The world has become used to seeing scenes of terrorist carnage. From Bali to Mumbai and by way of Madrid and London, few terrorist attacks truly shock people. Most pale in comparison to that of 9/11. Whereas once they spoke of "Black Friday" in Mumbai in regard to the 1993 bombings, they can hardly have so many black days for all the terrorism. Similarly in this country people became "used to" terrorism and rockets in Sderot. Now Israel and its supporters and enemies have gotten used to the violent outburst of protesters in Europe. Few people more than winced at...

[video]Muslims in America simply want to become good Americans. They just want picnics, beer bellies, and mortgages they can’t afford, like the rest of us. At least that’s what the media tells us. Luckily, not-so-peaceful jihadists can’t keep their mouths shut. Stick a camera in front of one of these guys and he feels compelled to blab the truth. Apparently, a camera to jihadist is like sodium pentothal to a liar. The attached video is from a Chicago-based TV show called Underground Railroad. They guest, Dr. Amir Ali, seems rather happy (eager, in fact) to announce that Islam and sharia...

Last Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit dealt a crushing blow to national defense. The three-judge panel’s ruling in al Odah v. United States has gotten scarce media attention. Perhaps that’s understandable: It’s a mind-numbing technical dispute over “discovery” in litigation, vying for attention against the socializing of our economy and the consequent collapse of the stock market. But the discovery in question is the most vital kind, namely, that of classified national-defense information. What is in dispute is how much sensitive intelligence we must share with enemies bent on annihilating Americans ... It is one...

The war is over. Our peerless armed forces took Tora Bora and, when we finally let them, Fallujah. But al-Qaeda won in Washington, and that has made all the difference. The War on Terror has radically altered the compact between the American people and their government by dramatically changing the nature of the U.S. courts. Until this new, unaccountable monster is caged, it will continue to devour our political community’s capacity to wage war and to defend itself. And that caging had better happen soon, because the word “war” in this context refers only to our nation’s forcible military response...

Talk about a failure in vetting! Dennis Blair’s choice to head the National Intelligence Council and to create the critical NIEs that guide our security policies looks worse by the day. Martin Kramer gives his analysis of Freeman and finds a Saudi apologist — and a card-carrying member of the Blame America crowd: How important has resentment of Israel been to Al Qaeda’s terrorism? Here is one side of the argument, by an American who knows Saudi Arabia well: The heart of the poison is the Israel-Palestinian conundrum. When I was in Saudi Arabia, I was told by Saudi friends...

For the past year, there’s been a concerted push within the U.S. government to ban frank talk about the nature of the Islamist enemy. It began with the Department of Homeland Security, then moved to the National Counter Terrorism Center and the departments of State and Defense. Already in May 2008, I heard an excellent analysis of the enemy by Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Thomas Mahnken in which he bizarrely never once mentioned Islam or jihad. I’ve been wondering how this change in vocabulary actually occurs: is it a spontaneous mood shift, a group decision, or a directive from...

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama says he hopes U.S. troops can identify moderate elements of the Taliban and move them toward reconciliation. Asked in an interview with The New York Times if the United States is winning in Afghanistan, Obama said "no," while adding "our troops are doing an extraordinary job in a very difficult situation." "But you've seen conditions deteriorate over the last couple of years. The Taliban is bolder than it was. I think ... in the southern regions of the country, you're seeing them attack in ways that we have not seen previously," Obama said in...

I don't know if Newsweek is as eager to be rid of Israel as "The State of Islam" is these days or not, but on its interactive online map of the mid east, the news mag is featuring a map of Israel labeled as "Palestinian Territory." Once you click over to the Newsweek map, holding the mouse over the tiny red shape north of Egypt will bring up a popup map showing Israel clearly labeled as "PalestinianTerritory." Here is a screen shot of the current map on Newsweek's site:

The problem of children's indoctrination, however, is not merely a British problem, such practices to some degree or another are slowly being introduced throughout Europe and in the US, (aside from that .pdf document in the last link, you can also see a different report here) in the interest of multiculturalism Islamic indoctrination. Over at Islam in Europe, you can watch a BBC show on Islamic extremists in Britain, other videos give a far, far, worse picture of the stark new reality... Lest you think that whatever may be happening over in the UK and elsewhere in Europe is merely...

The day after the UN created the State of Israel, the country's first president, Chaim Weizmann, found time to work on his memoir, "Trial and Error." In it, he issued a warning to the Israeli leaders of today: "I am certain that the world will judge the Jewish state by what it will do with the Arabs." It was Nov. 30, 1947. Weizmann was an astonishingly accomplished man - chemist, diplomat, statesman - but maybe his most uncanny talent was that of seer. Peering into the future, he glimpsed the ugly turn Israeli politics has recently taken and how it...

The UK's mosques are out of touch with British Muslims and failing to root out extremism, a think tank has claimed. The Quilliam Foundation, a group which opposes radical Islam, quotes a study saying 97% of imams were born abroad. It says the lecture before Friday prayers in 44% of mosques is not in English, while nearly half have no women's facilities.

The Left is only too happy to suppress free speech. It doesn’t know what it’s getting itself into. One thing in particular struck me last week when I was in London for the showing of Geert Wilders’ Fitna in the House of Lords. Well, apart from the fact that Mr. Wilders was banned from entering the country. It was the press’ uniform designation of the Dutch politician as “right-wing” or even “extreme right-wing”.What precisely has Geert Wilders done or said that makes him deserving of this epithet? For make no mistake: whereas “left-wing” is considered an accolade and smacks...

Librarians have been advised to move the Bible to the top shelves to appease religious concerns in the Islamic community. Muslims have complained that the Koran is often displayed on the lower shelves, which is deemed offensive as many believe the holy book should be placed above "commonplace things". Now library officials in one city have been told to keep all holy books, including the Bible, on the top shelves in the interests of equality. It has caused concern from Christian charities that this will put the Bible out of the reach and sight of many people.

England produced the Bill of Rights in 1689 when a man from the Netherlands, William of Orange, was invited to become King William III of England. King William III gave an oath to limit his own powers and to defend the rule of law. England gave the world Habeus Corpus and the rights of the common man. England has thrown all that out of the window. This past week Great Britain has surrendered to Dhimmitude. When they banned Geert Wilders from their country, it wasn't because of what Wilders may have said or done, but they were afraid of the...

BUFFALO, N.Y. - A suburban Buffalo man who founded a cable TV station to promote better understanding of Muslims in the U.S. has been arrested on charges he beheaded his wife. Orchard Park police arrested Muzzammil Hassan, 44, on Thursday for investigation of second-degree murder, The Buffalo News reported. Police identified the victim as Aasiya Z. Hassan, 37. Her body was found at his business, Bridges TV.

The website of a New York TV network whose aim is to improve American perceptions of Islam was shut down this morning, two days after its founder admitted to the beheading of his wife. And while that irony might bring a momentary smile, another attempt to conceal the facts behind an honor killing right here in America should stir nothing short of outrage. Muzzammil Hassan, CEO of Bridges TV, whose motto is "connecting people through understanding," apparently didn't think Thursday's honor killing -- and make no mistake about what this was -- at the station might somehow blur that message....

It has come to this: If you are an Islamic radical, trained to carry out terrorist atrocities in al-Qaeda’s jihad against the United Kingdom, the British will welcome you with open arms. Not content with that, Great Britain will lobby insistently for your release from custody so that you may freely roam British streets—and the halls of Westminster. If, by contrast, you are a duly elected representative in the democratic government of a country to which England is bound in the European Union, and you speak about the undeniable—though mulishly denied—nexus between Islamic doctrine and jihadist terror, Great Britain will...

London, Feb. 12, 2009 Ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much. Thank you for inviting me. Thank you Lord Pearson and Lady Cox for showing Fitna, and for your gracious invitation. While others look away, you, seem to understand the true tradition of your country, and a flag that still stands for freedom. This is no ordinary place. This is not just one of England’s tourist attractions. This is a sacred place. This is the mother of all Parliaments, and I am deeply humbled to speak before you. The Houses of Parliament is where Winston Churchill stood firm, and warned...

President Obama says he'll talk to Iran if Tehran "unclenches its fist"; President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says Iran is open to negotiations but only on a basis of "fairness and mutual respect". Both men's coded conditionals are a reminder that, after three decades of mutual hostility, talking won't be easy. TIME tapped a number of Iran experts for perspective on some of the key questions facing U.S.-Iran diplomacy:

jihadist group responsible for nearly 50 attacks on American soil is operating 35 training camps across the nation, but its name cannot be found on the State Department's list of foreign terrorist organizations. Exposing Jamaat ul-Fuqra's threat to the U.S., putting it on the terror list and shutting it down is the aim of a documentary film premiering tomorrow night at the Landmark Theater in Washington, D.C., at 7:30 p.m. The film's producer, the Christian Action Network, or CAN, says there's no charge to attend the showing of "Homegrown Jihad: The Terrorist Camps Around the U.S.," and DVDs are available...

Free Speech Death Watch Update: dhimmitude is triumphant today in the UK. Britain's Muslim peer, Lord Nazir Ahmed, threatened to mobilize 10,000 Muslims to protest Wilders' appearance and the showing of Fitna in the British Parliament. Instead of standing up to this thuggery, telling Lord Ahmed that the public order will be protected and making it clear that the British government would protect the freedom of speech as a cornerstone of free society, the British have caved:

A senior Foreign Office diplomat has been arrested for inciting racial hatred after an angry tirade at his gym. News reports today said that Rowan Laxton, 47, allegedly shouted "f***ing Israelis, f***ing Jews" while watching television reports of the Israeli attack on Gaza last month. He is also alleged to have said that Israeli soldiers should be "wiped off the face of the Earth" during the rant at the London Business School gym near Regents Park. The Daily Mail said that the tirade continued even after other gym users asked him to stop. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office declined to...

If you’ve got only eight minutes to confront a world leader whose impact and outlook you’ve despised and denounced for decades, then what’s the best way to take advantage of the interchange? Police have opened the door to female Muslim recruits by incorporating the hijab into the uniform. The force has become the latest to approve a design for a headscarf suitable for officers on patrol. Senior officers believe the lack of the option has deterred applications from the considerable number of Muslim women who choose to wear the hijab. The police hijab is plain black and made of a flame-retardant material. Officers will be able to wear a standard police hat on top of it. Click here! A small number of forces nationwide have taken a similar step, including Thames Valley...

Hamas must somehow be brought into the Middle East peace process because the policy of isolating Gaza in the quest for a settlement will not work, Tony Blair has told The Times. The former prime minister implicitly criticises the strategy followed by the Bush Administration and Israel of focusing all peace and reconstruction efforts on the West Bank. “It was half of what we needed,” he said.

The success the Islamists are having in Europe should cause us to think twice about how dangerous they are. All over Europe Islamists immigrants are pressuring and procreating their way to power while the countries they live in watch and sip coffee. In France the public school system is just about at the tipping point where more Muslim children attend than traditional French children do. The PTAs are well attended by the Muslim mothers, many of whom are interested only in eventually making France a nation ruled by Sharia law. Amsterdam’s brothels are closing. In Rome and Paris female topless...

The House of Lords is a venerable British institution, but what does one get if one accepts Muslims in? This: A member of the Lords intended to invite her colleagues to a private meeting in a conference room in the House of Lords to meet the Dutch politician Geert Wilders, an elected member of the Dutch parliament, to watch his controversial movie Fitna and discuss the movie and Mr. Wilders’ opinions with him. Barely had the invitation been sent to all the members of the House when Lord Ahmed raised hell. He threatened to mobilize 10,000 Muslims to prevent Mr....

UTRECHT, 28/01/09 - Labour (PvdA) leader Wouter Bos is urging "a civilized form of nationalism." This should however include pride by the Dutch of having a Muslim as the mayor of Rotterdam, he said at a party meeting in Utrecht. Bos spoke at the party meeting about the Integration Memorandum the PvdA wants to present to its members in March. A draft version was drawn up in December in which the traditional party line - immigrants enrich the Dutch society - appeared to have been replaced by a message in which there is also room for criticism. This week, however,...

Last night the President of the United States of America crawled on his hands and knees begging the Muslim World to "forgive" the US. President Barack Obama on Tuesday chose an Arabic satellite TV network for his first formal television interview as president, delivering a message to the Muslim world that "Americans are not your enemy." The interview underscored Obama's commitment to repair relations with the Muslim world that have suffered under the previous administration. Mitchell, was expected to arrived in Egypt on Tuesday for a visit that will also take him to Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia....

The U.N.'s humanitarian chief suggested Thursday that Israel should pay for the hundreds of tons of food and other supplies destroyed when Israeli shells struck the main United Nations compound in Gaza. Touring Gaza to assess what is most urgently needed in the coastal strip, U.N. official John Holmes called the steep Palestinian casualty toll from Israel's offensive "extremely shocking" and suggested the United Nations might ask Israel to compensate it for wartime damage to U.N. compounds in Gaza. Hundreds of tons of humanitarian aid were destroyed by Israeli shelling that struck the main U.N. compound. "We want to make...

Another thing on which the British media have been a trifle reticent is the way in which Foreign Secretary David (bananaman) Miliband has upset yet another UK ally after showing such hostility towards Israel. In his much-ridiculed Guardian article denying that Islamic terrorism was a unified phenomenon and claiming that Islamic terrorism could be defeated by 'co-operation', he wrote that Lashkar e Taiba, the group held to be responsible for the Mumbai massacre last month, was only concerned with the issue of Kashmir. As I said here, LeT wants the restoration of Islamic rule over the whole of South Asia,...

If you know your enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. This famous maxim by the ancient Chinese general Sun Tzu is familiar to every student of military science and strategy. His counsel is simple: understand your enemy, understand yourself. Nearly eight years after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, however, important segments of our military infrastructure dedicated to training and educating the next generation of military leaders have woefully failed to heed Sun Tzu’s advice. Two recent blog posts by Washington Post military correspondent Tom Ricks related to policies and publications by the U.S....

German Police Removed Israeli Flag 'To Calm' Muslims by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu A German youth said police broke into his and his girl friend's apartment to remove a Jewish flag in order to calm screaming Muslim protesters. "Today, 10,000 people demonstrated against Israel here in my hometown of Duisburg and to express their solidarity with Hamas," said the writer in his report, originally posted on the Muqata blog site. He said he and his friend responded by placing two large Israel flags in the windows of their third floor apartment. "During the demonstration, which went through our street, the police...

Outspoken Republican congressman Ron Paul says Israel had received a green light from the United States to launch an offensive in Gaza. The Texas congressman said the Israeli attack on the impoverished Gaza Strip shapes a bleak future for the whole world as it means that, "the whole idea of preemptive or preventive war is spreading." He went on to challenge the idea of Hamas threatening Israel's security and argued that "Palestinian missiles are so minor compared to the fire power of Israel, who has nuclear weapons." The US Congressman's remarks come as Israel continues to rebuff international efforts to...

About 70 rockets and mortar shells have been fired at Israel on Wednesday an army spokesman said by telephone, adding that it was the largest assault since a cease-fire with Hamas began in June. What the news doesn't tell you is that during the six-month"cease-fire" approximately 470 rockets and mortars were sent into Israel. “Israel has demonstrated great restraint, but this cannot continue,” Mark Regev, a spokesman for Olmert’s office, said by phone. My Christian friends tell me that the message of Christmas is Peace on Earth and love of mankind. So why is England's Channel 4 hosting a Christmas message from the Warmongering purveyor of hatred, Islamofascist Iranian President Ahmadinejad. The message will be broadcast on Channel 4 Thursday evening as an alternative to the traditional Christmas television and radio address from Queen Elizabeth. The address will include dittys such as "If Christ were on earth today, undoubtedly he would stand with the people in opposition to bullying, ill-tempered and expansionist powers." Ahmed Bedier is recognized by the Tampa Government as a "protector of human rights. Which means that Tampa is either blind or has a strange definition of "human right." Bedier, the former head of CAIR in Tampa has a long history of supporting terrorism. For example when two Muslim college students, Youseff Megahed and Ahmed Mohamed, were found with pipe bombs one of whom has admitted to making a video about how to use remote-controlled bombs against American soldiers), Bedier claimed that the pipe bomb material was just fireworks and said, “Both of them are really naïve kids.” On a...

There are about,1.6 million Muslims in Great Britain and while they represent only 3% of the population it is a very vocal and radical minority. Almost half of Britain’s mosques are under the control of a hard line Islamic sect whose leading preacher loathes Western values and has called on Muslims to “shed blood” for Allah, an investigation by The Times has found. Riyadh ul Haq, who supports armed jihad and preaches contempt for Jews, Christians and Hindus, is in line to become the spiritual leader of the Deobandi sect in Britain. The ultra-conservative movement, which gave birth to the...

A British prison has decided not to include a crucifix in the décor of its new chapel for fear of offending Muslim inmates. The ‘multi-faith space’ at HMP Lewes is divided in two sections, according to the Daily Mail. One half-features heated footbaths for Muslim worshipers; the other side, dedicated to Christian prayer, features a removable altar and a plain wooden cross – also removable. Plans to include the traditional Christian crucifix were erased from the chapel’s blueprints on the advice of a Muslim imam, the Daily Mail reported.

General James Jones, Obama’s choice for National Security Adviser, again revealed his staggering ignorance. The general might be an authority in conventional warfare - though it is unlikely, given his mere few months battlefield experience in Vietnam. General Jones pushes his hallmark solution for the West Bank: IDF moves out and NATO troops move in. The proposal reveals Gen. Jones complete ignorance of anti-terrorist warfare. IDF is the only army in the world which curbed terrorism: from near-war levels in 2000-2003 to near-absence today. The success is due to two factors: extremely exhaustive intelligence and freedom of operations. IDF runs...

In today's NY Times, my old "Friend" Helene Cooper (who used Yidwithlid as an example of Blogs slandering the then candidate Obama) says that the President-elect is looking to make a major foreign policy speech in an Islamic Capital sometime during the first 100 days of his administration. The word is the most likely place is Cairo, but nothing is guaranteed. I guess that the President-elect would like to reward Egypt for its vast record of human rights violations. This is a Prime example of the President-elects priorities. He subscribes to the nonsense that US foreign policy has been "anti-Muslim"...

The Republican Party lost because of John McCain, and McCain himself lost much. But he will now return to the Senate having run a campaign that did not jeopardize the status he cherishes as the non-partisan, not-too-Republican Senator from Arizona. McCain seemed to campaign with an eye towards having it both ways. It often appeared that he was saying, “If I win fine; but I’ll do little to identify and intertwine myself with the Republican Party, so that if I lose I’ll be able to return to the Senate, once again, as the leader and elder statesman 'above partisan politics'...

The U.S. Treasury Department is submitting to Shariah --- the seditious religio-political-legal code authoritative Islam seeks to impose worldwide under a global theocracy. As reported in this space last week, Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Robert Kimmitt set the stage with his recent visit to Saudi Arabia and other oil-rich Persian Gulf states. His stated purpose was to promote the recycling of petrodollars in the form of foreign investment here. Evidently, the price demanded by his hosts is that the U.S. government get with the Islamist financial program. While in Riyadh, Mr. Kimmitt announced: "The U.S. government is currently studying...
