The Income Tax: Root of all Evil by Frank Chodorov Foreword THIS WAS, to be sure, "the home of the free and the land of the brave." Americans were free simply because the government was too weak to intervene in the private affairs of the people it did not have the money to do so and they were brave because a free people is always venturesome. The obligation of freedom is a willingness to stand on your own feet. The early American wanted it that way. He was wary of government, especially one that was out of his reach. He...

City First Lady Chirlane McCray is handing over more than $500,000 to an Arab-American activist who came under fire for denouncing critics on Twitter as “Zionist trolls.” The Arab-American Association of New York, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit run by Linda Sarsour, was selected as one of 14 groups by the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York to receive $10 million over five years to integrate mental-health services into their community programs. McCray oversees the fund.

If Donald Trump wins the Republican presidential nomination this summer, Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus is vowing not to give the billionaire’s campaign control over the party leading up to the November election, according to a report in The New York Times. The Times said Priebus “has also let it be known that he does not plan to let the Trump campaign take over the party apparatus if he captures the nomination. “At an off-the-record happy hour with reporters last week, Mr. Priebus said clearly that, regardless of precedent, he would not be layered over by Mr. Trump’s loyalists,...

The road trip from the Colorado statehouse to the Capitol building in Montana is about 800 miles, but the psychological distance from a Denver meth-house to the office of Helena’s Commissioner of Political Practices has to be greater than that. And that’s only the beginning of this bizarre story, and just the latest example of partisan public officials using government power to crush their political opponents. In Washington, D.C., Lois Lerner, head of the tax-exempt organizations division of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), allegedly slowed or killed the nonprofit applications of conservative and libertarian organizations. In Wisconsin, Kevin Kennedy, director...

In my humble opinion, the Republican party has effectively and totally destroyed itself with its relentless character assassination vendetta against its own frontrunner, Donald Trump. There will be no recovering from this. Here are the only possible scenarios I can see, as we finish the primary season and move into the GOP convention:Scenario #1: The only scenario that has the potential to expand the GOP demographic base permanently and beat Hillary is for Donald Trump to win the nomination and face Hillary in the general election, either with a clear majority or a near majority of delegates.Scenario #2: Ted Cruz...

My local talk radio is at least NINE hours per day of Trump hate. Beck, Levin and a CNN contributor/local guy Ben Ferguson. I certainly can see talk show hosts being divided, perhaps even with a majority supporting globalism/establishment. BUT it is ALL TRUMP HATE/ALL THE TIME. I just wanted to know (from Trumpers, this is a Trumpers only thread): IS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR LOCAL TALK RADIO STATION(S) LIKE MINE? Does this unanimity seem a bit..coincidental? It all seemed to happen at one time. All their rants are INTERCHANGEABLE. Their rants are the same anti-Trump screeds you see online,...

Sweden seemed to be at the forefront of the newest globalist scheme digital money v. cash, advocating a cashless global economy with a one-world currency. A CBS World News article reported in 2012 that a small number of businesses in Sweden accepted only credit cards, including some churches, even though elderly people prefer cash, especially in rural areas. Bjorn Ulvaeus, a former rocker, stated that cash encourages theft, citing his own son who was the victim of armed robbery three times. Cheating and cash theft may have declined in Sweden but cybercrime around the world is indisputably on the rise....

The University of California, San Diego, and one of its neuroscientists have become embroiled in a national debate over the legality and ethics of using human fetal tissue to study various diseases. The controversy escalated last week when a House committee confirmed that it plans planning to issue 17 subpoenas to labs, medical supply companies and others to obtain the names of scientists, graduate students and technicians who work with such tissue.

Sometimes I feel badly for Ben Carson. He worked hard in his run for president – and you know I can relate – and when his campaign ended unsuccessfully he decided to endorse Donald Trump. Now sure, when you endorse someone, it’s fair that people ask you to defend that person’s positions, records, public statements, etc. And Donald Trump provides plenty of material for people to ask about. But when Dr. Carson went on The View last week, he didn’t get asked about anything Trump has actually done or said. Instead, Whoopi Goldberg put him on the spot by trying...

When Cadbury’s decided to change the recipe of its creme eggs last year, many fans were less than impressed. Now the firm itself has been left with a nasty taste in its mouth after it was claimed that the move contributed to a £10million loss in sales last Easter - a fall of five per cent. The company switched from using the famous Cadbury Dairy Milk for the shells to a similar alternative in what appeared an attempt to save money.

There has been a reoccurring thought- that POTUS would declare martial law if he saw his legacy about to go down the drain. So, I wrote a book along this line. Essentially, I believe that there would be a schism, with much of the south and midwest declaring their allegiance to the Constitution and resisting the Washington dictates. Some states would sit it out, others, like California, would support martial law. If interested, the book is out there on Amazon Unlimited. Those that have read it think it is a good read.

Microsoft has issued an apology over their creation of an artificial intelligence program behind a Twitter account that began to post and retweet racist remarks. The chatbot, named Tay, was designed to become more intelligent as users interacted with it; however, it quickly started imitating targeted trolling messages tweeted at it, claiming that “the holocaust was made up,” “the Jews did 9/11,” and “I f***ng hate feminists and they should all die and burn in hell.” As a result, Tay was deactivated within 24 hours of its introduction. But on Friday, Peter Lee, Microsofts Head of Research, said the company...
