DOVER, Del.- Gun sales in Delaware have surged this past December and January. According to published reports distributed by the Associated Press, a total of 12,556 federal background checks were submitted and conducted for people buying guns through gun shops in Delaware. Proponents of a defeated measure to abolish Delaware's death penalty say they will continue fighting until capital punishment is outlawed.
