To paraphrase conservative talk show host, Larry Elders, "Truth is like kryptonite to a liberal". Liberalism withers and disintegrates in the face of honesty, integrity, work, independence, and patriotism. Therefore, liberals must ban these things at all costs. Witness the left's reactions to Sarah Palin. She is the most threatening person they have ever been confronted with, and they will try everything under the sun, moon, and stars to destroy her. Which brings up a point I've been wanting to make since the night of her speech. From about 2 minutes into Sarah's speech, and continuing until maybe a few...

There seems to always be a discussion going on about the authority of the Pope in the Catholic Church, but I have long wondered about the authority figure, government set up, in other denominations also. I spent 10 years in the Baptist church, and after studying some on this topic, IMO, the Baptist's, independent, and Southern both, don't have it right either. I have seen in several Baptist Churches where they have "Head" Pastors/preachers, and "Associate/Assistant" Pastors, "youth" pastors. But in these churches the Head Pastors had the "final" say in any decisions or settling any disputes, he is in...

BANGKOK, Thailand (AP) - Knowledge of the ocean and its currents passed down from generation to generation of a group of Thai fishermen known as the Morgan sea gypsies saved an entire village from the Asian tsunami, a newspaper said Saturday. SIR Richard Branson tried to prevent the Iraq war in a secret deal with Nelson Mandela. The Virgin boss hoped to send the former leader of South Africa to meet Saddam Hussein and persuade him to go into exile. He even got United Nations chief Kofi Annan's approval for the plan, despite fears that Saddam might kidnap Mandela. A private jet was ready to fly the Nobel Peace Prize winner to Iraq. Branson offered to join him on the peace mission. But coalition forces invaded Iraq just before they went. Branson opposed invasion plans and believed if they could offer...

Elders 'beat children at mosques' By Nick Britten (Filed: 12/11/2004) Police and child protection officials have launched an investigation into allegations of child abuse at two mosques in the West Midlands. Around 40 schoolchildren are to be interviewed over claims that they have been subjected to violence and punishment by elders at the mosques, which are on adjoining roads. The investigation was sparked last month when the mother of an eight-year-old boy complained to the police that a mullah [teacher] had slapped her son on the back and made him lie face down before putting his right foot on the...

JERUSALEM (AP) - Israel would not be able to destroy Iran's nuclear installations with a single air strike as it did in Iraq in 1981 because they are scattered or hidden and intelligence is weak, Israeli and foreign analysts say. Israeli leaders have implied they might use force against Iran if international diplomatic efforts or the threat of sanctions fail to stop Iran from producing nuclear weapons. Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said this month Israel is "taking measures to defend itself" - a comment that raised concern Israel is considering a pre-emptive strike along the lines of its 1981...

November 5, 2002 -- Arab Voice, an Arabic-language newspaper published weekly since 1993 from Main Street in Paterson, N.J., appears to be just another one of America's many ethnic publications.

Its publisher, Walid Rabah, modestly describes himself as "an activist with the Palestinian Writer's Guild in the United States." Its pages are filled with ads hawking Arab-owned restaurants, travel agencies, real-estate offices, retail stores and doctors' offices.

Egyptian state television will broadcast a 30-part series based on the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, an infamous anti-Semitic tract the show's creator and star says "reveals the Zionist schemes to seize Palestine."
BILL O'REILLY, HOST:In the Personal Story segment tonight, a controversial new book called Harmful to Minors. It comes out in May, and already some Americans are steaming mad, calling the book evil. That's because it says, among other things, that sex is not harmful to children. It is a vehicle for self-knowledge. And that the threat of pedophilia and molestation is exaggerated in America.
