Perhaps this is just a vent, but as time goes on, I feel more and more frustrated and disappointed with the Republican Party. This party is supposed to stand for liberty and limited government yet look at what it has done (and hasn't) in the past 8 years: Spending increases in Medicare, education (by over 100%), welfare and "entitlements", "fighting the global AIDS epidemic", fighting world poverty, etc; A complete lack of border enforcement, an unfunded and unmanned fence, troops spread all across the world in countries like Japan and Germany that certainly don't need our defense at the expense...

Buckley Jr., who died last week, Feb. 27, at the age of 82. Buckley had founded the influential conservative magazine National Review in 1955, wrote numerous books, and saw his twice-weekly column syndicated...

To say that the Chicago Tribune’s front page is coordinated with its editorial page is such a gross understatement. One need only remember the hatchet job of GOP Senatorial candidate Jack Ryan last year. Today, the Tribune’s front page signals an editorial rejection of Justice Samuel Alito for the U.S. Supreme Court. Abortion is the theme of both of the stories in the right-hand two stories.
