Moshava's cancellation triggered a huge backlash, with supporters insisting that A Taste of Home would have happily hired security to protect any other nationality that had received such...

No, this is not a jihad incident. This is an incident that illustrates the mindset of all too many Muslims, including jihadists. We see here the effects of growing up in a culture that sanctifies violence and has contempt for women and blacks. And it is noteworthy that this story has gotten virtually no attention in the establishment media. Why not? We are a nation that is traumatized by and simultaneously fascinated by and fixated upon racism. It is the national sin and the national preoccupation. If Islam El Masry had been a non-Muslim white American, would this story be as buried as it has been? You tell me.

In what will be a first for New England and perhaps even the rest of the United States, Boston is about to get its very own Uyghur food truck. Although the truck won't have an onboard noodle maker turning out plates of lagman, the truck -- which is scheduled to hit the streets in the coming days -- will be serving Uyghur style kebabs, sold on skewers or inside wraps. The truck, Uyghur Kitchen, is the brainchild of Payzulla Polat, a professional musician currently studying music production and engineering at Boston's Berklee School of Music and who originally hails from...

Brad Moore and his wife, Kat, spent three years selling gourmet wieners out of a trailer before expanding Short Leash Hot Dogs this year into a 50-seat restaurant in downtown Phoenix. And working in air-conditioned comfort is a plus. “At some point you just want to get out of the heat and the summertime,” he said. Moore, who also is chairman of the Phoenix Street Food Coalition, said the transition to a...

It's interesting (or maybe just kind of sad) that various government agencies see possible terrorists everywhere but rarely, if ever, catch one. Despite the large number of personnel being thrown at the problem (along with lots of money), actual terrorists seem to be in limited supply. But these agencies haven't let their lack of success temper their vision of a nation under constant imminent attack. Public Intelligence recently posted a Powerpoint presentation from the NYC fire department (FDNY) discussing the unique safety issues mobile food trucks present. Along with some actual concerns (many food trucks use propane and/or gasoline-powered generators...
