  • Christianity boosts wellbeing!

Teleios conducted a wellbeing survey and found personal wellbeing was better among evangelical Christians compared to social Christians, Christian seekers or non-Christians. Evangelicals were more content, at peace, and joyful than the other groups. This was the first survey, to our knowledge, evaluating wellbeing in young Christians versus non-Christians. These findings support our prior research showing Christians who adhere to their faith report better general wellbeing. In addition, peer-reviewed medical literature notes that those practicing the Christian faith report better wellbeing than those who do not, specifically in healthy individuals, patients with a variety of diseases and those with addiction...
  • A Quick, Compelling Bible Study Vol. 14 – ‘Christians Lead by Example’

Author's Note: Interested readers who missed Vol. 2 – 13 of this series can click here,  but Vol. 1 is here. In our culture, there is an unfortunate trend, as stated in this October 2019 Pew Research Center headline: “In U.S., Decline of Christianity Continues at Rapid Pace.” Naturally, this means fewer people will be attending church and studying the Bible. However, those of us who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are steadfast in our faith and strive to operationalize our love for Him by being “Christ-like” in all we do. That sentiment points to ‘Christ in you the hope...
  • Christianity Today calls on churches to lead on reparations: ‘Repentance is not enough’

Following George Floyd's death, the nation may not be ready for reparations on racism issues but the "church can lead the way in biblical restitution," according to the president and CEO of Christianity Today. Timothy Dalrymple said "repentance alone is not enough" for white evangelicals to atone for the nation's "original sin" of racism in an op-ed for the magazine. "The virus of racism infected our church, our Constitution and laws, our attitudes and ideologies. We have never fully defeated it," Dalrymple wrote.

I explore the historical/ideological roots of the BLM movement, and demonstrate why it's not only unscriptural to partner with them, but destructive to the black community in this country.
  • You Can Be A Christian, You Can Be A Marxist, But You Can’t Be Both

It’s unclear how many Christians are going along with the current neo-Marxist collective guilt movement out of fear, a misunderstanding of what they’ve signed onto, or an authentic conversion to the cause. What is clear, however, is that you can’t be a Christian and a Marxist at the same time—not without irresolvable contradictions. Whereas traditional garden-variety Marxism views history as a struggle between the wealthy and the working class “proletariat,” neo-Marxism cranks up the heat and redefines the fight to incorporate biological sex, race, ethnicity, and a whole gambit of various “identity” badges.

Everyone is condemning racism. There is no overt pro-racism side to speak of, and most accusations of racism are denied with apparent sincerity. But we do not all mean the same thing by it.We may agree that racism is a perennial poison in our nation, as evidenced by persistent racial disparities, particularly between black and white Americans, but we disagree over what racism is, what sustains it, and how to respond to it.Not all anti-racism is created equal, and the differences between approaches are more than questions of tactics. It is not just that radicals and crooks have used...
  • Christianity is great for society!

Teleios found that countries that are most free not only demonstrate better average wellbeing, but are associated with numerous economic, legal, security, health, and educational measures associated potentially with enhanced wellbeing for the entire population as well as for women and children. Further, freer countries are much more likely to be Christian. In contrast, countries which persecute Christians are associated with poorer measures of freedom and wellbeing for the entire population. In summary, freedom in Christianity is good for society in promoting a healthy population!

God loves you and wants your best! Be sure you are a Christian based on these four simple Bible truths! 1. Man sinned; 2. God is just, requiring a punishment for sin; 3. But out of love God sent His Son, Jesus Christ who by dying on the cross, provided forgiveness of sins in taking man’s deserved punishment; 4. Therefore, by faith alone in Christ’s sacrifice for our sins and belief in His resurrection, man can gain eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, Romans 3:21-26)

45% of Catholics and 39% of “Protestant/Other-denomination” Christians voted Democrat in the 2016 Presidential Elections, according to Pew. In other words, Christians have the power to swing the 2020 election—and a responsibility to exercise this power in a way that upholds Biblical values and religious freedom.  Churches have been barred from holding normal public worship for nearly three months. Restraints on churches have been most severe in Democrat-ruled areas. Democrats claim they “clean up the messes made by Republicans,” yet Christian oppression is strongest in cities like Chicago, Louisville, Madison and Holly Springs and in states like New York and...

Teleios conducted a wellbeing survey in Christians and the general population. This is the first survey, to our knowledge, evaluating wellbeing in young Christians versus non-Christians. We found Christianity may help wellbeing by giving confidence in both day-to-day living and hope. The findings for wellbeing were also supported by further results that evangelicals were more content (P=0.001), at peace (P>0.001), and joyful (P=0.002) than the other groups. • America in the Aftermath of George Floyd: Between Paganism and Christianity

Most of human history is pagan. The advent of Christianity is a relatively recent affair. Some say Christianity is now receding. Some say Christianity has not yet fully taken hold. Is secularism taking hold? Is paganism reemerging? Do we live in a strange time characterized by a return to paganism, though with Christian characteristics? Whichever account is correct has implications for America in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death. The pagan world was the world of many gods, each associated with a people who made payments and sacrifices to their gods. Rousseau wrote in The Social Contract that when pagan...

In the dusty highlands of northern Ethiopia, a team of archaeologists recently uncovered the oldest known Christian church in sub-Saharan Africa, a find that sheds new light on one of the Old World’s most enigmatic kingdoms—and its surprisingly early conversion to Christianity. An international assemblage of scientists discovered the church 30 miles northeast of Aksum, the capital of the Aksumite kingdom, a trading empire that emerged in the first century A.D. and would go on to dominate much of eastern Africa and western Arabia. Through radiocarbon dating artifacts uncovered at the church, the researchers concluded that the structure was built...

  • Trump Went To Church. The Rest Of The Country Must Follow — Now

President Donald Trump went to church Monday. That isn’t exactly accurate. There was no chorus of worship, no corporate prayer, no holy reverence, no gathering of believers, and thus no church. Just the leader of the free world and the charred, boarded-up shell of a building, marred with fire at the hands of mutinous rogues. Amid nationwide protests and riots over the needless death of George Floyd at the hands of dishonorable officers, the president stood outside the vandalized historic structure. St. John’s Episcopal Church isn’t the only desolate house of worship today. Church buildings across America stand as empty...

A senior Army chaplain earlier this month emailed other chaplains the text of “Coronavirus and Christ,” a brief book by famed author, podcaster, and pastor John Piper. The command chaplain of U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys in South Korea, Col. Moon H. Kim, wrote in his email: “This book has helped me refocus my sacred calling to my savior Jesus Christ to finish strong. Hopefully this small booklet would help you and your Soldiers, their Families, and others who you serve.”This email and the attached book have led to complaints from 22 other chaplains, who’ve enlisted the help of the Military...
  • Why Christians Should Read the Pagan Classics: Introduction

The power of the word classic cannot be underestimated, communicating as it does the idea of excellence, truth, order, discipline, and beauty. The word “classic” brings to mind something that has withstood the test of time, and by virtue of this fact, participates in some way in the timeless and the eternal. And what is the only thing we know of with these attributes but God and His Eternal Word? When looked at this way, every Christian should want a classical education for their children: It has everything we instinctively want. But when we examine this word “classic,” we find...
  • Why Christians Should Read the Pagan Classics Reason #1: Architecture

REASON #1: ARCHITECTURE Of all of the points that I will make, this is the easiest to understand because it is so visible: we see its evidence every day. The power and beauty of classical architecture is everywhere, from grand buildings like our Supreme Court to our humble everyday homes. The Greeks discovered the proportions that are most pleasing to the human eye which, they tell us, are based on nature’s greatest work of art: the human body. Scale, mass, proportion, and symmetry—the principles of classical architecture—were worked out by the Greeks in great detail and built upon in succeeding...
