A couple in Australia has aborted their unborn child at 28 weeks after learning that the baby would be born with a deformed left hand. Mind you, at 28 weeks a baby has over a 90% chance of surviving outside the womb with proper healthcare. But the mother said she was "really, really depressed" about the baby's diagnosis so that would seem to trump the illegality or immorality of late-term abortions. The mother said she believed she would feel guilty for allowing a baby to live with a disability. "I grew up with many people who were disabled, and… there...

(NewsCore) - Eyeless shrimp, fish with oozing sores and other mutant creatures found in the Gulf of Mexico are raising concerns over lingering effects of the BP oil spill. On April 20, 2010, an explosion aboard the BP-leased Deepwater Horizon rig killed 11 people and spewed an estimated 4.9 million barrels into the Gulf, in the worst offshore oil spill in US history. Two years later, scientists and commercial fishers alike are finding shrimp, crab and fish that they believe have been deformed by the chemicals unleashed in the spill, according to an extensive report by Al Jazeera English.

A deformed puppy rescued from a garbage bag has finally learnt to walk. Little Harper was saved from a certain death when a woman in Sanford, Florida, saw a man selling pit-bull puppies outside a Save-A-Lot holding a squirming trash bag. When she asked him what was in the bag he at first refused to show her but he finally handed over the bag containing a puppy so deformed it couldn’t walk or hold up its head. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2041163/Born-survivor-Deformed-puppy-rescued-trash-finally-learns-walk.html

New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) has long been rumored as desperately seeking the democratic nomination for president in 2008. Michael Jackson was forced to reveal his ravaged face in public for the first time. A judge in a California court ordered him to remove his surgical mask before giving evidence in a multimillion dollar lawsuit over a cancelled concert appearance. The singer arrived at the court wearing the trademark mask, which he believes protects him from germs and traffic fumes. When he removed the mask inside, the full toll of years of plastic surgery on his face were revealed. Onlookers gasped at the sight of Jackson, whose nose was scarred and discoloured and covered with a clear plaster. His...
