NBC News was forced to issue a correction on Sunday evening after spinning its newest talent Megyn Kelly’s interview to falsely claim that Russian President Vladimir Putin “does not deny having compromising information” on President Donald Trump. To promote the debut of Kelly’s “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” program, NBC News tweeted, “EXCLUSIVE: Putin does not deny having compromising information on President Trump in interview with @megynkelly.” CNBC, NBC’s sister station, did not send out fake news, linking to the same story after tweeting, “Russia’s Putin denies having compromising information on Trump.” Reuters also reported on the interview and tweeted,...

Lies are as important an ingredient in the ideology of progressives as is h20 in water. Two months ago, a Planned Parenthood pamphlet from 1952 was making the rounds, and everybody was rushing to condemn the organization for it. Here is the pamphlet. Here it is again, and again and again. The last link is the most direct, but at the same time the most problematic. It states at the top "MATTERS OF LIFE AND DEATH". This entirely misses the point and as far as I'm concerned, it's dangerous. If you guys want to attack individual leaves on the tree,...

Thursday on his “No Spin News” podcast, Bill O’Reilly weighed in on CNN reporting that there was a crisis within the members of the White House. According to O’Reilly, the supposed crisis is “fake” and is being “manufactured” by mainstream media to hurt President Donald Trump’s ability to govern. Partial transcript as follows: So in the midst of this big story, terror story, in England and the president speaking to the Pope and then going to NATO in Belgium, what do I see on CNN? White House in crisis. This is what they’re doing. This is what their lead was...

Long time CTH readers will note we extended well over a year of benefit-of-the-doubt to the motives of former FBI Director James Comey with regard to the severity of his politicized nature and disposition. Throughout the entire Clinton investigation we remained ambivalent to Comey’s motives. Indeed it wasn’t until after the Pulse nightclub terrorist attack when Comey obtusely noted the FBI had been contacted (prior to the attack) about the sketchy behavior of Omar Mateen by a ‘random concerned citizen’ -and our finding that the actual ‘citizen’ was the far more substantive St Lucie county sheriff Ken Mascara– that we...

Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City, the eighth-richest person in the United States, and the billionaire behind the rabidly anti-gun group Everytown for Gun Safety, was asked on CBS’ “60 Minutes” why he didn’t run for president of the United States. His answer was revealing. “If I thought we could win, or had a reasonable chance, I would have [run for president],” he said. “It would be totally unlikely, very unlikely that an independent could win. And in my case, I was mayor for a long time. People know where I stand. I couldn’t pretend to be something...

CNN has an article up today titled “‘Black Lives Matter’ cases: When controversial killings lead to change” which looks at how individual shootings highlighted by BLM have resulted in some changes to the law. Let’s stipulate up front that there’s nothing wrong with the subject matter here. A roundup of legal changes that have resulted from these high profile cases seems worthwhile. What’s not worthwhile is the way CNN frames a couple of the best-known cases, even failing to note there is no evidence for the story behind “hands up, don’t shoot.” Here’s CNN’s description of the Michael Brown shooting:

The internet is abuzz with the claim that Trump said the Constitution is archaic: https://www.google.com/search?q=trump+constitution+archaic. As the linked Fox News transcript shows, he did no such thing. I think some lefties think the filibuster is part of the Constitution ... or they hope that low-information voters will think so.

The president of the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) on Saturday pushed back against President Trump's claims that news outlets covering his administration critically are reporting "fake news." "We are not fake news, we are not failing news organizations and we are not the enemy of the American people," WHCA president and Reuters correspondent Jeff Mason said at the organization's annual dinner. Trump and his chief strategist Steven Bannon have repeatedly referred to members of the media as the "enemy of the American people," while Trump himself has long maintained an antagonistic relationship with the press. Mason's speech received a...

RUSH: Let me give you the headline here on this. It’s a Daily Caller story. Ready for this? “Former Obama Official: Bureaucrats Manipulate Climate Stats to Influence Policy.†No kidding! Exactly. But this looks like somebody from the Obama regime is owning up to it. In a sense saying, we’ve all been lied to about this. I just printed it out. I haven’t had a chance to read it yet but I’m one of the fastest digesters of news there is out there so I’ll digest this really fast as a fast digester does and I’ll get you the details...

President Trump took a few more shots Monday at his old nemesis — the pollsters who confidently predicted his loss last year — after new surveys were released playing up the president’s low approval ratings at the end of his first 100 days. But the same polling also buried some more positive news for the president: he’d still beat Hillary Clinton in a head-to-head matchup, according to one survey. The Washington Post-ABC News poll showed that 43 percent said they would support Trump if the election were held today, compared with 40 percent for the former Democratic nominee, Clinton. Trump...

As Twitchy reported Wednesday, the New England Patriots called out the New York Times over a photo tweet comparing the turnout to meet President Trump to the much larger group that took up President Obama’s invitation in 2015. {..snip..}

The New York Times spread a pair of misleading photos of the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots visiting the Trump and Obama White Houses, giving the false impression that significantly fewer Patriots players and staffers showed up for President Trump. The tweet quickly went viral, picking up over 44,000 retweets. "Patriots' turnout for President Obama in 2015 vs. Patriots' turnout for President Trump today: https://t.co/OxMEOqZonI pic.twitter.com/pLmJWhOw1j" — NYT Sports (@NYTSports) April 19, 2017 But the Patriots explained in their own tweet that the Times was comparing apples and oranges. The 2015 photo included about 40 staff members, who were...

When you receiving a devastating fact-check by the Twitter account of an NFL football team, it might be time to delete your newspaper. That very thing occurred on Wednesday, when the New York Times tweeted out two photos comparing the number of Patriots coaches and players who attended in 2015, when Obama was president, versus how many attended on Wednesday with President Trump: "Patriots’ turnout for President Obama in 2015 vs. Patriots’ turnout for President Trump today: https://t.co/OxMEOqZonI pic.twitter.com/pLmJWhOw1j" — NYT Sports (@NYTSports) April 19, 2017 Clearly, the tweet makes the Obama White House visit look significantly better attended than...

On Thursday, the U.S. military dropped a MOAB (Mother Of All Bombs) on an ISIS tunnel complex in Nangahar Province in Afghanistan. Shortly after that, USA Today posted a breathtakingly ignorant graphic purporting to show that the MOAB contained over 70 percent of the destructive force of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. This epic fail occurred even though the following comparison was known early on: The MOAB has the force of 11 tons of TNT. For comparison, the bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945 had the force of 15 thousand tons of TNT. The destructive force of the...

Washington, D.C. - At the President and the Press event at the Newseum Wednesday, five members of the White House press corps weighed in on their experience covering the first three months of the Trump presidency. The audience was especially interested in what CNN’s Jim Acosta had to say, considering he has had some rather colorful exchanges with the president in his entertaining press conferences. Acosta, you’ll remember, was the reporter on the receiving end of Trump’s “fake news” retort back in January after his network reported on the unverified Russian dossier published by BuzzFeed. Acosta, however, has no regrets...

This past Sunday’s edition of 60 Minutes featured a piece by CBS’s Scott Pelley examining the idea of fake news, but it was far from perfect with a glaring omission, a shocked host and guest that liberals fall for fake news, and downright hypocrisy from the network that promulgated Dan Rather’s fake news.

Representative Elise M. Stefanik is a young, freshman republican congresswoman from the Albany New York area. And using a probative questioning timeline, she single-handily pulled the mask from FBI Director James Comey, yet no-one seemed to notice. Obviously Ms. Stefanik has not been in the swamp long enough to lose her common sense.

WMAL's Chris Plante pointed out on the 17th that O'Donnell was also aided by yet another deceptive video edit (courtesy of the artisans at NBC News) designed to make Donald Trump appear to be a liar via a recent conversation Fox News' Bret Baier and Speaker Paul Ryan were having about the STILL unproven, Democrat accusation that the Russians influenced the 2016 presidential election. MSNBC edited a portion of that segment and inserted to make it appear that Ryan was saying there was no proof that Trump was wiretapped during the election.
