Hillary Clinton was reportedly asked to compete on the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars.” US Weekly reports: For Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, the mirrorball trophy is no consolation prize. In the new issue of Us Weekly, a Dancing With the Stars source reveals producers asked the 69-year-old politician if she would be interested in strutting her stuff on season 24 of the ABC ballroom competition.

Former Miss Alabama Katherine Webb is moving to New York and may appear in an upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars, it emerged today. What should have been a mere 15 minutes of fame after ESPN commentator Brent Musburger momentarily fell in love with her as she watched her quarterback boyfriend play in the BSC Championships, has now turned into what could well be a promising career for the 23-year-old.

After endless hype and a delayed premiere, Terra Nova's $20 million dollar pilot finally roared into the primetime race last night. Steven Spielberg's gorgeous, CGI series had a decent start, but couldn't beat out Two and a Half Men or Dancing with the Stars. While CBS ruled Monday night and ABC's Dancing with the Stars saw a ratings drop but stayed in second, Fox is calling Terra Nova's third place premiere a win. The action adventure series finally stomped onto screens Monday and managed to lure in around 9 million viewers with the promise of dinosaurs, time travel and family...

Ok, I gotta admit, this really took me by surprise. I really didn't just fall of the turnip truck and know all too well that bigotry, stupidity and rank ignorance not only still exist in 21st century USA, but fester in every state of the union. But the reaction that ABC got when it announced that Chaz Bono would be among the celebrities on the new "Dancing With the Stars" season had my jaw dropping to the floor. Homophobia itself is ugly and uninformed, of course, but those who spew anti-gay epithets often do so because they believe sexual orientation...

How long before the cries of “Free Bristol Palin!” begin? Margaret Cho, who briefly co-starred with Palin on this season’s “Dancing With the Stars,” blogged Monday that Bristol only did the show because Sarah Palin forced her to, part of a plan to get Americans to “fall in love with her again” in the runup to the 2012 election.

What's with the recent trend of tagging articles with palin or sarahpalin that have nothing to do with Sarah Palin? If your article has nothing to do with Palin, please don't tag it as such. It's bad enough that journalists use her name to get hits to their articles or as a cheap source of writing material. We don't need that attitude here too. Just because people want to increase traffic to their posts, doesn't mean they should tag their posted articles with palin or sarahpalin. This just clutters the keyword/tagging system.

As we've seen this season in particular, high scores from the judges may be nice. But, it's the viewers who matter because their votes can make an impact. I imagine you have already heard that a man in Wisconsin shot his television set when Bristol Palin beat out R&B singer Brandy to achieve the finals of "Dancing With the Stars." I know that in real life he is a troubled human being with a history of bipolar disorder, but I think in the make-believe world of celebrity media, he speaks for all of us. Bristol Palin brought the A-game to the floor, and her supporter-in-chief to the audience for the second week of "Dancing with the Stars." The results were positively lethal. With Sarah Palin sitting in the front row with adorable daughter Piper, it was the most effective P.R. offensive a dance show/popularity contestant you could ever ask for.
