Reelection was supposed to be a cakewalk for veteran Democratic Senator Bob Menendez. But a new poll by Stockton University finds that ethics problems and a relentless campaign of ads highlighting them by his Republican challenger has left Menendez in a fight for his political life. The poll finds Menendez leading Republican challenger Robert Hugin by 2 points—45 percent to 43 percent—which is well within the poll’s margin of error. New Jersey is a blue state, where Democratic voters easily outnumber those registered Republican. And Democrats are looking to New Jersey as a key player in a blue wave that...

The race for a U.S. Senate seat in New Jersey is a statistical dead heat, with incumbent Democrat Bob Menendez leading Republican challenger Bob Hugin by two percentage points, according to a Stockton University poll released today. Menendez leads with 45 percent to Hugin’s 43 percent five weeks before the Nov. 6 election, according to poll numbers of likely voters who say they lean toward one candidate or the other. Libertarian Murray Sabrin pulls 3 percent, while other candidates and undecided voters total 8 percent. Menendez, who was reprimanded by a Senate ethics panel after corruption charges were dismissed following...

The anti-Semitic U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) promotes the “Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions” (BDS) movement against Israel and, in that connection, has reportedly funneled donations to a Palestinian group with ties to terrorist organizations such as Hamas. Nevertheless, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), one of several Democrat senators contemplating a presidential run in 2020, made the obligatory appearance at the radical Left Netroots Nation’s 2018 conference last week where he managed to provide some cover for USCPR. Senator Booker did so when he smilingly appeared in a photo holding up a sign that declared, “From Palestine to Mexico, all the walls have got to go.” The...

We all know most liberals are hypocrites, but they can’t help it, not really. After all, hypocrisy is intertwined into the very essence of holding to policy positions so utterly nonsensical on their face that defending them requires pretzel-shaped distortions of reality that would make a circus acrobat shudder. But among a sea of hypocrites, some are more hypocritical than others. Enter Senator Cory Booker, who was recently photographed at Netroots Nation - that gathering of Lenin wannabees, each of whom hoping to top the last one’s efforts to come up with a nuttier way to purge the kulaks for...

Democrats seem to agree: A job guarantee will be part of the 2020 election debate. What they don't yet agree on is what a "job guarantee" is. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is working on a full blown national bill to enshrine the right to a job. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) has a bill that would essentially run a test pilot of Sanders' program. The Congressional Full Employment Caucus has been pushing yet another national job guarantee bill, with some differences from Sanders' plan, for years. Finally, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) just introduced his own bill, which would subsidize more private...

FULL TITLE: ‘Dumb and DUMBER.’ Cory Booker interviews Alyssa Milano about ‘these dark times’ and we can’t stop laughing Holy cow this is dumb. Cory Booker interviewed Alyssa Milano about these dark times in our country … because apparently a successful economy, job growth, lower taxes, the denuclearization of North Korea, and ISIS being on the run makes things DARK. And honestly, the jokes write themselves. Watch:

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), who's believed to be considering a 2020 presidential run, raised nearly $1.1 million in the second fundraising quarter of 2018, according to a filing with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). Booker, who’s not up for reelection this year, spent a little more than half a million dollars between April and June. He ended June with more than $3.5 million in the bank. This is Booker's largest quarterly fundraising haul since the start of the 2018 cycle, and the first time he's raised more than $1 million in a single quarter. “I heard from constituents today asking...

"The Newark Police Division has been notified by the United States Capitol Police (USCP) regarding a threat on the life of New Jersey Senator Cory Booker and his family members," Mayor Ras Baraka said in a statement on Saturday, according to ABC News. "As a result, members of the Police Division’s Executive Protection Unit have been assigned to provide security at the Senator’s residence in Newark," Baraka added. The mayor said the city is closely coordinating with USCP “to ensure Senator Booker is able to carry out his duties of serving New Jersey's residents in Congress in a safe manner."

Donald Trump Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski, who was falsely accused of assault and battery by attention-seeking hoaxer Michelle Fields in March, will head up Donald Trump’s VP search. The Hill reported: "Donald Trump’s controversial campaign manager will helm the presumptive GOP nominee’s running mate search, the Washington Post reported Tuesday. Corey Lewandowski will lead the campaign’s vetting of prospective vice presidential candidates, a process the Post says will “ramp up” shortly. Ben Carson, who ended his own presidential bid earlier this year, has confirmed previously that he will be on the search committee as well. Carson has so far muddied...

The Department of Justice is preparing to charge New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez with corruption. Menendez, a Democrat, may not leave office quietly — his term isn’t up until 2018 — but if he does resign, it could present Republican Gov. Chris Christie with an opportunity to get back in the good graces of conservatives statewide and around the country. That’s because Christie would get to choose both the temporary replacement for Menendez and the date of a special election to fill the seat. Christie could choose a moderate Republican such as state Sen. Tom Kean Jr. or former Rep....

Fox news just called it for Cory Gardner over Mark Udall in Colorado..

Rep. Cory Gardner (R-CO) has been no real friend to immigration reform — a fact that is sure to hurt him this fall as he runs for Sen. Mark Udall’s (D-CO) seat. Today, hours after Rep. Luis Gutierrez declared legislative immigration reform officially dead, and laid the blame on the House GOP’s refusal to take action, more than 70 advocates in Colorado took over Rep. Gardner’s district office and called him out for his role in opposing immigration reform.

Colorado Rep. Cory Gardner plans to enter the Republican Senate primary to take on freshman Sen. Mark Udall, three sources told POLITICO Wednesday. Gardner had rebuffed multiple overtures from national Republicans over the past year, but recruitment efforts continued into this week as the GOP strained to find a viable challenger to Udall, who polls have shown is vulnerable. News of Gardner’s move was first reported by The Denver Post. Newark Mayor Cory Booker, a Democrat who landed in hot water with his party on Sunday after criticizing President Obama’s attacks on Mitt Romney’s time at Bain Capital, may have found an unexpected ally in left-wing activist Van Jones. “An urban mayor who nearly DIED saving neighbor from a fire, has earned right 2 demand integrity & courage from other leaders,” Jones tweeted on Tuesday in a message addressed to Booker’s Twitter handle. Booker, who indeed did save a neighbor from a burning building earlier this year, has been on the receiving end of much criticism from Democrats and liberal...
