded a $5.9 million grant to a University of Chicago Medical Center program tied to Michelle Obama and run by Eric Whitaker, one of President Obama’s closest friends. There is an absurd report out [today] from Families USA which breathlessly states that, "3.2 million small businesses, employing 19.3 million workers across the nation, will be eligible for [a small business tax credit under Obamacare]." Note the word, "eligible." Meaning, that this many businesses can claim this tax credit. Whether many actually will is another question. The credit in question is a byzantine and confusing provision which most small employers won't try to use. It involves far too much recordkeeping and effort, and isn't very lucrative compared to simply deducting employee health insurance premiums from taxable income. The credit...

Thursday evening’s episode of the Glenn Beck Program will likely go down in the history books as one of the very few (if not only) recorded instances of another human being exposing President Obama’s myriad personal and professional inconsistencies in such a detailed and profound way. In fact, viewers might even consider burning themselves a DVD copy to serve as a record of what historians will one day prove. On Friday, The Blaze will provide more details on the president’s past deeds and associations, along with an additional clip from Beck‘s Thursday’s broadcast. Until then, ask yourself the following question:...

The House Wednesday evening voted overwhelmingly to prevent the Justice Department from using taxpayer funds to lie to Congress. The vote came in a Wednesday evening series of amendments to a bill, H.R. 5326, funding the Justice Department for 2013. Members approved the language in a 381-41 vote; all 41 "no" votes came from Democrats, although 142 Democrats voted with Republicans in support of the amendment. The vote reflects the ongoing frustration Republicans — and apparently some Democrats — have with Attorney General Eric Holder. Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) offered the novel funding limitation amendment earlier in the day. The amendment...

www.FinancialSurvivalNetwork.com presents: Episode 185 deals with the massive fraud in Dixon, Illinois. Since 1983, the comptroller, Rita Crumwell, had a nice little racket going on. She stole over $53 million dollars, $30 million alone in the past 6 years. It's truly amazing this could go on for so long in a town of just 15,000 people, with a budget of $8-20 million dollars. This story intrigued me because at some level this type of scam is happening in every governmental entity in the country. This is not to say that all government officials are looting between 10 and 25 percent...

by John HillStand With Arizona As most Americans know, Florida is a state where a small number of votes can make a huge difference. After all, the 2000 presidential election was decided by just over 500 votes. So when there is evidence of potential voter fraud, officials better take it seriously. But they rarely have. Stand With Arizona, along with FAIR, have urged Florida to check on evidence of potential illegal alien voters for over a year with no action taken. That is, until a Tampa NBC affiliate uncovered shocking evidence of illegal aliens who voted in multiple elections...

Deep-pocketed environmental groups are collecting millions of dollars from the federal agencies they regularly sue under a little-known federal law, and the government is not even keeping track of the payouts, according to two new studies. Under the Equal Access to Justice Act, or EAJA — which was signed into law by President Carter in 1980 to help the little guy stand up to federal agencies — litigants with modest means who successfully show government agencies wronged them can get their legal fees back from the taxpayer. But the act also covers 501(c)(3) nonprofits, including environmental groups that aggressively sue...

Fraud found in Obama’s online donationsBy Neil Munro - The Daily Caller – 5 hrs ago President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign has hundreds of thousands of eager, low-dollar donors — and a tiny trickle of unwilling, defrauded donors. The latest example comes from David Newman, who found a $15 charge, dated May 6, from the “Obama For America” campaign on one of his debit cards. Newman had supported Obama in 2008, but “I didn’t sign up to say ‘Do this every three months or every three years when you need money,’” he told The Daily Caller. “This is completely 100...

WASHINGTON, May 7, 2012 — Changes in the wording of Selective Service System record-keeping requirements, made days after the opening of an investigation into the alleged forgery of President Barack Obama’s selective service registration form, raise serious questions about U.S. Government intentions.
