Dueling Democrats Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders were at a dead heat during the Iowa caucus, but their numbers were even closer at a Polk County precinct. Delegates with Des Moines’ Precinct 70 sided with Clinton after breaking a 61-61 split with a coin toss, Univision reported. Caucus rules allow for a coin flip to decide a victor in case of a tie. CLINTON, SANDERS IN TIGHT CONTEST AS IOWA CAUCUSES OPEN The coin landed heads-down in favor of Clinton at the Weeks Middle School gymnasium. “That’s how it works,†one voter sporting Sanders stickers said. “It was very,...

The Bernie Sanders campaign said early Tuesday morning that it was informed by the Iowa Democratic Party that results from 90 precincts were missing. A spokesperson for the Iowa Democratic Party did not immediately respond to TheBlaze's request for comment. With 98 percent of the precincts reporting, Clinton only led Sanders by 0.3 points, 49.8 percent to Sanders' 49.6 percent.

DES MOINES, Iowa — The room at Bernie Sanders' rally here turned ice cold when Hillary Clinton's speech took over the televisions here. The crowd booed loudly at first, then cheered when the sound cut out. The sound soon returned and Clinton was drowned out by further boos when she said "I'm a progressive who gets things done." It escalated from there: Chants of "She's a liar!" took over the room before the campaign just entirely shut off the stream, cutting away from MSNBC entirely.

The federal judge overseeing the main Hillary Clinton e-mail lawsuit has scheduled a status conference for next week to see where the headline-generating case goes from here. Judge Rudolph Contreras will ask the lawyers at the hearing on February 9 where the lawsuit stands, now that the State Department has said it will finish disclosing the relevant documents by the end of the month. February 9 also happens to be the day of the New Hampshire primary. A year ago, Jason Leopold, an investigative reporter for VICE News, filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the State Department, seeking...

EXCLUSIVE: Highly classified Hillary Clinton emails that the intelligence community and State Department recently deemed too damaging to national security to release contain “operational intelligence†– and their presence on the unsecure, personal email system jeopardized “sources, methods and lives,†a U.S. government official who has reviewed the documents told Fox News. The official, who was not authorized to speak on the record and was limited in discussing the contents because of their highly classified nature, was referring to the 22 “TOP SECRET†emails that the State Department announced Friday it could not release in any form, even with entire...

Monday in an appearance on CNN’s “New Day,†after dismissing the importance of any questions about her email arrangement while secretary of state, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton pointed to what she wants to get done as president and asked people to “hold her accountable.â€

Ok.... we ALL have our favorites we are hoping for to win on the GOP side, and let's face it, it's getting very hairy! Let's take a time out from tearing at each other's throats over Trump, Cruz, etc. Let's flip the coin for a second.... Who are YOU rooting for on the Dem side to win? BERNIE or HILLARY? Why?? I'm still torn who would be the most easily beatable, and IF they one, who would do the least amount of damage to the country...

"I'm torn between Bernie and Hillary. I really like Bernie's message, how he wants to shift how the government is handled," she said. "But I also like Hillary and all the experience she has and I also think she's really, really smart ... and I was really impressed by her knowledge of foreign policy and just how witty she is. She seems to be fast on her feet," she said. Despite all the converts, Marlu Arbac, who has been preaching the turnout message door-to-door on LULAC's behalf in 22 degree weather, couldn't help feeling disappointed when she recently encountered a...

The State Department on Friday said for the first time that “top secret†material had been sent through Hillary Clinton’s private computer server, and that it would not make public 22 of her emails because they contained highly classified information. The department announced that 18 emails exchanged between Mrs. Clinton and President Obama would also be withheld, citing the longstanding practice of preserving presidential communications for future release. The department’s spokesman, John Kirby, said that exchanges did not involve classified information.

When The POLITICO Caucus debuted in mid-February of last year, a majority of Iowans said Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker would win the caucuses if they were held then. Now, nearly a year later, roughly the same number -- 60 percent --see Donald Trump as the winner when the votes are counted Monday night. Few on either side doubted last February that Hillary Clinton would win Iowa. Now, Democrats still expect her to win -- but Republicans don't. That's according to members of The POLITICO Caucus-- a panel of influential strategists, operatives and activists in Iowa and the three other states...

George Soros in December donated $6 million to the leading super PAC supporting Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, marking the return of the billionaire financier as among the biggest givers in all of American politics. The massive check brings to $8 million the Hungarian-born investor's total 2015 giving to pro-Clinton groups. The super PAC that received the $6-million check, Priorities USA Action, raised $25 million in the second half of 2015, according to a report it filed Sunday evening with the Federal Election Commission. The haul brings the PAC’s tally to $41 million for the year, and left it with a...

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA — Jeff Weaver, the presidential campaign manager for Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.), says he is worried Hillary Clinton’s team is resorting to “irregular†tactics to win the Iowa caucus on Feb. 1. Weaver’s concern is based on what he described as an “alarming†letter received by a voter named Dennis Clifford in Hawarden, Iowa. Although Clifford is a Sanders supporter, the letter, from a Clinton campaign office in Sioux City, urged him to caucus for Clinton and identified a non-resident as his local precinct captain. That would not actually be prohibited, but Weaver, who admitted he...

The State Department is lying when it says it didnt know until it was too late that Hillary Clinton was improperly using personal e-mails and a private server to conduct official business because it never set up an agency e-mail address for her in the first place, the departments former top watchdog says. This was all planned in advance to skirt rules governing federal records management, said Howard J. Krongard, who served as the agency’s inspector general from 2005 to 2008. The Harvard-educated lawyer points out that, from Day One, Clinton was never assigned and never used a state.gov e-mail...

Talk about a race coming down to the wire. Tomorrow, the people of Iowa will caucus to determine how the state’s delegates will be allocated. Right now, it appears as though Sanders and Clinton are basically in a dead heat, with Sanders holding a slight edge by one percentage point. Recent polls have suggested that Martin O’Malley supporters, who will probably not reach the 15% threshold in the vast majority of districts, will mostly support Bernie Sanders as opposed to Hillary Clinton. This would probably be worth another 1-2% for the popular vote.
