Authorities are investigating the shooting death of an apparent border crosser in the desert near Arivaca, officials said Friday. Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents went to Arivaca Road at milepost 21 south of Tucson after receiving a call around 9 p.m. about a man who was shot and needed help, said Jesus Rodriguez, an agency spokes-man.
